24/02/2026: Hotel very well located. Generally, the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the room wasn't cleaned and the sheets weren't changed during our four-day stay. Even after mentioning this to the manager on the third day, it should have been done, but the cleaning staff only made the beds without changing the sheets. The coffee cups remained dirty on the desk throughout our stay. The bathroom was adequate. Breakfast was excellent. Very noisy both inside and outside. Poor bedding, badly damaged parquet flooring, and dirty walls.

15/11/2025: A very good restaurant. The waitress, who is also the owner, is very kind and attentive. The menu is varied, and the bull meat is local and very good. The covered and heated terrace is lovely during this winter period and is very well decorated; it's a very pleasant place to be. The owner, who works alone in the kitchen, manages the orders very well, and all our dishes were very good and generous. The only negative point was the "Coupe Liégeois," which contained no coffee but only scoops of ice cream; it was more of an ice cream sundae than a true Liège coffee. We had a really good time with the owner and chatted about local traditions. I recommend making a reservation. We will be back, The Alsatians 🥨

09/02/2026: On February 9, 2026, I went back to Kaena in Marseille for the first time in almost 20 years. What a great idea! I had merguez couscous and Alain had meatball couscous, and we split it half and half. It was delicious. Impeccable service, and the cherry on top was seeing the former owner, whose son has taken over the business. The whole package! We won't wait another 20 years to go back because at my age, I won't be around anymore...😁 Thank you for the quality, the service, and the atmosphere. Keep it up! 👏👏👏 By the way, someone mentioned a poor welcome at the counter? I didn't see a counter. That person must be confusing it with another restaurant. I saw the owner and the waiter; they're both very friendly and welcoming... I must say, we're friendly too... 😉😁

01/03/2026: Catastrophic!!!! I felt sorry for the two very friendly waiters, who were completely overwhelmed because the kitchen was a complete mess!!!! A two-hour wait for a table of six! Dishes were served at different times, and we had to send back two cold plates and undercooked fish. And on top of that, no compensation whatsoever! This isn't a good season at all!!!!

15/02/2026: The perfect Gypsy atmosphere is the restaurant's strong point. We ordered: Bull stew and duck breast. We had to order fries as an extra. Some people have posted photos in the comments; look at the small portion of rice that comes with the stew—it's very light, suitable for a 10-year-old. It's a shame, it's really the weak point. They could add more fries or more rice. The side dishes aren't the main expense of the meal. It's a shame to work all month to pay for a restaurant meal and leave hungry. It's been a long time since I've eaten in a restaurant and left hungry; I thought this type of establishment didn't exist anymore. So, consider adding extra charges for the side dishes because they aren't very generous. A practical note: it's very cold; the heating isn't sufficient.

28/12/2025: I don't usually leave reviews, but if I could give this a zero, I would. Disappointing place, disgusting menu, appalling service, unsmokable shisha, and the clientele leaves much to be desired for a restaurant in the 8th arrondissement. A disappointment, a place to avoid.

11/01/2026: A wonderful surprise! There were eight of us, no reservation, and we were accommodated. The welcome was very friendly, the food was sophisticated and delicious (the bull stew was original and excellent), and the establishment offers as many local products and drinks as possible. The manager, Bius, gave excellent advice on wine pairings. We really appreciated the decor; in short, we had a very pleasant time! Thank you!

The only way to reach you is by leaving a review. You responded to my previous review by suggesting she come to the restaurant for a refund, but this would require paying for gas, tolls, and parking since she doesn't live in Cassis! This is unacceptable. Could you please contact me to resolve this another way? Thank you
