A set menu (starter, main course, dessert, coffee) for €17 👍
Homemade cuisine and a very welcoming and chatty owner.
The only slight drawback is that the dining room is a bit noisy in the evening compared to the lunchtime area.
10/05/2026: Friendly welcome, the buffet is decent, the main course very good, as are the cheese and dessert platter. Coffee and wine are included. It's a shame that sometimes the tables are filled with construction workers. 16 euros

22/11/2025: Apparently this will be their last service this Saturday, November 22, 2025... bankruptcy proceedings??
13/11/2025: Meal was acceptable. 8 guests had the plat du jour just over € 10 each. Had two glasses of wine, two beers,three coffees and two cokes. Boys went to pay and each was charged €61 each couple. Total bill € 240 !!!!! No receipt given back at till by server why not ? Noticed on way home way over charged it should have been less based on their published prices. Messaged within hours. No reply. Emailed, messages, messenger all ignored. Had to resort to revisiting and manager refused to refund overpayment. Asked where was the receipt ? Explained server did not give it back to us hmmm ? So 6 of us never going back again as felt very badly handled. Customer service very poor at handling this situation. I have written to their restaurant group too to ask for advice. Future guests check your bill carefully and ask for your receipt based on our experiences. Not recommended. We were visiting after attending the cremation of a very dear friend and it spoilt the whole celebration for us. Shame on this restaurant.

31/05/2026: We had a wonderful time as a family. The value for money is excellent, with a very varied menu and plenty of choice. All the dishes were delicious and the waitresses were very pleasant, smiling, and welcoming. We highly recommend it!
09/05/2026: Very welcoming hotel. Clean and comfortable with no frills. The hotel restaurant, La Papillon, is outstanding for great food and can be booked without staying at the hotel. Also do take-aways.

13/05/2026: We stayed here during a long cycling tour (UK-France-Germany-Switzerland). A good and reasonably priced hotel. The price and quality are well-matched. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is generally good. It's a shame the plate of pasta wasn't hot as advertised, and therefore neither were the noodles on top. ;-)

10/03/2026: We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The ingredients were high quality, the culinary combinations were beautiful, and above all, the wine list offered a wide variety of wines recommended by a very friendly and knowledgeable sommelier. The ambiance could be warmer, but everything else more than makes up for it.

The food is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious!
The waitress is super friendly and always smiling, and you can tell right away that she knows her drinks and food menus inside and out. ☺️

03/04/2026: We come to Sévigné for lunch almost every week. We're always on a tight schedule, and we're always served promptly. The service is always excellent, the welcome is always warm, and the food is always delicious. I highly recommend it and suggest calling ahead to make a reservation, as it's often full.
02/04/2026: I went to eat there a few days ago with my family, the service was perfect with a smile from the waitress, the meal was also excellent with a homemade terrine that was worth the trip as well as an excellent fish fillet at a very reasonable price, I recommend this establishment.

07/07/2026: Nine people sitting in the blazing sun on a terrace. We were asked to move to the shade. "It's this or nothing, we're full." You were too kind. We left with the staff telling us never to return. Rest assured, I personally won't be coming back anytime soon.

31/05/2026: Unique setting. A warm welcome, friendly staff; the dishes were decent (but nothing special); what a shame to offer such poor quality bread to accompany the meals.
The previous time (in March), the dishes were more sophisticated and the flavors better, especially the desserts.
Please pay more attention to the cleanliness of the bar's dishes.
We might return, but not right away!

11/07/2026: I called to ask if the Leclerc supermarket accepts Cadhoc card payments. The person I spoke to wasn't very pleasant and was curt: "Hello Madam, no Madam, goodbye Madam!" I called the Vitré branch, and the reception was very pleasant. The person checked and confirmed that I could pay with a Cadhoc card. So I'll be doing my back-to-school shopping at the Leclerc in Vitré, and with a smile too! 😅
07/07/2026: Leclerc is generally good, the only problem is that the young woman with glasses who works in the cheese section is rarely there. I often see her chatting in the distance, sometimes I have to wait 3 or 4 minutes and go find her or wave to her. As a customer, it's not great; my friends have had the same problem. 🤔
The self-checkouts are never open early in the morning. They're supposed to be there to save money. This morning I was LATE for work because the checkouts weren't OPEN. I was only there for one item. Better to go to Carrefour 😡
