15/12/2025: Great restaurant for mountain specialties... You won't get lost in an endless menu. At first, used to getting half a wheel of cheese, I was a little worried about the portion size, but in the end, it was more than enough! Good charcuterie, delicious potatoes, and desserts that all seem homemade, right down to the gourmet coffee. The only slight drawback was the limited space, but then again, it's not easy to fit a table for 12! The staff were very pleasant, responsive, and attentive. Top-notch, thank you!

19/01/2026: The first stop on my birthday day was this lunch break, which was unfortunately very disappointing. I ordered foie gras to be served with the main courses, but this wasn't honored. Instead, I was served this ridiculous and disgusting slice that neither looked nor tasted like foie gras. Even the complimentary crisps were stale. I won't be back.

20/09/2024: What a disappointment we experienced this establishment a few years ago and nothing comparable. Everything has become very average: the service, the quality of the dishes, the price of the wines....As part of a gift (box at 150 euros) only 1 starter, 1 main course, 1 dessert imposed by the management ! We have never seen this and the icing on the cake we charge 1€ per person for parking without asking us if we came by car without forgetting the enormous management dog which wanders around the reception
Value for money far below the bill
17/09/2024: For my parents' wedding anniversary, we decided to celebrate this special moment at the Écu de France, and what a wonderful choice! The establishment exceeded all our expectations: the cuisine was exceptional, the discussions with the managers were warm, the service impeccable, without forgetting the enchanting setting which completely transported us. We had a fantastic time, and the dishes were able to delight all palates. A huge congratulations to the whole team!

Le Petit Caporal is a true neighborhood institution. It offers generous bistro fare and a very friendly atmosphere.
Whether you're coming from one side of the bridge or the other, it's the perfect meeting place for a great meal. Excellent service and a warm welcome.

25/01/2026: I celebrated my 40th birthday there this past Saturday, January 24th, and everything was fantastic: the meal, the service, the singer. The magician Adrien really impressed us, and DJ Vincent created a great atmosphere and did a great job announcing the birthdays. I highly recommend this place for unforgettable moments. Thank you all!
