26/09/2024: Super friendly welcome, the room is decorated in an old style and has an atmosphere (do not go there for a romantic dinner). The dishes were generous and divine. A beautiful, generous cuisine with flavors from the North. A treat. Fast service

25/09/2024: Big mistake, the starters arrived before the aperitif. Taste maroilles croquettes with a chuche mourette, how can I put it... we'll come back for the food and wine pairing! We feel rushed, inviting us to hurry from the start of the meal. No dish is noteworthy. The Fricadelles and croquettes are on par with all the snacks in the region, the pudding is nothing exceptional, the Welshs and gratins are bathed in three times too much cheese, it's disgusting (I liked the ham, once you find it). Otherwise the servers seem very friendly but that doesn't make up for a bad meal. The decor looks nice. I say "in the air" because we are plunged in the dark, the candles are already used on the tables and the customers illuminate the menus with their cell phones but apparently this does not bother the staff. In short, a gigantic disappointment from a Northerner wanting to introduce his wife to regional gastronomy. I wanted a glass of gin to end the evening, it will be betaine citrate.

17/09/2024: We went there during the Lille clearance sale, of course we ate mussels and fries, the mussels were very large and excellent as were the fries, the waiters were very pleasant and efficient.

01/10/2024: Vincent is pleasant and helpful. He knows how to put you at ease and is very friendly. We come to the office, just like at home. The whole staff is great, nothing to complain about. Top service, we come back quite often to see our favorite servers! 😁

17/09/2024: When we started to order we were told our choices were unavailable (though we had already ordered wine to suit our meals). Then it turned out that more than half the menu, including everything we wanted, was unavailable. We settled for a cheese tart and frikadeller, neither of which was very enjoyable, served with floppy chips and lettuce. A severe disappointment.

16/09/2024: Dimanche de braderie, cet établissement nous accepte (contrairement à d'autres qui se disent full, ce que je peux comprendre). On nous met en terrasse intérieure, ce qui ne déplaît pas, bien au contraire. Les commandes sont passées rapidement, les plats arrivent vite. Pris un potjeveelsch avec frites/salade, c'était bon mais pas extraordinaire non plus. Le dessert "tarte à la bière" est une expérience puisque j'ai souvent voulu tester. Résultat : très bon. Personnel accueillant, établissement propre et décoration propre à un estaminet. Une belle expérience. Je recommande. 4/5

02/09/2024: We were welcomed by Sébastien and served by Valentin A place that must be remembered at all costs, the place is nice, with local products and staff who take great care of its customers and most importantly, the cuisine is homemade! We'll come back to that.

05/12/2024: What a nice surprise! Finally, an estaminet which comes off the traditional rue de Gand and where there are inevitably fewer people. And less difficulty parking... The welcome is impeccable, the decoration just perfect and the cuisine simply delicious and generous. The service is done with heart and I very warmly recommend this estaminet. Well done !

17/09/2024: Wow, what a nice surprise! Very good “Bistrot”! Quality cuisine where even the sauces are homemade. The dishes and desserts are generous for a price that is very affordable. There is a fixed menu and daily specials. The daily specials menu is designed to suit all guests: fish, meat, vegetables… Their signature dishes, I would say the Burgers: the Good, the Brute or the Puant…. Take 2 minutes when leaving to chat, a smile... and personally we congratulated them for the quality (yes and the price too).

17/09/2024: Ein kleines Restaurant in der Altstadt von Lille. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und flott. Das Essen war lecker, genau wie das Bier.

09/09/2024: Un peu décevant vu les avis, c’est un peu cher, les mets sont bons, le pied de porc peu copieux… peut être aurais je du le prendre avec des frites. Petite déconvenue dont je ne parlerais pas. Le service est correct. Manque un petit peu de sourire 🙂 à part pour les habitués, mais bon le cadre est très sympa. Je reviendrai certainement tester un plat moins spécifique pour me faire un avis plus juste car les produits sont qualitatifs…

07/09/2024: Une bonne assiette dans un cadre sympa avec un service détendu, mais quel dommage que la carte des vins soit aussi peu variée (surtout Bordeaux et Bourgogne) et tellement trop chère !! Pas étonnant que les autres tables prennent de la bière, et c'est dommage avec des plats de cochon : le vin du mois démarre à 40€, et vous ne trouverez pas grand chose moins cher (35€ mini), la plupart des vins au-delà de 50€, voir 100€, 300€... c'est totalement incohérent avec l'endroit, la carte, le service...et le patron s'en "cogne" totalement quand on le lui fait remarquer. C'est dommage, cela gâche le plaisir de l'assiette et du moment. Nous ne le conseillons donc pas.

29/08/2024: Was welcomed by very kind and helpful staff. My room was on the 3rd floor, lift is available. The hall smells clean, room also clean. The room itself is VERY small, if you don’t like tight spaces be aware of this. The bathroom especially is very close to the door entrance and toilet is kind of strange to flush. The sink water drains a bit slow. Lovely showers, some free soap available. Hair dryer works ok. Tv also works. The bed was also good, the pillows heavenly. But it is very noisy in the evening, the doors shut loud which is really a down point. All in all, okay to stay for 1 night but probably not longer than that.

18/08/2024: Third stay at the Napoléon for me, always pleasant service and ideal location next to Lille Flandre station for access to the city center, I recommend ☺️

30/12/2024: Refined cuisine from appetizers to dessert... homemade. Flavors, presentation and attention, prices contained in short of good French cuisine under the watchful eye of the "boss" in the noble sense of the term who watches over and that makes all the difference. Well done Small portion but sufficient

09/09/2024: Overall, we had a nice experience here and the food was so good, I would return if I am in Lille again. The brunch selections here were excellent. We enjoyed the oeuf à la turque and the avocado toast (which we were able to order without the feta for a dairy free option). Plenty of vegetarian options, but if you need vegan, you will need to ask the staff after you order. The coffees were good too, and they offer oat milk options. The staff speak some English which was very helpful when my French failed me. The only issue was the service - you order through an app and while our order was confirmed, it apparently wasn't transmitted to the kitchen and we waited over an hour. It was clearly a fluke with the technology (other patrons were receiving their food quickly). The staff were responsive with the issue; my only regret is I should've brought it to their attention earlier.

08/09/2024: No service, you need to order food and pay using a QR code, quite pricey. Limited menu, dishes had good flavour - but all three dishes arrived lukewarm/cold. Poached eggs clearly pre made and stored, disappointing. There are much better places we found centrally with nicer dishes and bigger portions which actually arrive warm and with good service.

07/12/2024: Nous avons réservé a 19h30 pour l'anniversaire de notre beau frère, ses 70 ans. Arrivee a l'heure. Anniversaire annoncé lors de la réservation. A notre arrivée, même pas placé on nous demande si à 21h30 nous aurons libéré la place. On répond que l'on ne sait pas dire. Arrivée au moment du dessert 21h, on nous dit que ce n'est pas possible car à 21h30 il y a un deuxième service. Nous demandons à voir la responsable, qui nous réitère la chose. La responsable très désagréable, nous intime de manger notre dessert avant 21h30. Nous sommes servit à 21h24! Nous avons 5 minutes pour manger le dessert! Honteux, on ne reviendra plus. Restaurant à fuir pour l'amabilité de la responsable!
