22/09/2026: I was very disappointed by my experience at this café-restaurant. The manager's welcome was disrespectful to customers. A clear lack of professionalism completely ruined the experience. Service and business require a minimum level of courtesy.

30/08/2026: Inflation has clearly affected apples too… to the point of making them disappear. This morning, my friend went to PAUL to buy pastries. Two baskets of doughnuts were on display, one with a beautiful "apple" label and, of course, the price tag to match. So he ordered four of those in addition to four chocolate ones. At the checkout, in a kind gesture, they offered him two more at a discount. Thank you, PAUL! Back home, he opened his haul and, lo and behold, a miracle. Five plain doughnuts. Not an apple. Not a single piece. Not even a faint trace of applesauce. So yes, it's hot. Very hot. Perhaps the apples suffered from the heatwave and decided to take a break. We respect that. However, their price was very much present. The plain doughnuts were charged at the same price as the apple doughnuts. The apple has thus become a concept. Invisible in the doughnut, but perfectly visible on the receipt. And since we're talking about a premium experience, no bag was offered. When asked for one, "It'll be 10 cents." So we would have preferred a slightly different arrangement. Two fewer doughnuts, the four apples we actually paid for extra, and perhaps a bag to take everything home.

29/08/2026: I ordered a medium latte, but it was tiny—almost a small! Where's the milk? This has happened several times now. You're supposed to get a more generous amount of coffee when you eat in. It's ridiculous.

19/09/2026: The service was a disaster. I was refused a table on the terrace in the middle of summer because I was wearing shorts… For a café in Lyon, that's incomprehensible! And when the owner, Olivier Farissier, replied, "Well, buy some clothes and come back and sit down," it was frankly contemptuous. An establishment can have its rules, but that doesn't excuse them from speaking properly to their customers. There was absolutely no sense of hospitality or business etiquette in this exchange. An unacceptable experience that makes me have absolutely no desire to return.

05/09/2026: A fantastic evening at Les Marmottes restaurant! The Savoyard fondue was excellent, and the all-you-can-eat raclette was absolutely divine 😍 A must-visit for any self-respecting Marmotte 😁

09/07/2026: I made a reservation online, called several times without an answer, only to find out the restaurant is closed, even though it's listed as open on Google Maps. It's like playing Russian roulette. There's no information about the closure anywhere.

08/09/2026: I went for the first time in July, and again tonight. The pizzas are very good, the waitress (owner?) was very friendly, smiling, and easygoing. The terrace has a lovely, casual feel; a great experience.

20/09/2026: I tried the VIP area and was really disappointed. No player interaction. Almost no atmosphere. Okay, you get a cheap beer and a couple of other sodas. But nothing special. The view isn't even pleasant because of the railings right in front of the windows. You'd be better off watching matches in the stands, with the rest of the crowd, and also checking out the Roanne club. It's a completely different experience from the fan zone! A much more fun experience!

19/09/2026: It's always a real pleasure to come and watch the games at the Charlemagne Ice Rink! The atmosphere is truly pleasant and welcoming, with great energy in the stands. It's the perfect place to enjoy a good game and have a fantastic time. I highly recommend it! 🏒👏

26/06/2026: The welcome was disastrous: the waiter took your order and told you he'd already sold half the menu. As a result, only one salad and two main dishes were left. The food was good, but the welcome and service were appalling.

28/07/2026: Your döner meat was of high quality and delicious, I've never eaten such good döner meat.

12/06/2026: If you want a cold kebab with 20% kebab meat and 80% raw vegetables, go for it without hesitation. But otherwise, avoid it. (€18 for 2 kebabs alone)

28/09/2026: The manager is incredibly unpleasant and extremely arrogant. €9 for two supermarket apricot juices... the same price as a good homemade chai latte with a view of the docks! A real tourist trap, beware!

10/09/2026: Ordered a cappuccino, but it was basically just boiled milk with coffee and was not drinkable. I replaced it with an espresso, yet they still charged me the full price of the cappuccino. I wouldn’t recommend it.

13/04/2026: Magnificent space, I recommend it a thousand times over, even ten thousand times if not more. Everything is beautiful: the owners, the service, the food, the atmosphere, and it's only 2 minutes from the train station. Bravo to La Pause Gourmande! Zyad lives up to its name. 31/08/2026: I came to this street under construction this morning to go to this bakery, which already has a pretty bad reputation, just to buy a sandwich. First problem: zero friendliness upon entering. This doesn't bode well. Not a hello, not a word, neither from the woman nor the man behind the counter. I ordered a "small Italian," the small sandwich called "Italian." The man asked his colleague to give it to him (not easy, indeed, to reach out...), then nonchalantly came to ring me up. I then noticed that he had given me the large one: — Me: "Excuse me, sir, but I would like a small Italian, not a large one." — He sighed. — Me: "I ordered a 'small Italian,' sir." — "No, you ordered a regular one," he replied, sighing again, as if I were bothering him. — Me: "You'll get a little goodbye!" I left. Unheard of. He was sighing at my presence! I've never seen such an unpleasant employee, so clearly uninterested in their work, to the point of insisting on explaining to a customer that they were wrong when they weren't. If serving customers bothers you this much, you should change careers. In a bakery located on a street undergoing construction, with probably less foot traffic, you should be taking care of the customers who still walk through the door. You don't deserve my money, nor do you deserve my return. My family and friends who live in Lyon won't be setting foot in your establishment. Good luck improving your rating.
