12/08/2026: We had mixed feelings about the meal: some parts were excellent, but the rest was very average. The signature dish (spit-roasted ham) was barely lukewarm, and we weren't offered the "all-you-can-eat" option.
We also felt it was a shame that, as locals who will return from time to time, we were treated much worse than foreign tourists (who will probably never come back).
This wasn't our first time at Brendelstub, and we had never been disappointed... until this time.
11/08/2026: Thank you! The dishes were creative and absolutely delicious – true culinary masterpieces! Thank you also for your thoughtful consideration and attention to food intolerances due to medical reasons. We were also impressed by the very friendly and competent service team! A glimpse into the kitchen revealed a harmonious team at work, skillfully and lovingly creating fresh dishes. You could feel their respectful dedication to the fresh ingredients, prepared with dignity and humility – here, cooking is truly done with love, the dishes are presented with artistry, and the friendly staff carries them to the table. A well-coordinated team, both kitchen and service – they deserve recognition as well!

12/08/2026: A lovely spot tucked away from the main street and nice and cool. Very pleasant in this heat. The staff were responsive and friendly. We had a very good meal. The portions were tasty and generous. The burger was amazing. Shaped like a hot dog but with a pretzel bun. A place to remember.
08/08/2026: A terrible experience. The food was awful—tasteless and bland—but the worst part was the service. Every time you asked the waiter for something, he gave you a dirty look and complained. It was awful; I hope I never have to go back.

23/08/2026: A simple, small, and charming restaurant with a few Alsatian specialties, located a bit off the main road in a side street – therefore a bit quieter. You can sit inside or outside in a pleasant atmosphere. Don't expect haute cuisine, but we enjoyed our meal quite well, and the service was friendly.

27/08/2026: We came here for sauerkraut and we weren't disappointed; it was very well served, delicious, and plentiful.
The dessert, a blueberry tart, was excellent.
The staff is very pleasant, smiling, and very professional. We will definitely come back here on our next trip to Alsace.

21/08/2026: Family of four, we had lunch at this place. It was nice to be out of the crowded main street and still enjoy sitting outside. We enjoyed our lunch and the service was good. The apple pie was amazing. Our daughter had the kid's meal and she loved the presentation.

01/09/2024: Vandaag gegeten in dit kelderrestaurant in Riquewihr. De sfeer is een beetje apart maar wel leuk. Bediening is aardig en attent. De sfeer is zeer ongedwongen. Één van de personeelsleden loopt in korte broek. Hier kan dit!
De kaart bevat voornamelijk gerechten met een lokaal en traditioneel karakter. Zelf kozen we voor een 3 gangen menu van € 24,- pp. de eerste gang bestond uit een traditionele quiche en een uientaart. Beide gerechten waren prima. Als hoofdgerecht kozen we voor de aardappelgratin met Münster en spekjes en Schweizenacken met lauwwarme aardappelsalade. In beide gevallen geen verfijnde gerechten of opmaak, gewoon lekker traditioneel eten.
Het dessert was 2 bolletjes ijs.
Samenvattend, we hebben hier genoten van traditionele gerechten zonder veel poespas. Prijs/kwaliteits verhouding wat mij betreft in orde.

08/09/2024: What a fabulous meal! We loved every course. Came for a relaxing Sunday lunch and had high hopes for the food but it far exceeded our expectations. Each course was full of favor (including umami), texture and visual appeal. Remarkable food. Clear from the components and flavor how talented the chef is. The chef was very kind, approachable and accommodating. He explained each dish in some detail.
The chef’s wife recommended the perfect bottle to accompany the meal. The wine list is carefully curated and we had a wine from the town; perfect with the food.
The restaurant is very interesting in terms of decor. Fits the cuisine- very artistic, novel, fascinating.
Thrilled to have had the opportunity to dine here.

08/12/2024: En visite en plein marché de Noël, nous nous arrêtons dans ce restaurant perché sur les hauteurs de Riquewihr. De l’entrée au dessert, ce fut excellent… un accueil dès plus agréable, et la compagnie de Gaya à notre table a été le petit plus… merci à vous et joyeuses fêtes
