18/08/2026: What a lovely little champagne shop! 🥂 I popped in on a whim because the impressive selection of champagnes immediately caught my eye. For the size of the shop, there's a truly astonishing amount of choice – and much of it is in stock.
Since we were looking for a bottle to drink right away, I asked about chilled champagnes. The very friendly owner first inquired about our preferences and then recommended a Blanc de Blancs. A perfect recommendation: perfectly chilled, so we could take it with us and enjoy it immediately.
The service was very friendly and knowledgeable, and communication in English was also no problem. I especially appreciated the combination of a wide selection, personalized advice, and the option to spontaneously pick up a chilled champagne.
Exactly what we were looking for – to buy champagne on a whim, perfectly chilled, and enjoy it right away. We'll definitely be back! 🥂

The owner is attentive, and shipping is very fast.

16/08/2026: It has been a legal right in France since July 1, 2021. Law No. 2020-105 of February 10, 2020 (the anti-waste law) requires restaurants and bars to provide reusable or recyclable containers for customers to take home uneaten food, upon request (Juribot) (Article L541-15-7 of the Environmental Code).
Some useful details: The restaurant cannot refuse, except in certain circumstances (all-you-can-eat buffets, where this obligation does not apply). (Comment Ça Marche) The container must be provided, but the law does not explicitly require this service to be free (regioneo) — in practice, most restaurants do not charge for the container.
A restaurant owner can refuse to allow customers to take home certain products for hygiene reasons (for example, certain fish or delicate preparations).
So if you want to get your leftover lunch back, you are perfectly within your rights to ask for it.

The internet connection was not good.
12/04/2026: The hotel boasts a prime location right on the Avenue de Champagne and makes a truly beautiful first impression. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that some areas could benefit from a bit more upkeep and maintenance.
We stayed in the "Banana Room," which pleasantly surprised us – it was especially quiet at night, significantly better than expected for such a central location.
The bathroom could be improved: Unfortunately, there's no towel rack, so you have to improvise to hang your towels. This is somewhat inconvenient.
Breakfast was good and perfectly adequate. However, the reception is only staffed for a few hours a day, which can be a bit limiting depending on your needs.
Overall, it's a nice hotel with a lot of potential that could be truly outstanding with a few improvements.

07/07/2026: We ended up here after walking around Epernay all day and were unpleasantly surprised. We saw a nice menu with a starter, main course, and dessert and ordered it, but with the exception of one starter, everything was quite disappointing in terms of taste, and sometimes we couldn't even finish it. We also only received two pieces of bread in total. The wine was good and the staff friendly, but simply not present often enough in our opinion. Not really recommended, as it was also quite expensive for what we got.
30/06/2026: The food was good. Not overdone, but good. The staff were attentive and the service was prompt. Good wines. The atmosphere gets 3 stars because we found it a bit impersonal. Furthermore, we find the less touristy spots to be a more enjoyable experience. But then again, I am a tourist myself, of course.

02/08/2026: The discounted prices are the same regardless of the work involved. A tartlet at the same price as an opera cake or other elaborate pastries isn't fair. Putting only éclairs and tartlets in an order is excessive. There should be two separate prices for these types of pastries.

Whenever I'm in Épernay, I go there without hesitation.
30/06/2026: Very disappointed with our meal.
I thought I was going to have a great time, but no.
€19.90 for a menu that looked like it belonged in a school cafeteria is a bit much (raw vegetables, pasta with a rather bland veal Milanese, and a fruit salad that wasn't very fresh).
We've eaten at truck stops for €12 before and we've never been disappointed. I won't be back.
