15/08/2026: Definitely a reservation is necessary because it's a real treat for the taste buds. The tasting menu, with several courses, was served brilliantly by a knowledgeable young chef.
Congratulations to my vegan friends and to me, a flexitarian!

03/09/2026: This was our second stay at this lovely hotel. We were once again warmly welcomed, the room was charming and spotlessly clean, with a lake view and a small terrace. The breakfast buffet was superb, and we will definitely return.
02/09/2026: A simple but well-laid-out, clean, and well-located restaurant. Excellent daily menu and very affordable prices. Very welcoming staff. Reservations recommended (which we made), as the restaurant was full.
A must-try, just steps from the lake.

02/09/2026: Too long a wait. Arrived at 12:00 PM, served at 1:30 PM. Tables that arrived before us were served very quickly. The waiter knew the customers. We come every time we visit Gérardmer, but we were very disappointed.
01/09/2026: A very good experience at this restaurant. The welcome was warm, the food was excellent, and it was quite busy, so it's advisable to book in advance, which confirms the high quality of this establishment.
Thank you for the meal, and I recommend this restaurant if you're in Gérardmer. 👍

Lovely terrace.
Affordable beer with peanuts (basic beer, admittedly, but still the cheapest half-pint in Gérardmer), well done!
Plus, there was a concert!
23/08/2026: Nonexistent welcome, cold and amateurish service, poor quality and badly made drinks: the iced caffe latte was drowned in milk (we had to explain to the waitress how to make one) and the matcha latte was drowned in sweetened milk (we had asked for it unsweetened) and of poor quality.
Go for the shop if you want, but not for a drink.
PS: The owner's responses are appalling, worthy of a 4-year-old who hasn't yet grasped the concept of self-reflection – if you're not open to criticism, close down!

14/08/2026: An excellent restaurant in Gérardmer. We went there as a family to end our wonderful week in the Vosges mountains and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, children included. The setting is welcoming, the service is excellent, and the presentation of the dishes is impeccable. In short, we were delighted!

24/05/2026: My nose was bleeding and the lady at the hostel treated me extremely well because I wasn't staying at the hostel, I was out cycling!
22/04/2026: The beds are as sturdy as modeling clay (my friend Peter Pan's bed collapsed). The first minute he tried to put it back up, but he twisted his wrist. The food is disastrous, plus the portions are about the size of a rabbit's. 🐇🥕🐰

14/09/2026: We had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, the meal was delicious, and we particularly appreciated the lovely decor, which adds a lot of charm to the restaurant.
Our only slight reservation concerned the raclette: the potatoes seemed a little too firm and perhaps not quite right for raclette. It's a shame, because with soft, melt-in-your-mouth potatoes, the experience would have been perfect!
Nevertheless, it's still a very good place, and we had a lovely time.

The dish was served very quickly.
The restaurant has a lovely setting.
We loved the wild garlic and tomme cheese gratin and the fries.
I recommend it.

22/08/2026: A beautiful, historic restaurant in the heart of Gérardmer.
A very large dining room with lovely, tasteful rustic decor, featuring portraits of film stars who have dined there on the walls.
For our meal, we ordered half a dozen snails with maître d'hôtel butter. They were piping hot and delicious, served with a basket of fresh bread. We then had a butcher's cut with shallot sauce, which was very flavorful and tender, served with a side of fries. We also had lamb chops with parsley butter, and for dessert, a strawberry cake with fir leaves.
The service was impeccable; the waiters were friendly and professional. A very good restaurant, as was the lamb chop.

Philippe runs the service with a master's touch, always with the right words and thoughtful touches.
Stunning cuisine in an exceptional setting. Savor every step of the meal: the amuse-bouches, the appetizers, the olive bread with its semi-salted butter, the cheese trolley with its almost creaking little wheels, and the main courses, starters, and desserts. You'll fall asleep sitting up, but you'll fall asleep with a smile.
Big shout-out to the table under the giant chandelier.
The table to be at. You feel like the King of England, but better because it's in France.
One day I went in with a migraine and left cured—no exaggeration, I promise.
