15/04/2026: Quiet stay but uneven amenities (3/5) We had a very quiet and clean stay, which was much appreciated. However, several points need improvement: - The room and bedding: The room is spacious. While the bedding seemed comfortable the first day, we discovered a "bump" in the middle of the mattress and indentations on either side the very next day, suggesting it had been flipped just before our arrival. Furthermore, only one very flat pillow per person is insufficient. - The bathroom: Large but impractical. There is no hand shower (only a fixed rain shower head), and the shower lacks a fixed faucet for the bathtub. The absence of a shower screen or curtain floods the bathroom; a squeegee would be necessary to remove the water. Note: access is impossible with assistive devices (the door is too narrow). - Breakfast: Not very substantial in our opinion: half a baguette (small), a croissant, very little butter/jam, only one coffee, and an orange juice. Scrambled eggs are available upon request, but the rest is insufficient. Reception: Please note that there is no reception area to drop off luggage before arrival time, nor access to restrooms. In short, the hotel is quiet and clean, but the comfort of the bedding and the functionality of the amenities need improvement.

03/08/2026: Hello, our experience at this establishment today was particularly unpleasant. My in-laws ordered a rooster, which was very undercooked, to the point of being inedible: impossible to carve. Instead of apologizing or offering any compensation, the waitress decided to tell us that this was normal and to start a dispute. No high chairs were available. I do not recommend this establishment; disappointment guaranteed!

03/08/2026: The evening started well, as the staff did their best to seat us on the terrace despite the crowds—thank you for that! My parents ordered the rooster—you had to carve it yourself, but it was so tough that one of the two pieces was inedible. We immediately mentioned it to the waitress, but she explained that it was normal. We brought it up again at the end of the meal, but she showed no understanding whatsoever about the fact that the rooster was inedible. The rest of the meal was okay, but nothing extraordinary (tuna tataki with absolutely no Asian flavor shouldn't be called tataki at all...). In short, avoid it at all costs.

19/06/2026: Great hotel on the lake. Wonderful! Place to stay in the summer to have a swim and to walk the tour around the lake. The rooms are really nice. I will come back again someday.

13/07/2026: A wine list that will make your head spin. Philippe runs the service with a master's touch, always with the right words and thoughtful touches. Stunning cuisine in an exceptional setting. Savor every step of the meal: the amuse-bouches, the appetizers, the olive bread with its semi-salted butter, the cheese trolley with its almost creaking little wheels, and the main courses, starters, and desserts. You'll fall asleep sitting up, but you'll fall asleep with a smile. Big shout-out to the table under the giant chandelier. The table to be at. You feel like the King of England, but better because it's in France. One day I went in with a migraine and left cured—no exaggeration, I promise. Unforgettable moments.

13/06/2026: I was in the antique-style room. (There are several rooms in different styles.) The service was top-notch. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I was satisfied. Of course, this kind of dinner isn't suitable for every day, but for a special occasion it was wonderful.

02/06/2026: Even though the place could use a little updating, this aparthotel is ideally located, with a lovely view of the lake. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and very quiet. We would have preferred a shower instead of a bathtub. The breakfast delivered to the room was a great touch; it was perfect.

29/05/2026: First stay at the Lido, just one night with my dog, and it was very pleasant! Very clean, nice decor, and very comfortable bedding. 👌 The staff were also very friendly and accommodating because I made a mistake with my reservation. The restaurant was closed, so we were able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the beach in the evening and again in the morning when we woke up – pure bliss! Breakfast was fantastic! Having your carefully prepared little box delivered was a lovely touch; I appreciated being able to eat with that view (the oranges were delicious). The setting is really nice, and you also have access to the path around the lake. Thank you, and I look forward to coming back.

02/03/2026: A short stay at the Auberge du Saut des Cuves: simple but very clean accommodation, easily accessible and located in a quiet area, with a pleasant river below. Suitable for families, offering good value for money.

15/07/2026: The manager needs to learn how to speak to his server; it's a disgrace. He has whitened teeth, but his smile is so fake, like something out of a toothpaste commercial. P.S. There's a difference between speaking with authority and talking to the server like a dog. As for taking care of yourself, try dressing differently. You look like you've just come back from hunting, which isn't exactly professional for a manager who's supposed to set an example. 👍👍... Avoid at all costs!

26/06/2026: Functional rooms, with a lovely little balcony perfect for enjoying the cool evening air. The service was impeccable, and I want to thank Florent at reception who was truly professional and always available with a smile – it really deserves a mention! Plus, the hotel's location just steps from the lake is fantastic. We'll gladly return in a few weeks 😉

24/06/2026: For a 2-star hotel, it's basically quite good. Very clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast room wasn't ventilated during the intense heat. It was only opened a little after we asked. It was unbearable. There's a terrace, but only with tables – no chairs. A shame.

24/07/2026: The local produce was much appreciated. The (small) seeded bread was also great. The service was quick and efficient.

19/07/2026: Waited 45 minutes before ordering. We ordered drinks and the main courses arrived at the same time. Several mistakes were made when taking our order, and we returned multiple times. Avoid at all costs. The waiter was grumpy and sighed throughout the service.

31/05/2026: Childhood friends!!! A great place right in the center of Gerardmer and so peaceful!!! ❤️❤️❤️👌 The service is impeccable!!! The staff is lovely!!! The receptionists are very friendly!!!

30/10/2025: The decor and style don't exactly make you want to linger. Now that we've addressed that issue, we can move on. I had a fantastic raclette, but the service was really lacking in tact. They could do much better.

26/10/2025: Very good, very friendly restaurant. The soup is very good, as is the cheese and chips.

23/07/2026: Terrible service, slow even for an order, over 20 minutes wait. When you call, they say it's not me, it's my colleague. No one arrives after you, and I'm served much sooner. Over an hour's wait for two burgers. The waiter was unhelpful, didn't know his job, and when you ask for the bill, you have to go over to pay and are told you weren't informed and should have left without paying. He prefers to chat and joke with his colleagues. They refuse service because they don't open the inside. No information is given that holiday vouchers aren't accepted. In short, I'll never be back, even if I'm invited.

23/07/2026: There was a bit of a wait upon arrival while a table became available, but that's to be expected in the summer. We had a lovely time on the terrace overlooking the lake 😍 The staff were helpful and friendly, and the service was quick. Thank you for a pleasant evening!
