22/09/2024: This is the second time we have tried this restaurant. We were disappointed with the value for money the first time. Seeing the rather glowing reviews, we tried again to celebrate our mother's birthday. What a disappointment! We paid €76 per person, aperitif, starter, main course, dessert and wine. At this price we expected to be surprised and happy. The €56 menu at this restaurant is really too expensive for the quality and quantity served. Lamb overcooked to my mother's liking, a small piece of free-range pork without meat, just fat for my brother. We had to ask to change it, and my monkfish, my piece was not very big. Concerning the starters, chanterelles and squid it was not spicy enough. The desserts, the pistachio soufflé was excellent, on the other hand for the profiteroles, only 2 unfortunate little choux buns with a choux pastry that was too dry, as if it was not of the day. The dishes and presentations were rather simple. Conclusion, only the exterior setting was pretty and the service correct although a little cold. For a menu at €56 we expect much better. We paid a lot of money and the meal was not up to par. We will definitely not return there again and we do not recommend. We can easily find better for less. Besides, for this price we ate in a 1-star restaurant in Mers les Bains. It was magical, a real journey for our taste buds and pure visuals.

21/09/2024: Overall disappointed. The setting is magnificent, the service is quality but the cuisine lacks seasonings, there are few on the plate and for a menu at 55 euros, we expect better in quality and proportion. I have eaten much better elsewhere for 30-35 euros per menu, which is what the menu at Coeur de la Forêt is worth, no more. The setting does not justify the price-quality imbalance of this restaurant.
