31/05/2026: It's very surprising; this restaurant isn't answering the phone. I tried to place an order on Sunday, May 17th, and again today, but no one is answering. There's no information about any closures on their website, whether temporary or otherwise. It's difficult to rely on this restaurant, at least not on Sundays, especially these days.

04/05/2026: We got a take-away of croissants and viennoiseries for a quick breakfast paired with espresso in our hotel room. The chausson aux pommes was amazing (so flakey, buttery, great apple flavor) so it gets 5⭐️s). The croissant and pain au chocolate were 3⭐️s, because it felt dough-y. Thankful to have a nice boulangerie open early on a Monday! Psst…as a visitor we found it a bargain to buy these for ~6€ total. 😉

09/04/2026: A very pleasant surprise at this restaurant. The menu has a small selection of dishes, but everything is homemade and absolutely delicious! Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Definitely worth a try!

08/04/2026: The food is okay, a bit pricey for what it is, but still good even with a wide selection. The problem is that half the self-service kiosks aren't working, and on the ones that do, it's impossible to print a receipt, and on one, you can't pay by card. Fortunately, the staff are responsive and answer requests for receipts. The wait isn't long either.

07/04/2026: Waiting almost an hour for two cold waffles. Many people arrived after us and were served much earlier, and the waitress didn't seem to be in any hurry at all… Go there if you have time to waste and your palate isn't too refined.

28/04/2026: Disastrous experience. We ordered click and collect from their website, and as regular customers, we're used to eating Domino's Pizza. The order was ready quickly, but when we arrived, they barely spoke to us and didn't even tell us the price of the pizzas. Furthermore, we ordered pizzas with a classic crust, but we received a thin crust, even though we specifically requested it. Then, the man at the counter charged us the wrong price, €21.79, instead asking for €29.71. In short, we weren't given napkins, and as for the pizza, the sauce had already spilled everywhere before we'd even touched it.

09/05/2026: Good restaurant, it's true there's much less choice than in large all-you-can-eat buffets, but it's not the same quality. The bobuns and spring rolls are very good, the egg rolls are excellent and not greasy, the soup is a real treat. A wide selection of sushi. A varied choice of hot dishes. We booked online.

02/05/2026: Excellent place. We discovered this establishment by chance and we weren't disappointed. It's run by two passionate people who offer homemade dishes paired with wine. If we're ever back in Tours, we'll definitely return.

03/05/2026: We didn’t have a reservation on a rainy Sunday and were given the option of 3 different 2-top tables on the ground floor. Those who had a reservation were seated on the floor above. We ordered an entree+plat combo. Squid salad + faux filet de bœuf and the velouté carrote + truffled tagliatelles with foie gras and prosciutto. We also sampled the only by-the-glass red from Val de Loire on the menu. 1- dishes are artfully presented; 2-meats and foie gras are cooked to perfection ; 3- value for price paid (on the low side); 4- service was a mix of kind & hospitable (woman) and proud & discriminating (man); 5-building and dining room had so much character. It was a lovely first meal in Tours!

08/03/2026: Good value for money. Only one downside: the person who took our payment (the one who cooks? In any case, not the one who served us) wasn't very friendly. Of course, I told her we were giving up on coffee, that we'd waited 20 minutes without it arriving, even though the restaurant was far from crowded. There was only one person in the dining room, and one in the kitchen/dining area, apparently, but I imagine that's enough for about fifteen customers. Sorry we didn't wait any longer, but we have better things to do than wait for coffee, and no "excuse us" either from this person who, to top it off, frowned because my card didn't work the first time (I took it out too soon, it's my fault, but not a big deal). I'm therefore a bit disappointed by this attitude; it doesn't make me want to return to this restaurant, even though the galettes are quite good. The service was slow, but the waitress was practically alone for about fifteen diners.

19/01/2026: This is an informed review following a disastrous experience at this "brasserie." The restaurant boasts a pleasant setting and an attractive storefront, but that's where its appeal ends. The menu offered few dishes, which often suggests homemade cuisine, so we were initially confident. We ordered three appetizers: a kidney puff pastry, a spinach and goat cheese tart, and a country terrine. Our main courses were three duck breasts with orange sauce (an extra €3) and sliced ​​beef with pepper sauce. We also ordered a floating island dessert, a San Pellegrino, and two glasses of St. Nicolas de Bourgueil. The result: a rather spicy puff pastry, a relatively greasy terrine, and a tart replaced by a quiche Lorraine (which was also very salty). We mentioned this, and were told that the chef hadn't informed us. Next up: the duck breast was sinewy and quite tough (a sign of poor quality), roughly sliced ​​lengthwise, and the orange sauce was nonexistent; instead, there was a jar of some kind of stock with leftover shreds of meat to which small pieces of orange had been added. And the side dish was something I'd never seen before: potatoes, lentils, and carrots. A complete mismatch. As for the sliced ​​beef, our daughter ate absolutely nothing, just the salad. The beef was overcooked (resembling boiled meat), and there was no pepper sauce as promised. Faced with this litany of errors, we put an end to the carnage and cancelled dessert. Finally, they don't accept Connect holiday vouchers, only the paper version. The bill came to €95.70. Change the chef or call in Philippe Etchebest… when there’s nobody in a restaurant, you have to ask yourself some questions… (the bistro was taken over under a lease agreement in January 2025, from what I’ve seen)
