20/09/2026: We went for dinner and enjoyed everything from the ravioli to the spring rolls to the chicken and rice to the pork and rice. The waitresses were super welcoming. The place was beautiful. I lived in Dalian for a year, and the waitress was actually from Dalian. Coincidences that make the experience even more enjoyable, I hope. Excellent food, I would return.

I had a wonderful birthday 🎂, and the staff, waitresses, and waiters were absolutely amazing 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. We were even able to take home doggy bags because their portions are so generous and delicious 😋😋. A real treat 👍🏼. The waitresses were very Kind, professional, attentive, and always smiling 😇🤗 Absolutely amazing 🤗 I can't wait to go back, and my friends are planning to return too. 27/07/2026: We had an absolutely exceptional culinary experience (July 19, 2026). Each dish was a true journey, with unique, perfectly balanced, and exquisitely refined flavors. The quality of the ingredients, as well as the expertise and passion of Chef René (who runs the kitchen single-handedly), were immediately apparent. Jessica's welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the ambiance refined, making the experience even more enjoyable. Without hesitation, this is the best restaurant we have discovered to date. Umami is a must-visit, one we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will return with the greatest pleasure. Bravo and thank you to Jessica and René for this magnificent experience.

09/09/2026: Vibes are amazing, right by the beach. Styling is wonderful, very relaxing however the food was lacking. Too much going on, quality of ingredients not the best especially steak and my fish was severly undercooked. Best of all was desserts tbh...

26/09/2026: One of our French colleagues knows this restaurant well and recommended it. We had a group of 7, a typical French cafe with seating outside and in, some strange going on to access the toilets, you enter what is meant to represent an aviary, with birds tweeting. The food took a little while to come out, but this is no fast food restaurant. Everyone enjoyed their food if the clean plates were anything to go by. Prices were very reasonable would certainly go back. Having been back can honestly say still enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the setting and the place as a whole. Having been here a number of times, the food has always been of the highest quality and the service always spot on.

There were about thirty of us, and everything was perfect: a superb setting, delicious cocktails, and a lovely, warm, and attentive team, especially with the cake and decorations. Special mention to the DJ who created a fantastic atmosphere and got everyone dancing! A successful evening from start to finish. Thank you to the whole team! I highly recommend it!

01/10/2026: A disappointing experience and unjustified value for money. Dinner at Café de Mars this evening was unfortunately far below our expectations. The rather limited menu offers dishes whose quality of ingredients is questionable. Furthermore, paying 30 euros for half a liter of house wine seemed frankly excessive for this type of establishment. As for the service, a mix-up in the kitchen resulted in us being served an egg and bacon waffle as a starter, which was not what we ordered. Unfortunately, the dish arrived cold. The two main courses that followed were acceptable, but they in no way justified the final bill. Ultimately, for this price range, Paris is full of excellent restaurants offering a more refined setting and much more authentic cuisine. It's a shame, but this is a place we won't be returning to.

28/09/2026: A very pleasant surprise. The cuisine, inspired by Indian and Middle Eastern flavors, is simple in appearance, but incredibly sophisticated in its flavors and balance. I particularly enjoyed the bread, freshly baked directly in the oven: very lightly salted, warm, soft, and excellent with the meat, never overpowering its taste. I ordered the beef with salad: a perfect lunch dish, light yet satisfying. Even the salad was exceptionally well-prepared, perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of freshness and crunch. What really made me want to explore further was the chef's use of spices and aromas—cardamom, rose, orange blossom… You can sense a real artistic vision, but without ever going overboard. So I tried the semolina cake with its pistachio cream, and once again, a very pleasant surprise: the cake served warm, the cream cold, dense, and slightly tangy; sweetness against acidity, softness against creaminess… So many contrasts, but perfectly coordinated. That's exactly what I love about cooking: something that seems simple at first glance, but reveals so much more with each bite. Bravo!

21/09/2026: The perfect start to my Paris trip! On my first day in Paris, after visiting the Arc de Triomphe and relaxing at a café, I randomly found this wonderful place online. The server (possibly the owner) was outstanding. Even though they didn't have an English menu, he kindly translated and explained every dish for us. The food was top-notch: warm, freshly baked homemade naan, a light and tasty salad, refreshing Greek yogurt sauce, and perfectly seasoned meat or vegetables. The portions and flavors were spot on. The chorizo naan was especially delicious! The restaurant itself has a charming, artistic vibe. I only wish there were more places like this. Highly recommended!
