Service a little long we waited 40 minutes to get our dish... but hey the situation in terms of service has a lot to do with it unfortunately

We came at 11:30 a.m., we asked if it would be possible to eat at their place knowing that we absolutely had to leave at 12:40 p.m. max.
We are told there is no problem.
But surprise, they don't take orders for dishes before 12 p.m.! So, we ask again if the timing will be good, once again we are answered positively. Result, we took our order at 12:05 p.m., and 12:20 p.m. still not served while other tables arriving after us were served at 12:02 p.m. (their order was therefore taken before 12 p.m.!)
Being with 2 young children (1 year old and 4 years old), eating in 10 minutes is complicated...
So I go to see the waiters to explain to them and they have the nerve to tell me that one day like that you have to go to McDonald's!
Above all, we should respect customers and be honest with them!
Of course, we left (to the McDonald’s by the way, thanks for the advice!).
I won't say see you soon, and don't count on me to advertise!

Very good cuisine! Congratulations because delicious. 👍! But a bit of a sad atmosphere and the same service, too bad.
03/04/2024: The map is nice. It offers a vegetarian dish: a wok of spring vegetables. Except that it’s far from being a wok, more like vegetable noodles! Too bad because I was already salivating before returning. The noodles were overcooked and so were the vegetables. On the other hand, my husband had the filston tartare and enjoyed it! I think you have to stick with the classics if you don't want to be disappointed. Otherwise nice setting and good welcome

And we did well: friendly and very quick welcome on the terrace: our 2 dogs were treated to a nice bowl of fresh water before our aperitif 🤣 the hamburger and the Thai Charolais tartare very good, impeccable service. Good value for money. And what interior decoration: it’s worth the detour alone! Top !

ambiance. Our dishes were delicious - we had the späetziflette and the trout. Their beer on tap is lovely and I’d also recommend “le petit cru vosgiens” and any of their desserts to finish off the meal.
04/05/2024: The Welsh dish was just a sprinkling of cheese. One dessert served way too hot, the other, dame blanche, full of chocolate paste.

I have a small caveat on the cooking of the meat. Cooking is not requested when ordering and the steaks are a little overcooked. Too bad because the meat seemed to me to be of good quality.
For the rest it's very good.
Good toppings, good bread and good beer.

We ate very, very well (special mention for the Vosges fondue), the desserts were also exquisite, in a warm setting, the decor is very nice, top service, smiling waiters and excellent dishes. We found a very attentive team, it is certain that when we come back to Gerardmer we will come back to see you :)
28/03/2024: Very well decorated and very pleasant restaurant, with a large terrace on the street. We had the lunch menu: perfect in terms of quantity and quality. That day, it was raw vegetable salad/chicken in cream and mustard with fries and green beans/chocolate mousse or apple pie.
Very friendly waitress.
I recommend.

01/05/2024: Came last year (summer 2023), everything was perfect. But since then there has been either a change of owner or a change of management... and today, May 1, 2024, a disaster from A to Z... sympathy from the server in terms of the dishes sold, that is to say zero!!! Cold fillet of beef, children's fish stuffed with bones, impossible to get fries for my mother-in-law (not enough staff for that) according to the waiter...
Titanic prices compared to the quality of what they bring us: 11 or 12 euros per slice of blueberry pie!!! If I'm not mistaken it makes a pie for 72 euros if it is cut into 6 so it has nice slices!!
In short, we who loved this place so much will not go back there again!!! A nice waste...
