06/04/2024: Safe bet, undoubtedly the best eel restaurant I know in Paris. Rare restaurant where the quality of the food reminds me of Japan. The staff has been the same for years, I see that as a sign of quality. Japanese ceremonial and aesthetics are not lacking. The only downside, formerly frequented by a mainly Japanese and discreet population, the last two times, unembarrassed customers occupied the entire sound volume of the place (on uninteresting subjects) without the staff being able to do much about it. I obviously would not make the affront of presenting it as an alternative to sushi/sashimi, I highly recommend it to those who want to experience a little taste journey. My guests, surprised the first time at the mention of eel, systematically ask me to return.

04/04/2024: Very tasty unagi set. Eel was cooked to perfection. Special sauce rich and flavourful. Side dishes are very light to help cleansing palate after few bites of fatty eel and rice with the rich sauce. It’s my second time there and I’ll visit again when I’m in Paris. Reservation is a must as it gets fully booked most of the time.

09/06/2024: Takara remains an institution even if the cuisine is slightly less qualitative than before. We can no longer order after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday evening..... The prices have become too expensive.

06/02/2024: Very cute place with friendly staff. The flavour of the matcha latte was nice but rather sweet. I’d come back here if I have a suger and matcha craving. Also a very nice collection of japanese kitchenware(plates,bowls, etc)

It's not very delicious, but it would be nice to come here if you're craving udon soup on a rainy day (that's today for me) I had tofu udon, shrimp tempura rice bowl, and tsukemono. Shichimi is provided as standard. Pay at the cash register using the receipt you received when receiving your food.

29/05/2024: A restaurant that is too overrated in my opinion. The udons are pretty average good. The curry sauce has the aftertaste of curry powder, it is not uniform enough. In addition, the curry soup is not creamy enough. The slices of beef given are too little for the price. Udons like this are ok but you don't feel the soft firm side. The karaage are a little too salty for my taste. The restaurant is very popular, don't expect impeccable clean toilets: it's passable. The staff is ok. Quality ratio level: fairly average low.

05/05/2024: A must-see Japanese bakery/pastry shop in Paris. Pastries made from bean paste are a treat for fans. Lots of choice and creativity.

12/06/2024: Mixed experience. The staff was rude when I asked for halal certification 😅. Sighs, insistent looks and remarks like “we should trust a little”. However, certification is there for that, otherwise everyone could claim that their chicken is halal, especially when they mainly offer pork. It is therefore normal that I inquire. 🙂 As for the dish, it was curry rice, good overall. Sorry for the low rating, but this interaction ruined my experience. Next time, treat your customers better. Paris is not a Muslim city, it is normal to ask questions.

06/06/2024: Very good and quality food, however be careful of people who eat halal!! They tell us that it is halal and when we ask them for a certificate they are not happy and we have difficulty showing it... some doubts on this point.

23/05/2024: The dishes are very good although they are a little expensive. However what is a little surprising are the waiters, they pretend/have to?? to speak with a Japanese accent. I noticed this during an exchange between them, they spoke French fluently without an ounce of Japanese accent. A somewhat strange situation, and quite delicate..

06/04/2024: This is one of the just try food in Paris which the fish broth ramen is rarely found in anywhere. Please bear in mind that the queue is very long but they have a proper queueing apps so please queue one hour ahead using the QR. Do not go there when it’s almost close because you will end with disappointment

06/04/2024: It was too good. The atmosphere is really cool, friendly and immersive. If you like Japan and ramen, go there with your eyes closed.
