02/07/2026: I saw the overall rating given by the public, I'm shocked lol Honestly, I've lived in the area for 5 months and this is my local bakery, and I honestly don't think it's anything special. It seems to be taking full advantage of its location and the associations it makes (it's in Old Lille, a rustic building, so you'd think the products would be too). Well, actually, no. Every time I've bought a ham and butter sandwich there, the bread wasn't soft, but almost stale in texture. (Between noon and 3 pm) The bread is the same, but I mostly bought it in the evening, so it has the excuse of being past its prime. (Around 6 pm) But what motivated me to leave a comment is that this morning at 8:30 am they were out of pain au chocolat. I... what? So early and already sold out? With the locals' bird-like appetites? Defrost a bit more, really, don't you think? Honestly, Aziza in Wazemmes is better, even though their bread isn't very well baked. Still, you're better than the bakery at the Wazemmes metro station, which is the worst, or even the one on Place Vanhoenecker. But don't aim to be the worst, try to be the best, please. The staff is lovely, hence the 2 stars, but I buy bread and pastries there, not good times with the staff.

28/06/2026: Red Beef is generally a high-quality restaurant. The meals are good, the meats are cooked perfectly, and the cuisine is on par with any standard brasserie. The portions and side dishes are generous, with a reasonable menu selection. My only slight disappointment was the tiramisu, which was a bit too dry for my taste. The service was adequate. The waitress was empathetic, smiling, and professional. The ordering process was smooth at first but slowed down when it came to dessert. We waited about fifteen minutes for the tables to be cleared and for our dessert order to arrive, and another fifteen minutes for the coffees we had previously ordered, which we received after reminding them. These short waits are easily forgivable given the large number of customers when we were having dessert. I would recommend this restaurant to families without hesitation, as it has a terrace and an upstairs dining room, ideal for those seeking a more secluded spot.

06/06/2026: We came with about a hundred English students for a day in Lille, and honestly, we couldn't have asked for anything better! Organizing a meal for such a large group isn't easy, but everything went incredibly smoothly thanks to the organization of the managers and the entire team. The meal was delicious, the service very efficient despite the impressive number of people, and everyone (students and teachers alike) left delighted 😊 A huge thank you to the whole team for your warm welcome, your patience, and your professionalism. You truly helped make this day special!

06/07/2026: Perfect location on the main square without being a tourist trap. Good local specialties at reasonable prices and a wonderful welcome from Max, who thoughtfully chose a table for me with a beautiful view, even though it was the furthest from the service area and I was dining alone. The entire staff greeted me with a smile, reflecting the warmth of Lille. I had already been there once while traveling, and I'll definitely be back. Thank you.
