02/02/2026: Wonderful experience at Bessoi! The staff are very friendly and the food is delicious, a real gem!
31/01/2026: Every time we pass through Besse, we stop at Bessoi. And this time, disappointment. My partner chose poor-quality meat; half of it remained on his plate. I had a bland, lukewarm crepe. As for the service, we're still waiting to be cleared after waiting for the novice waiter (who was managing the entire dining room alone) to come back and perhaps offer us dessert? It's a radical and disappointing change.

12/09/2025: Deplorable welcome: disrespectful staff (we warned them that access to the restroom was dangerous because it was dark, and they told us to clean our glasses or go relieve ourselves in the field next door. Another example: we were told to choose our table carefully, either outside or inside, because they wouldn't move a table up if we changed!
Exorbitant wine prices
Truffade prices were higher than elsewhere, and the charcuterie was not plentiful!
Limited dessert selection, so we didn't order dessert!

10/01/2026: A warm welcome. A true chef who makes delicious homemade dishes and comes to greet the guests in the dining room. A beautiful fireplace and a renovated dining room, a pleasant heated pool...in short, nothing but positive things to say about all the services. Clean room and comfortable bedding. I'm giving it 5 stars, even though some of the hallways could use a little freshening up, because I understand that this is planned as soon as financially possible, and also to encourage the owner who does everything to satisfy his guests.

17/09/2025: My girlfriend and I spent a week at the residence. We were a little worried about the cleanliness/old condition of the premises given the comments, and I must say that we saw nothing like that (week of August 9 to 16). The residence is certainly aging, but nothing bothersome for us. We had a great vacation, and were able to enjoy a very beautiful view.
14/09/2025: Our second stay at Super Besse, and the welcome was always so warm. Thanks to Morane, Océane, and Jonathan for their availability and kindness. We appreciated the apartment makeover and the new sofa, which was much more comfortable! It's a shame the weather let us down a bit.
Thanks again to the entire team.

08/01/2026: Two couples with children wanted to have a drink in the afternoon but were refused entry. This establishment doesn't allow strollers or children – a disgrace in 2026! Avoid it!

Cold crepes, cold chocolate, everything arrived completely cold.
The quality is clearly lacking; the crepes were terrible.
The only positive point: the service was quick, but that absolutely does not make up for the poor quality of the food. We tasted it there and frankly, it was a huge disappointment.

12/11/2024: Excellente crêperie, un accueil sympathique, chaleureux on se sent bien dans ce restaurant. Nous y étions déjà allés pour les crêpes sucrées et là nous avons décidé de tenter le déjeuner , un régal. Je conseille vivement ce restaurant , j’ai hâte de revenir pour goûter d’autres crêpes 🥞. N’hésitez pas allez y, vous serez conquis.
03/09/2024: Une cuisine au top. Très bons produits, très bien prépares. Je recommande... une première halte pour un 4h, du coup un retour pour un déjeuner...

When quality and know-how come together like a bygone era before ugly modernity.
Pleasure of the senses, taste, sight.
Absolutely delicious food with a divine knight shadow.
Restaurant like a museum of tradition. It’s even difficult to understand everything.
Traditional room with its faults which make up its qualities.
Royal breakfast!
My only regret: having arrived in hiking gear, I would have liked a jacquard jacket and a top hat for example…
I will definitely come back and don’t hesitate for a moment, it would be a waste of time….
15/08/2024: Visit this hotel before these types of hotels die out with their staff. This hotel cannot be put into the classic star rating grid. It's not about how many towels you have in the bathroom or how long reception is manned. It's about an authentic experience in an old building. Every part of the building shows its past. It is winding, built over centuries around the city wall. Something has been added there, something built in there. The owner is a unique character who puts his heart and soul into running the hotel (and cooking?). Try the menu in the evening. Just be prepared for what's on offer. It will be very tasty. The service is also part of the setting. Simply immerse yourself in a different hotel world. It's worth it. And please don't be so negative. You can also go to a Best Western where everything is standardized, but please don't complain about this gem, which is completely different.
