15/03/2026: Great establishment and very good restaurant!

15/03/2026: A fantastic hotel in the centre of Val D’Isere with unmatched hospitality! I couldn’t recommend it enough, every detail was perfect, from the warm arrival to the check out. Things that stand out particularly are: 1. The spa is fantastic. Don’t miss the rooftop sauna which has views of the town, and the massage was great too. 2. The hotel restaurant is great. I don’t usually eat at hotel restaurants as I like to explore the area, but this one seemed so popular that we had to try. The raclette is so special, with as much cheese as you want and the best cheese there is! You can also try a raclette with 6 different cheeses, as well as lots of other local dishes. 3. Rooms are spacious and modern. 4. The reception staff was so kind at every possible moment. Special thanks to Ilan - We had a transport problem in the morning and he went above and beyond to help us find a solution. People at reception like him who really go so above and beyond for guests, when he didn’t need to as the problem was our own fault, are rare!

Stéphane welcomes you with his good humor, friendly and warm atmosphere, great music, good vibes, the best beer in the world 😉 and excellent infused rums! It's also a great spot for lunch: simple, homemade, and excellent value! And don't forget the weekday evenings... the mussels and fries night was just fantastic! See you soon!!

28/01/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An exceptional experience at Le Refuge in Solaise! An absolutely magical place with a splendid view and a warm, mountain atmosphere. The welcome is impeccable, the staff are friendly, attentive, and very professional. The dishes are delicious, generous, and perfectly prepared with high-quality ingredients. Everything comes together for a unique experience: a magnificent setting, flavorful cuisine, and a convivial atmosphere. A must-visit in Solaise; we will definitely be back!

19/02/2026: There are no WORDS the express the deliciousness of the pastries at this place. By far the best patisserie in the area. We had raspberry & pistachio tart and oh my god it was PERFECT. Staff is lovely, prices reasonable and very nice selection of teas. I had mariage frere’s rooibos tea and highly recommend it. Only downside was that we discovered it on the last day of the trip, truly wish we had gone there on the first day as I would love to visit it every day especially after ski!

08/02/2026: The place on the slopes that I visited most often for lunch. The food was delicious, the beer was at a good price. The problem is, there is a long wait to order and sometimes after you order there is no place to sit.

12/03/2026: We stopped there just for a coffee; the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, calm, and the beautiful scenery is what characterizes this place. The sunny terrace in the middle of the forest delighted us; we were comfortably seated and the atmosphere was fantastic.

09/03/2026: We had another fantastic meal this week. The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the steak Rossini was perfect. And speaking of tenderness, it was divine! 😄 And Eléa was a ray of sunshine! Welcoming, attentive, and helpful, she's simply wonderful!

09/03/2026: Lunch on March 5, 2026. Everything was great except for the most unpleasant waitress at the bar. A smile and friendliness were apparently optional, and I didn't get any. I was with my large family. I'll come back, but we certainly won't be ordering drinks.

18/02/2026: Superb, recently renovated mountain restaurant. Excellent food. The hot chocolate was incredibly comforting. Warm and inviting interior decor. Professional, friendly, and smiling staff. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it's not every day you get to have lunch or a drink at 2500m altitude, by a lake and surrounded by mountains. The building blends in quite well with nature, although obviously that's not necessarily what you'd expect to find in the wilderness—that's just my opinion. I highly recommend this restaurant.

07/01/2026: cute little spot we ate for lunch one day. They were fully booked but the hostess was able to accommodate our party w/ a short wait. Service was fantastic and the food equally fantastic. Pricing was very reasonable.

06/04/2025: First the negative things: I think the only negative in that I gets quite warm inside. Positive things: The raclette was really delicious,the charcuterie as well and the menu had many different options, including a child-menu. The staff was really lovely too. They also have a bar with a terrace upstairs, which uses the raclette cheese if unfinished!

23/03/2025: First time to have dinner here and we had the most wonderful, locally authentic meal. Onion soup and Pierrade au Boeuf, the meat was simply delicious. Service was excellent and friendly, atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.
