10/12/2024: Bon restaurant ! Belle décoration, carte en adéquation avec le lieu. Pas du gastro mais de la belle cuisine, des produits frais. La jeune serveuse qui s’occupait de nous était hyper sympathique et professionnelle. Nous avons partagé un foie gras puis nous sommes partis sur deux suprême, les deux étaient tout à fait réussis dans les goûts et le dressage. Prix correct.

02/11/2024: Séjour d'un nuit avec dîner jour 1 et petit déjeuner jour 2 : très bien . Formule buffet sale et sucre complet . Petit déjeuner très bien organisé.

19/12/2024: We had booked in this castle and the day before departure I looked at the comments with my partner and we were literally scared, never seen before!! So I decided to call and speak directly with the receptionist, to explain our fears, we didn't want to travel (2 hours' drive) and be disappointed like the others, especially with a young baby. And we did well, clearly the receptionist made her laugh, her response "I'll judge you for yourself" while laughing, she didn't talk on the phone, clearly "I don't care" I wasn't at all reassured on the contrary, big lack of professionalism and respect for others, she just confirmed the comments, no need to move to understand! To flee

For a first night in the castle to celebrate our wedding anniversary, it was great. Thank you again for your kindness and professionalism. To do again, I recommend 😄☺️👍

29/08/2024: Nous avons été déçus. La terrasse est jolie car en bord de Gartempe mais cela ne fait pas le tout. Déjà grande première : on vous fournit un menu plastifié avec stylo et vous devez indiquer dessus votre choix puis l'emmener au comptoir. Nous étions 7, nous avons attendu plus d'une heure pour avoir nos plats.. Pour le pain et le sel, il faut se servir au comptoir également. Pour le dessert, idem on écrit sur le menu son choix, sauf que certains desserts n'étaient pas dispos donc on recommence (il aurait fallu l'annoncer dès le départ). Vraiment surpris mais pas dans le bon sens. Les tables sont toutes petites, ce sont des tables de 2, heureusement qu'il y avait un enfant que nous avons pu mettre en bout de table. La pièce de viande était bonne mais petite, il vaudrait mieux mettre un peu plus cher et avoir la quantité et un service adéquat. Au final on est plus sur un fast food de plein air. Le côté positif le personnel est sympa

28/08/2024: Lovely little outdoor restaurant, has a quirky way about it and the short menu is nice, thoroughly recommend the salads, even as an entree are good sized!

04/09/2024: We stayed for a one night stopover, but would happily stay longer. The site is very quiet yet is only a short distance from the road and supermarket. Can walk into Civray through the park. The campsite restaurant is amazing and a step up from normal campsite food. The river is pretty and full of wildlife.

29/08/2024: Très bon restaurant avec un accueil au top Nous y avons été avec nos 2 petites filles et y retournerons sans hésiter L' endroit est agréable près des jeux pour enfants

26/09/2024: The food is simple but good, the steak was perfect, the fries were generous, all accompanied by a very honest glass of Bordeaux. I didn't like the interior setting but that remains a personal opinion. I recommend this roadside restaurant which remains decent with good value for money

29/08/2024: Very disappointing overall. In general, and compared to a first, older stay. Room on the extremely noisy street overlooking a very busy road (in particular a lot of trucks), and on top of that, during periods of high heat, absolutely stifling to the point of being downright unbearable (a small wheezy fan very insufficient to freshen it up a bit!). The icing on the cake: the toilet handle in the room was broken and didn't work. And all this for... 120 euros (without breakfast included), and with countless steps to climb to reach the room, moderately decorated and comfortable. Frankly, the old character of the building and its possible "stache" does not justify everything, and the welcome in these conditions gives the impression of making fun of the customer. To escape this noisy and unbreathable hell, we could possibly rent rooms on the garden side, but for around 200 euros.... Another disappointment: the breakfast, very ordinary and basic, much less satisfactory than during our first stay. a few years ago. The only positive point: the beautiful park and the beautiful swimming pool. Disappointment and indignation, therefore.
