13/03/2026: Disappointed by this restaurant. The Savoyard pizza was loaded but lacked any refinement. The crust was overcooked.
However, the portions were generous.
The waitress was very pleasant, but the owner was unwelcoming.
I won't be returning to this place.
02/03/2026: A very warm welcome. Typical bistro decor. A very pleasant place. We ate fouées (a type of flatbread), which were delicious. Various dishes are available on the menu. Affordable value for money. I recommend this restaurant.

11/03/2026: We had lunch with our family yesterday at this restaurant, and it was a wonderful discovery!
Street parking isn't always easy, but that's completely beyond the restaurant's control.
The dining room is extremely pleasant, tastefully decorated in a modern and welcoming style. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was very friendly and professional. Everything looked impeccable and spotless, which was much appreciated.
The service was perfect, attentive without being intrusive, with genuine care for the customers. The dishes were beautifully presented and, above all, delicious: excellent flavors, elegant presentation, and clearly high-quality ingredients. In my opinion, the menu offers excellent value for money.
However, one thing was a real problem for us: a diabetic was at our table, and no sugar-free drinks were offered, neither as an aperitif nor during the meal. No zero-calorie soda, no sugar-free iced tea, or any suitable alternative. This person therefore had no choice but to drink only water from the beginning to the end of the meal, which is quite unfortunate nowadays when these options have become so common and important to some people. This really needs to be reconsidered so that all customers can fully enjoy the experience.
Despite this, it was a very nice experience that we highly recommend.

Les Terrasses de Saumur Restaurant

17/03/2026: One-night stay with a friend, booked a week in advance. We arrived around 4 pm to drop off our luggage.
The hotel normally has a relaxation area with a sauna and hammam for an extra charge, which was one of the main reasons I chose this establishment. Once there, we wanted to use this area, but unfortunately, we learned it was undergoing maintenance: the spa was empty, and access to the sauna and hammam was impossible. It's a bit of a shame not to inform guests beforehand.
Camille, the receptionist, was lovely and explained that she had only been informed that very morning. We certainly didn't know.
The next morning, we had breakfast around 9 am. The view from the terrace is very pleasant, but an employee was cleaning it with a pressure washer, with all the noise that entails, even though breakfast service ended at 10 am. This could have been done later. However, on Friday evening we enjoyed the meal served on-site: everything was delicious, the service impeccable, with entertainment and two superb singers.
The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Despite these minor hiccups, we had a pleasant stay.
20/02/2026: I booked, and my wife and I came for the jacuzzi. Unfortunately, the lights weren't working; they were out of order. If they had told us on the phone, I wouldn't have booked. There was no compensation offered. Very disappointing.

20/03/2026: Great atmosphere, just the steak was way overcooked; it had to be cooked three times before it was good.
13/03/2026: When we eat at your restaurant, we're never disappointed with the food.
Just one small complaint about the cleanliness of the plates and cutlery. We had to pick through our own food to get a clean plate without any crust underneath.
What a shame! And we arrived at 11:45 am.

02/01/2026: Bistro in the center of Saumur. An unpretentious place, like a neighborhood bar, serving traditional home-style cooking. The duck parmentier and the croque monsieur were delicious. The portions are very generous.
The manager was very friendly and did her best to communicate with us even though we don't speak French. The food took a little while to arrive, but that was perfectly reasonable considering she was in charge of the bar, the tables, the kitchen… Good value for money.
13/12/2025: A place where you're guaranteed a great time! The food is delicious and plentiful. As for the atmosphere, I think Google should give it a few more stars. A big thank you to Chantal and her regulars for a lovely evening! Warmest regards from Perpignan… 😉

03/03/2026: My husband and I had booked a room for February 14th. Due to a family bereavement, we never actually entered the room. We requested a refund, and they were supposed to call us back the following Monday to process it. Since then, we haven't heard anything. Very disappointed.
24/02/2026: The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet. Dinner and breakfast were plentiful, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Don't change a thing, you're perfect!

30/12/2025: We bought a mirabelle plum log and a sambuco, frankly, it's expensive for a Bavarian cream. Disappointed!
The Combier soufflé was excellent.

31/12/2025: The managers are completely disrespectful, and I see from the reviews that it's the same even for those who actually ate there...
Instead of simply apologizing for not updating the opening hours (10 pm) for December 30th by allowing reservations for 9 pm, they treat people like dirt, brushing them off in an incredibly rude manner.
When you've just driven 600 km to see your mother and little sister, and you arrive at 8:30 pm, counting on this "restaurant"—which was the only traditional French restaurant in the city center "open until 10 pm"—for a family meal, the least you can expect is to be greeted with a smile and a "Sorry, we closed the kitchen at 9 pm tonight..." rather than a "Uh... I'll check with my husband" and a "Yes??" "Without even a single 'hello' from the gentleman, and to top it off, a raised eyebrow that clearly said, 'Why are you bothering me at 9 pm?' I mean, I don't know, what do you think people come to a restaurant for at 9 pm? A game of bowling?
Luckily for our evening, we found it much more pleasant, certainly better, and of a higher standard than the property of these pathetic people."
30/12/2025: We arrived at 1 p.m., not even a hello, just a rude "We're full!" Please continue to ban this restaurant so they at least learn some manners and courtesy.
