12/12/2025: Pizza chef without a hairnet or gloves, pizzas not as good as before, and on top of that, the little goat is gone 🫤. Service a bit slow... We really miss the old kitchen!

05/11/2025: Incredibly unsympathetic owner. We passed by during the off-season, when the restaurant was closed, and sat down in the sun on the deserted patio chairs, only to be chased away after 5 minutes... customer service was way below par!
09/09/2025: We had booked a room on our backpacking trip on the Echappee Jurassienne, with half-board, for €160.
However, it turned out that everything was extra, the aperitif and the wine... and that we paid €208, and that the room was infested with mosquitoes... we slept very badly... the menu was basic... in short, fellow hikers, avoid this place... unsuitable for a B&B and for hikers.

15/03/2026: We ordered two raclette meals (maximum 280) and ended up with two CBOs (consumers/meals). Seriously, not once did we order without a mistake. Frankly, Burger King is more reliable.

If the order is complete, it's cold; if it's hot, things are missing... When you forget the sandwich in a meal deal, maybe you should consider a career change... Not to mention the sandwiches that are stacked high like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the wait, and the staff's friendliness... I'm not asking for restaurant-quality service, because it's still fast food, but just at least service that matches the exorbitant prices...
In the top 5 worst McDonald's in France, I think...
PS: I'm changing my review today following my visit on February 6, 2026. For once, they didn't forget anything in the order, but they still forgot the chicken in the McChicken... I don't know which is worse...
03/02/2026: What the hell is going on?! I validated my order at the kiosk at 8pm and they brought it to my car at 9:20pm, don't you think that's ridiculous! If it's a staffing problem, they need to think about recruiting more people or changing managers.

I ate there yesterday with a friend. The service was quick and friendly.

09/03/2026: Avoid McDonald's at all costs. The McWraps are dry, cold, and crack so much they must have been sitting for hours. Unbelievable.
There's probably only one generous employee on the McFlurry.
Manager insults his employees. I hear it while I'm drinking my coffee, lol. A manager who knows how to manage.

10/03/2026: Tourist trap: They only serve mediocre frozen fries, and there are no water pitchers (as far as I know, they're connected to the drinking water supply). Even at the top of the slopes, they serve tap water. And to top it all off, the waiter "Chris" is extremely unpleasant.
07/03/2026: The whole area outside was empty. My friends and I were just there to sit. And their rude waitress told us to go somewhere else. People have totally lost their morals.

31/07/2024: Lake Chalain is very beautiful, but Google sends you to the Cap Fun campsite where the beach is not interesting.
It is better to go to Doucier beach, located opposite on the other side of the lake.
It is a supervised municipal beach with a single rate of €5 per vehicle.
There is more space, more shade, pedal boat rental and a small snack bar.
I recommend this beach.

01/03/2026: Overall, a very pleasant stay at the Hôtel des Bois Dormants.
The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful. The spa area is a real plus: the pool, jacuzzi, and sauna offer a truly relaxing break. The daily housekeeping is also appreciated.
However, the room was a little small, and the lack of a welcome tray was regrettable. While now standard, even in more modest establishments, this detail greatly contributes to the comfort and perceived quality.
I should mention that I did not try the restaurant or the breakfast.
Overall, a positive experience, with a few areas for improvement to fully meet expectations.
21/02/2026: We stopped at this hotel on our way back from skiing. We chose it for the pool, so the children could let off some steam before our long drive home.
The food is very good, the restaurant is excellent with impeccable service.
The rooms are dated, very poorly soundproofed, but very clean.
However, we were very disappointed to be charged an extra €35 for access to the pool… the room prices are already quite high, in my opinion! Their only response was: "Water is expensive these days!" I should point out that we called to book and this surcharge was never mentioned to us! This is an address to avoid; the price is completely disproportionate to the services offered! I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but we don't appreciate being taken for a ride!
