I give 5 stars but this establishment deserves much more. Thank you again for our pleasant, unforgettable 3-day stay (room 17 with the little dog)

22/06/2024: Accueil timide mais convivial. Le restaurant propose une ardoise rn plus de la carte mais le dimanche soir, toutes les propositions ne sont plus disponibles, dommage ! Bonne cuisine pour un tarif plus que correct.

26/08/2024: Scandaleux ! Le restaurant était privatisé pour 6 personnes ce lundi 26 août donc ce restaurant gastro ne reçoit personne d'autre et le personnel (peu sympa) nous a répondu que nous avions qu'à privatiser pour avoir le droit de manger... C'était idem pour les jours suivants... Alors il faut annoncer la couleur ,dire que c'est un restaurant privé pour une certaine élite et sans faire de pub pour une cuisine d'exception...

13/08/2024: A mi parcours de visite de ce superbe domaine ( château , festival des jardins etc ) une halte gourmande bienvenue pour un plat dessert verre de vin à 32 E ( ex : lotte délicieuse , légume et sauce savoureuse , en dessert thé gourmand plus vernies divers propositions à base de chocolats excellents, le tout accompagné d’un bon vin bio régional ) nous avons trouvé certaines critiques excessives alors que l’accueil et le service sont de qualité. Le seul bémol du jour est dû au fait que nous y étions un jour de très forte chaleur ( canicule ) et sous la verrière..

13/08/2024: Un grand plaisir d'avoir séjourné dans l'une des chambres et de dîner au Relais de la Tour !!! Des amuse-bouches au dessert (.... en passant par le petit-déjeuner), quantité, qualité et présentation, tout est parfait !! Les mets sont raffinés et délicieux, les propriétaires particulièrement sympathiques et au petit soin, et tellement agréable de dîner sous les arbres, les pieds dans l'herbe. Et nous n'oublierons pas d'adresser nos félicitations à la jeune serveuse.

26/06/2024: Visiting Montrichard for an introduction to falconry, my partner and I arrived in town around 1:00 p.m. and the idea was to find an open establishment to have a bite to eat before hitting the road again. We saw the light, we went inside and sat down. There was one dish of the day left: beef bourguignon with three desserts of your choice. I, who loathe beef bourguignon, which is a dish that is not to my taste, did not want to turn back so I did violence to myself. And I loved this establishment. The staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. The dish was magnificent and we noticed that certain things had been added in order to move away a little from the classism of the homemade Burgundy with onions bringing back a lot of acidity, crunch and perfect seasoning, and it worked. Dessert, a French toast-style brioche with a small scoop of ice cream with a crunchy note and a caramelized apple works too. The coffee, without talking about it at length although it should be noted, is of very good quality. In short, an establishment that shines for its simplicity and yet also for the refinement of its dishes and the kindness of its staff. Often out and about, your establishment is typically the kind of restaurant that you enter at random in a region that you don't know, but to which you could return every day. Thank you :)

26/09/2024: Deplorable welcome, entry at 13€ (it's not worth it), when we decide to leave after entry, we are told that it is strange behavior, and we are lectured like children. I don't recommend at all

22/08/2024: A good hotel, very clean, very comfortable bed, a good welcome and a very nice breakfast. The hotel has a very well-appointed lounge area for a small dinner on site. I recommend.

01/08/2024: Small restaurant with average cuisine. The dish of the day, Basquaise chicken, lacks peppers, tomatoes, onions and flavor. The waitress serves you and prepares the plates without washing hands between two, from the trash directly to the salad, more than limit.

24/06/2024: We are seasoned Relais & Chateaux travellers and have come to expect a high standard of both accomodation and service. This place falls very far short of that. We were ignored on arrival and had to look for staff at every point during our stay. The decor was old, tired and poor. The room facilities were sparse and there was an atmosphere throughout of costcutting. The wifi was appalling and, therefore, useless. To add insult to injury, on checkout we discovered that the hotel tariff for our suite was actually €80 per night less that we were being charged! The only saving grace was that the dinner in the restaurant was quite good albeit the cheese course was chosen for you, which is unusual in France. Another example of the owners trying to save money? Wouldn’t stay here again and could not recommend.

28/08/2024: We stayed 2 nights in a very quiet room with parking available to customers. We had dinner and it was very good value for money. The hoteliers are extremely kind and keen to do the right thing. On occasion if we come back we will come back with pleasure. (Thanks for the coffee). Sincerely.
