Domino's Pizza

19/04/2026: No dough, no pizza. Order canceled. To clarify: I placed the order at 7 PM and called at 8 PM to cancel it.
It's getting more and more disastrous. They're out of toppings on the pizzas, and the staff are incredibly rude. And now they call me saying: No dough, no pizza, we've canceled, have a good evening.

16/04/2026: From the amuse-bouche to dessert, the tasting menu with wine pairings was served with care. I will return.
15/04/2026: The best restaurant in every respect that I've been to in the Saumur region for several years.
Professional and friendly service, refined and creative cuisine (a touch more side dishes perhaps?), a warm and cozy atmosphere—what more could you ask for!
I'm very critical and always find something to criticize, but here, I must admit that everything was perfect. A big thank you to the whole team; we will be back.

05/05/2026: Family meal for 14 people, with a quote received in advance.
We paid the bill and left the restaurant, but very quickly we questioned the total amount paid, approximately €700.
After checking and complaining, we were told there had been an “error” in the quote sent by email, then informed that desserts were not included, even though the waiter had offered to replace desserts with coffee for those who wished. We were also told that at that price, we “weren’t getting a good deal.”
This was followed by more than a month of follow-ups to obtain a refund, with repeated excuses to justify the delays (impossibility of making the transfer, waiting for the son, transfer problems, lack of funds, etc.).
In the end, we received a partial refund of €200, and we let the children’s menus, which were charged at the adult menu price, go unaddressed.
Given the facts and the numerous difficulties encountered in obtaining legal status, everything suggests that the situation was deliberately complicated.
It's a shame, because the meal itself was decent.
A very negative experience. Caution is strongly advised.

14/05/2026: The chef handles everything single-handedly: service, cooking, drinks... And yet, there was hardly any wait, the dishes were carefully prepared, and it was delicious. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place.

25/05/2026: We arrived around 11 am for an aperitif, but ended up staying for lunch. The meal was excellent and reasonably priced. Thank you to François for his quick response; he promptly changed our order of rare meat, served it medium-rare, and even changed it immediately. The staff was attentive, and they used real cloth napkins – top-notch! Thank you again. See you soon!

04/04/2026: Pretty good, excellent service, and a nice atmosphere.
27/03/2026: We came as a group of three for lunch and ordered the "bouillon" menu; it was perfect, both the service and the food. The chicken was cooked to perfection with homemade fries, and the skate with capers was excellent. The seasonal dessert was delicious.
I loved the location, which overlooks a quiet alley with no traffic.

26/04/2026: Overall, a decent stay with a few points for improvement. The room was spacious and very quiet, which was a plus.
However, a major drawback was the bedding: the mattress was very uncomfortable, causing back pain and preventing us from sleeping well. This is especially disappointing given that the establishment advertises quality bedding.
The door insulation could also be improved. We were also surprised to find our "Do Not Disturb" sign removed twice by the neighboring room, which was inconvenient.
We didn't try the breakfast, but having a kettle in the room was a convenient bonus.
In short, a decent stay, but the bedding definitely needs to be replaced.

11/04/2026: Very disappointed. I asked for a table for two at 12:30 pm but was told it wasn't possible because there was only one person in the kitchen. Why have a menu if you can't even come and eat? Appalling!
02/01/2026: Bistro in the center of Saumur. An unpretentious place, like a neighborhood bar, serving traditional home-style cooking. The duck parmentier and the croque monsieur were delicious. The portions are very generous.
The manager was very friendly and did her best to communicate with us even though we don't speak French. The food took a little while to arrive, but that was perfectly reasonable considering she was in charge of the bar, the tables, the kitchen… Good value for money.

28/03/2026: We stopped by today for a coffee and a pastry.
Upon entering the shop, not a greeting, not a glance from the staff, nor from the owner. We waited several minutes before a waitress finally reacted... And to top it all off, she was speaking to people who had arrived after us... So, we pointed it out to her before leaving without ordering anything... An astounding lack of professionalism... And the worst part is, they gave the impression of not caring at all... Avoid this place. There are other, better places in town.

31/12/2025: The managers are completely disrespectful, and I see from the reviews that it's the same even for those who actually ate there...
Instead of simply apologizing for not updating the opening hours (10 pm) for December 30th by allowing reservations for 9 pm, they treat people like dirt, brushing them off in an incredibly rude manner.
When you've just driven 600 km to see your mother and little sister, and you arrive at 8:30 pm, counting on this "restaurant"—which was the only traditional French restaurant in the city center "open until 10 pm"—for a family meal, the least you can expect is to be greeted with a smile and a "Sorry, we closed the kitchen at 9 pm tonight..." rather than a "Uh... I'll check with my husband" and a "Yes??" "Without even a single 'hello' from the gentleman, and to top it off, a raised eyebrow that clearly said, 'Why are you bothering me at 9 pm?' I mean, I don't know, what do you think people come to a restaurant for at 9 pm? A game of bowling?
Luckily for our evening, we found it much more pleasant, certainly better, and of a higher standard than the property of these pathetic people."
30/12/2025: We arrived at 1 p.m., not even a hello, just a rude "We're full!" Please continue to ban this restaurant so they at least learn some manners and courtesy.
