The rooms were simple and clean.
It was perfect for a group of 27 people!

06/03/2026: The table was adequate, but the dishes lacked elegance, particularly the scallops served with a horribly acidic grapefruit sauce that completely ruined the scallop. The portions were also far too large, and the enjoyment of the meal declined after the fourth course. The service, however, was very well executed.
16/02/2026: Excellent meal in a magnificent setting; congratulations to the kitchen and to Philippe, who does an exceptional job in the dining room.

26/02/2026: A comment unrelated to the hostel's operations: My wife brought my daughter in for an urgent need to use the restroom. The woman there gave my wife a very cold reception and refused to let my daughter go ("if everyone does that, we'll never get anywhere").
While I can understand this for an adult, it's much less acceptable for a 4-year-old. I don't know what the hostel is like, but this was enough for me.

Everything was perfect.
The welcome, the service...
The little coffee by the fireplace.
It goes without saying that we will return when the weather is warmer.

Now that we've addressed that issue, we can move on.
I had a fantastic raclette, but the service was really lacking in tact.
They could do much better.

10/12/2024: Nice little restaurant, unfortunately if you don't have a reservation or are not part of the hotel we place you in the breakfast room..
we ate well, nothing extraordinary but overall it was good.
09/12/2024: Certainly the location is good but restaurant-wise it's the worst restaurant I've been in so far, a terrible atmosphere, we're spoken badly to, no respect to be honest. I had a very bad experience and will not go back there again.

07/03/2026: We had a wonderful meal sharing a fondue. The craft beer is excellent; we bought some from the shop located within the restaurant.
We also enjoyed a small but very pleasant country-rock concert. I highly recommend this place.
17/02/2026: The restaurant had a decent welcome. However, the wait to be served was far too long. The frozen fries weren't very good. The dishes are still relatively expensive, even if they are acceptable.

08/02/2026: We arrived at 4:10 PM and sat at a table in front of the bar. Thirty-five minutes later, there was still no one to take our order. I understand it was busy, but several tables that arrived after us were served before us. So, I'd say it was either a poor welcome or poor service management, especially since the waiters still had time to be grumpy.

06/03/2026: Enjoy a crepe, coffee, and ice cream on the terrace. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. The crepes are delicious, the fillings generous, and the coffee is good. What more could you ask for?

I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enhance their stay in Gérardmer.
