19/10/2026: For a Royal Couscous, it was truly royal! And I know what I'm talking about, since I frequent couscous restaurants wherever I can find them, but unfortunately, they're becoming less and less authentic! In detail: Semolina cooked to order, grilled meat prepared at the last minute, and a vegetable broth (carrots, turnips, celery) cooked to perfection. The lamb shoulder simmering in the broth gives it a perfect flavor! A very nice little restaurant, superbly maintained by a family that has been there for several decades, and it shows! I won't dwell on the wine, but since the restaurant isn't far from Bandol, the choice is obvious. By the way, there are many other choices at the restaurant!

25/09/2026: We ordered very ordinary sea bream accompanied by hard vegetables that had clearly gone straight from the freezer to the pot. But even worse, the small amount of rice on the plate was served dry. And no, Mr. Manager, when a customer points this out, you don't reply, "If you had asked, we would have brought you butter!" You serve it as standard. The mussels marinière are bad; avoid them. In short, you don't deserve the stars in your review.

15/09/2026: We had a wonderful evening: cocktails, food, atmosphere, setting... but above all, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly! A special mention goes to the person who took such good care of us and seemed to coordinate the smooth workings of the team; I believe her name is Emmanuelle. A huge thank you: we will be back and I highly recommend it!

08/10/2026: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. It was the worst meal I had during my entire Provence vacation. Fish and chips isn't a typical French dish, but I've never eaten such bad fries. The cheapest frozen chips, poorly fried. What annoyed me most was the owner's reaction to my complaint. I asked for fresh fries and instead received the same old, by then cold, fries on a smaller plate. Thanks for not caring about your customers' well-being. Not recommended.

11/10/2026: The service was adequate, but the cocktails were very disappointing for an exorbitant price. They don't know how to make a margarita or a caipirinha, so if you go, choose something else or just walk away.

07/10/2026: Le Vardechois is an institution. The premises are welcoming, as are the staff. A special mention for the waitress and her recommendations. Kudos to the chef for the ribeye steak and the delicious fries; the salad was devoured before the photo could be taken 😅. Since the daily special was sold out when we arrived, my grandmother ordered the veal Milanese, which brought back some memories for her. The generous dessert portions will satisfy even the most discerning palate. Stop reading and go there before it's all gone! 😉
