29/04/2026: Really nice hotel. Not too far from the centre of town, nice staff, good rooms. Quality is the level to be expected from Novotel. Next to a parking.

29/03/2026: For years I've been coming to this hotel, and I've always been very satisfied. It had been a few years since my last stay, and I wasn't disappointed. The hotel is very well located, and the staff (reception, bar, housekeeping) are excellent, both in terms of service and their friendly manner (politeness, smiles, etc.).

09/05/2026: On May 9, 2026, my family and I decided to have drinks on the terrace at Le Président on the Grand Place in Lille. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was cold, but we ignored it and ordered: a beer, a cocktail for my wife, two soft drinks for the children, and a charcuterie board. The drinks arrived promptly. However, after 15 minutes without any news of the charcuterie board, I contacted the waitress again, who told me that "the order has been sent to the kitchen." 25 minutes later, our glasses were empty and there was still no sign of the board. My wife politely asked the waiter what was going on. That's when the trouble started. The man sulked, acted cocky, was clearly disrespectful, and made unpleasant remarks. His behavior was outrageous and completely unacceptable, especially in front of children. We decided to pay for the drinks and cancel the charcuterie board (which never arrived). The result: a ridiculous wait, empty glasses, and a waiter who should seriously consider a career change. Luckily our children were there, otherwise the conversation would have been very different. In short, an establishment that survives only thanks to its prime location on the Grand Place. Mediocre service, a cold welcome, and an employee who brings shame upon the place. Absolutely avoid this place. You have been warned.

14/12/2025: We were very disappointed by this so-called pub, which is anything but. The decor is downright creepy and the service incredibly slow. The menu is unappealing, hastily printed and stuffed into a plastic sleeve. As for the food, it's all reheated leftovers. In short, don't go!

10/04/2026: A very nice little restaurant. I went there for my lunch break and the waitress was very friendly. We chatted, which was lovely. The food was delicious and served quickly. They even offered me a free drink, and the restaurant itself is super cute and nicely decorated. I highly recommend it!

28/04/2026: Passing through Lille, we made our usual stop at this pastry shop. They're always friendly and welcoming. We encountered several different waiters/waitresses, and they were always excellent (even if we arrived at the last minute). They have a wide selection of pastries and viennoiseries. I love their cheesecake! I highly recommend this place.

21/04/2026: Delicious waffles and brioches! Don't hesitate to step into this shop! An ideal stop for a quick and tasty snack, whatever you're in the mood for. Fair prices.

11/04/2026: A warm welcome! You feel right at home at Switch, but you go there mainly for the delicious, hearty, and excellent food! The waitress is efficient and always smiling! Special mention to the chef 🧑‍🍳, who cooks homemade dishes that will delight your taste buds! He even comes out of the kitchen to serve dishes during the busy service hours! This is rare for a chef, and it gives us the opportunity to congratulate him and chat with him! See you soon to the whole team!

08/04/2026: Lilliputian, really… what a huge disappointment. At noon I'm there, full of hope and action. But twenty-five minutes pass in a long sigh, Before the plate finally dares to reach me. And then, astonishment: the dish seems like a joke, A Camembert so tiny it borders on magic. I thought I was seeing an appetizer, not the main course, Its size was such an insult to the anticipation. Fourteen euros for this? The audacity is undeniable, This borders on outright fraud. An elegant theft, without disguise or pretense, Like a museum robbery in broad daylight.

03/11/2025: Excellent. Nothing like the chain restaurants! The sushi is delicious. I highly recommend it.

26/10/2025: Maybe they had an off-night, but the sushi I had was dreadful. The rice was incredibly mushy and wet. It felt like I was eating porridge. The taste of the fish didn't bring it up enough unfortunately. When I am in Lille again I will be avoiding this place..
