11/05/2026: We ate there the weekend of May 9th. It's a very good restaurant, a little outside the city center, on a quiet street, but it offers excellent cuisine, delicious dishes made with quality local ingredients. I absolutely loved the chocolate baba with rum—that's an understatement! It was an amazing combination, with a coffee cream that perfectly balanced the rum's bitterness. The service and cleanliness were impeccable.

08/05/2026: We stopped by last night and had a lovely time. From the appetizer to the dessert, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Special mention goes to the cod, which was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables, which were crisp and delicious. We will gladly return.

25/03/2026: Like most restaurants on Rue St-Nicolas, this place is truly high-quality and the price-to-quality ratio is very good (€25 per person) including a bottle of wine, two daily specials (set menu with dessert or starter included) + coffee! The place is charming, not very big but very cozy. The service is quick and professional; the owners, Jessica, manage the dining room and her husband Ludovic is in the kitchen, and they make a great team! I recommend it. PS: As with all restaurants on the street, during peak tourist season, I can't guarantee that the service will be as good outside as it is inside when it's busy.

22/03/2026: Recommended by the Château de Brézé, we went and weren't disappointed. The welcome was very friendly, and we were served by Killian, who was smiling and very attentive. Thank you to him! 🤗 As for the meal... What can I say? A real treat. The duck skewer was perfectly cooked, and the desserts were also delicious. All this with an aperitif and starter for less than 40 euros per person. We will definitely return.

19/04/2026: If you're hungry, keep walking... We left absolutely starving. The portions are tiny. In all the photos, the foie gras appetizer shows two slices, but I only got one very thin one. Disappointing! Borderline rip-off. The children's menu arrived a good 10 minutes before mine, so my daughter ate alone. She ate it in 2 minutes because there were only 4 small pieces of chicken, half a potato cut into slices, and 3 or 4 carrot rounds. I asked the waitress to add more vegetables because my daughter said she was very hungry, and then she'd eat them again when she got home—unbelievable after leaving a restaurant! The ingredients may be fresh, but the taste is just not there. The dishes are bland and tasteless. The waitress is very nice and does everything she can. The problem must be in the kitchen. I don't understand the good reviews for this restaurant unless the people who were there had eaten beforehand. I asked for mustard, I never received it, and we got our desserts 35 minutes after the main course. And as for my dessert, I don't know how the cook managed to cut such a thin slice of cake. I was hoping to make up for my hunger with dessert, but no such luck. I do not recommend this restaurant.

12/04/2026: The fouees weren't golden enough. The fromage blanc was very grainy and acidic. The crumble topping was very thick. The coffee was served cold. The water for the tea was barely lukewarm. An experience we won't repeat.

23/04/2026: Superb brasserie, the food is excellent, the welcome is warm, and it's always a pleasure to return! A must-visit in Saumur. Special mention for the chef's revisited Béarnaise sauce.
