Les meilleurs restaurantsde cuisine française en Roanne

14/09/2026: A real gem! This restaurant has become one of my favorites in Roanne! The cuisine is refined yet unpretentious, with beautifully prepared ingredients. The service strikes the perfect balance: incredibly warm and friendly, while remaining highly professional. And honestly, considering the quality of the food and the atmosphere, the prices are ridiculously low. A superb place that you absolutely must discover.

10/09/2026: Highly recommended restaurant. Very pleasant setting with attractive decor. A menu with plenty of choices to suit all tastes. Beautifully presented and delicious food. Attentive staff who take great care of their customers.

06/09/2026: I witnessed a scene that frankly made me very uncomfortable. While I was peacefully seated on a restaurant terrace, a rival restaurateur approached a customer in a very aggressive and, moreover, public manner, accusing him of leaving without paying for his meal and mentioning, in front of everyone, checks that had allegedly bounced at another restaurant on the same street. That business problems exist is one thing, but there's a way to resolve them without humiliating someone or putting them in a difficult position in front of others. In my opinion, this is neither professional nor worthy of the restaurant business. I am in the industry myself, and for me, hospitality, discretion, respect, and good manners are integral parts of the profession. This demonstration has affected me enough that I already know I will never set foot in your establishment again. Before lecturing a customer in public, some might do better to examine their own image. The professional attire worn that day, particularly worn and unkempt, hardly reflected the etiquette they were lecturing others on. Disputes are resolved with discretion and professionalism, not in a public display on a terrace. Let everyone learn from this. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ P.S.: It's also worth noting that the man appears to be suffering from a brain condition.

04/09/2026: We had dinner at Le Coq en Poulpe for our anniversary and everything was absolutely perfect. The service, the food, the warm welcome, and even the thoughtful touch of offering us two glasses of champagne for the occasion. We will definitely be back to try the new menu.

13/09/2026: If you're passing through Roanne... Stop by! The welcome and service are top-notch... and the raclette is worth the trip. A true mountain atmosphere right in the city... Thank you again, I'll remember my 50th birthday... a lovely gesture...

15/09/2026: Always a pleasure to have lunch at the ramparts! The daily menu was excellent, with flavorful and well-seasoned dishes. The floating island dessert was certainly homemade and quite generous. Impeccable service. Good value for money. Don't hesitate to go!

15/09/2026: Honestly, I was more than pleasantly surprised; the food is excellent. The foie gras is delicious. The fresh goat cheese salad is a delight. We then had the chef's burger with pulled beef. Absolutely amazing. The waiter/owner was funny, friendly, and very professional. A truly excellent place.

31/08/2026: A great stopover on the way back from Aix-en-Provence! Spacious room, well-insulated from outside noise, at the back of the building. Perfect parking, secure and free! Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly. There's no restaurant on site, but you get a 10% discount at the nearest restaurant (7-minute walk), which serves very good traditional cuisine. A perfect evening with a good night's rest. Thank you!

23/07/2026: A lovely and elegant new terrace, homemade cuisine with tasty and generous dishes. A truly excellent place.

04/09/2026: It had been 11 years since my last visit, as I was no longer in the area, and I found the same quality, service, and my Dariole cheese was absolutely top-notch. What a pleasure and what a treat! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 David from Just2Sing

14/08/2026: Unbeatable value for money. It's good. Very good, even, while remaining simple and affordable. The setting is superb.

06/09/2026: I recommend the charcuterie board: very good. However, the service doesn't live up to the image the place tries to project.

20/07/2026: Good food, special mention for the desserts which were delicious! It's a shame, however, that the pike quenelles weren't served with a side dish, like just a plate of rice for example.
