25/09/2024: Arriving on a Friday evening after a long drive, we were delighted with our visit to this restaurant. We were able to taste typical products of the region. Simple but very well executed dishes (grilled Morteau sausage, delicious cheese-stuffed potato, incredible red cabbage, fresh pasta with bleu de Gex). Warm welcome despite the fact that we did not book! The wood fired pizzas also looked excellent.

08/09/2024: Very pleasant place, well received by smiling staff. Excellent cuisine, the Francomptoise pizza, with a morel base, is as hearty as it is delicious.😛 Good value for money 👍 I recommend

14/09/2024: Cold fries as with every order... other McDonald's manage to serve piping hot fries... with every order here in Champagnole, the fries are really cold! Laces requested with points, not received in bag. 3 sauces with the 2 bags of nuggets + 1 sauce purchased creamy deluxe which makes 4 sauces in total, only 2 sauces in the bag. I never check click & collect bags and one in two times there are errors.

13/07/2024: Comme nous devions aller visiter le fort des Rousses, nous nous sommes arrêté au premier restaurant en entrant aux Rousses. Très bon accueil, serveur ultra sympathique et aux petits soins. Si la carte est classique, c'est très bien cuisiné. Copieuses salades de chèvres, très bon saumon en papillote. Moi qui ne prends normalement plus de steak de bœuf au restaurant, car de plus en plus souvent mal découpé, j'ai eu la bonne surprise d'avoir un filet de bœuf très tendre (j'ai réussi à couper la viande le couteau à l'envers). Et j'ai eu droit à un dessert "sur mesure". Donc rien à redire. Merci

16/08/2024: Thank you for being open on August 15th. But... Long service for only 3 tables to serve. Hamburger for €16 with too dry morbier. First time I haven't been asked to cook meat to order. The view is great, certainly but disappointed.

17/09/2024: Family meal on a Sunday lunchtime. Good French cuisine, nothing to complain about. Good advice for wines. The servers are pleasant, smiling and competent. On the other hand, the boss...or service manager has a particular sense of humor...especially during the welcome. Sitting at the end of the bar with his mess of tables, you have to move towards him to give your name....I thought he was waiting for the dirty dishes to do them....he tried to joke during the service but too bad his humor was not appreciated

11/08/2024: Passing through Saint Claude, terminus of the Ligne des Hirondelles, the Bar Central offers a simple menu but with good, well-cooked products. The boss received us very well. We stopped for a drink and stayed for lunch. Andouillette and escalope excellent with their sauces. Don't hesitate to open the door.

01/07/2024: Ahlala what to say? Hold on because it might hurt 😊 My dad and I get off the train to visit Saint Claude, we realize that the town hall is closed, which is shameful for a Tuesday and especially in the summer, but let's move on. We look for a nearby restaurant on our phone GPS, because there's not much time and it's already 1 p.m. We are on the sidewalk of the central bar, and there we are almost attacked by a very UNPLEASANT gentleman, the boss I think, who blames us for being on our phone. I quote his sentence: “this is what people in 2024 are doing, on the phone instead of asking” But what's wrong? There is a way of speaking, of saying things. We didn't even have time to place one, as he was still chaining us up. My dad tried to explain to him that we had just gotten off the train and that it was the first time we had been here but he didn't want to know. In the end we found much better from the competition, and above all we were respected 😊 Relationally, you are not in a good place at all. I don't recommend it at all, we quickly understood who we were dealing with.

21/09/2024: Very large, warm hotel, very good service, a warm welcome. The rooms are clean. There is a restaurant, gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and hammam. I really recommend. The hotel is well located.

12/09/2024: Even though we were neither hotel guests nor had a reservation, we were given a table for two. The staff is friendly and helpful, even if you don't speak French very well. We were very enthusiastic about the food. Great French cuisine, beautifully prepared and very tasty.

16/09/2024: Accueil fort agréable, commande une galette au beurre salé : quelle déception !!! Une galette pas cuite , on dirait un porridge étalé sur une plaque : impossible de manger avec une fourchette !!! Je fais gentiment la remarque et pour réponse :il fallait préciser la cuisson .. À la terrasse , une cliente me dit je n’en prends plus car elle ne sont pas assez cuite !! Donc les clients sont pas comme l’on dit les rois !!! Dommage car belle boutique de produits régionaux. Fuyez cette maison , ainsi que sa propriétaire.

08/09/2024: Endroit très accueillant,propre ..Mais propriétaire très désagréable !!! J’ai pris une galette (Sarrazin) beurre salé, pas cuite du tout , une bouillie étalée et chauffée, le beurre a du être oublié !! Au fait la remarque assez gentiment : j’ai tord les galettes se servent pas cuites sinon ,il faut le demander !!Nouveaute !! Et Mme le prend de haut et même à la terrasse une dame m’a confirmé qu’elle n’en prenait plus car pas cuite … Fuyez cet endroit

05/08/2024: Il n’est pas nécessaire de porter des lunettes pour voir les mouches sur votre assiette. En revanche il vaut mieux avoir une calculette car je n’ai pas compris l’intérêt de prendre un volume important. Verre 15cl 4,40 Pichet 25cl 9,90 Pichet 50cl 19,90 . Généralement le prix relatif décroît... Salade pour une pause avant de retourner étudier les lunettes et les machines.

30/08/2024: The price of bugnes 😱. I got 7 bugnes for €15!!! Certainly they are good but the price is very expensive and not indicated. Surprise at the checkout. And what's more, the next day they were dry. Never again. To respond to your comment, my opinion is correct, no mistake. It was in February.

10/09/2024: Campsite located at the foot of the Hérisson waterfalls, so there is a lot of noise from the arrival of day visitors to the site in the car park next to the campsite... The waterfall house must be paid for if you do not have tickets. parking (being residents of the campsite does not entitle you to the visit!!!!) People visiting the campsite no longer have the camper spirit: a lot of noise, little respect for the campers, the toilets and the work of the staff. At least a 50% presence of motorhomes... and the people who use the equipped tents are noisy and disrespectful of others. A group of young thirty-somethings partying every night, therefore very noisy late in the evening, leaving corpses of bottles of alcohol consumed the day before on the site and certainly not only smoking tobacco....Very disappointed!
