07/09/2024: Exceptional evening! We didn't know where to eat, Françoise the owner more or less called out to us and what luck! We had a charcuterie board for two, then a beef rib's and a fish soup. We had a blast! Corsican music in the background... It was great PS: so far this is the only restaurant where we ate real Corsican charcuterie... Thank you for your welcome

06/09/2024: At first glance, the restaurant makes a nice impression with a rustic vault inside, although this has not been confirmed. The service left a lot to be desired, you had to ask for both cutlery and water glasses. There are no tablecloths or sets. The quality of the cuisine was also very mediocre. I had a menu for €25, which included a thin slice of wild boar terrine with a hard and dried sprig of fennel and hard bread, then two thin slices of roast veal with a spoonful of potato casserole and fig sauce. Apparently everything was pre-cooked. At the end there were three approximately 5 mm thin and 5 cm large slices of a cake drowned in instant vanilla sauce, which was supposed to be chestnut cake, which, however, was not understandable. My wife only ordered chestnut soup, which was OK, but she no longer wanted another course. The soup, consisting of a rather small plate with some bread, cost €15. The crowning glory was a liqueur, which was charged at an outrageous €10. Not recommended.

03/09/2024: Group of 10 people (6 adults and 4 children) welcomed on the evening of August 15 without reservation. Well done. Prices are correct for Calvi (Or Corsica). Well placed with a view of the CALVI citadel. The plates are of good capacity (even if I doubt the kilo of mussels) and the dishes are good. The copious children's menu and its reasonable price. The servers were excellent, friendly and smiling. I advise.

13/08/2024: Abbiamo preso 2 cocktail cap d’orse uno bianco e uno rosso. Annacquati entrambi, sapevano solo di acqua. Secondo me già preparati in caraffa con ghiaccio. Meglio birra e vino . Cocktail sono un’altra cosa….

29/09/2024: Breakfast disappointment and unpleasant service We were disappointed by our experience at the L'Escale restaurant during a breakfast with a group of five people. At 13 euros per person, breakfast includes a hot drink, orange juice, yogurt, half a baguette with butter and two jams, as well as a pastry. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. As soon as we arrived, the waitress was not the most pleasant. We had to wait a long time for our pastries, and when we asked where they were, the answer was curt: "I told you I put them in the oven." It was not the kind of attentive, friendly service you would expect, especially for a convivial occasion like breakfast. What surprised us the most was to learn that the pastries were frozen, while the bread came directly from the baker. We politely expressed our preference for fresh pastries, but the waitress said they were better frozen. At no time did she take our opinion into account, remaining cold and unpleasant throughout the exchange. In summary, the value for money does not justify the experience, especially in the face of such unwelcoming service. One positive point: the fresh bread was good, but the attitude of the staff and the frozen pastries tarnished our stay. Move on and go a little further because the prices are more attractive and the welcome is much more pleasant.

27/09/2024: I had breakfast and must say the experience was disappointing. The chocolatines were frozen, which really ruined our meal. When we mentioned this to the waitress, her response was less than professional. She even told us that she preferred frozen chocolatines rather than those from the bakery. This attitude left us perplexed and certainly did not help to improve the atmosphere. I don't recommend this place if you're looking for a good breakfast.

10/08/2024: The place is very pleasant (magnificent view from the terrace over the bay of St Florent). Very responsive and efficient service. Food, on the other hand, a little disappointing: preserved mushrooms/not fresh, and products of average quality (for a pizza at €14). We expected a little more quality and local.

04/08/2024: The pizzeria ristorante on the church square in Olettta. Hearty and tasty meals at reasonable prices. You can make a stop without worries

24/08/2024: When you arrive and look at it, it immediately makes your mouth water to discover local and family cuisine...but after the presentation and the choice you must quickly realize that there is only a quarter of the choice available at 8:30 p.m.... Same for the aperitifs where you even have to go get the water for the Ricard... choice of dishes to make, you still have to modify because no more pizza or suggestions of the day... The dishes in front of you continue in disappointment... fat level you are not disappointed because on the ribes you only have to look for it to be edible and as a bonus burn, the veal cannelloni are not without it either.. .. You don't blame me but personally green salad and fried potatoes at 27e because just that's edible I find it a little expensive... I'm skipping the desert... even though I was sold the merits of this establishment, something must surely have happened which made.... Fortunately there was a musical group on the square that evening to make us think of something else

23/08/2024: Prenotato in questo posto dall'ottima vista a Bastia per pranzo. Camerieri gentili e disponibili. Ovviamente non bisogna fare i classici Italiani all'estero che ricercano la cucina di casa. I taglieri di antipasti corsi erano ottimi. Il pesce freschissimo e ben cucinato. Il conto direi giusto per cosa abbiamo mangiato e preso. Assolutamente consigliato

03/09/2024: We stopped randomly before getting back on the boat. We were not disappointed the restaurant and very clean, the decor sober but superb, the sanitary facilities are large and clean and the hamburgers very good, we had paninis for the evening, they were very good even after 7:00 in a bag. We will return there if we take the boat back to the Rousse Island
