14/08/2026: The floor is sticky, the cutlery is dirty. The communication is terrible, so you don't know if all the starters are part of the €2.60 offer. You ask the cashier, who says "yes, yes," but you can still see her glancing at her till. She doesn't offer you a receipt, and when you go back to her and tell her the bill isn't right, she immediately says, "Oh yes, I saw the starter wasn't listed at €2.60." 🤣 Then they automatically serve you fries without asking if you want vegetables and put the fries that were on your plate back into the fryer available for everyone else. 🤷🏻‍♀️

05/08/2026: From the first day you feel like family. An allongé in the early hours very well prepared.

25/06/2026: The owner was friendly; two of us arrived, they served us, then two other people joined us, and we could see he was sulking because he'd had to come back twice to avoid him.

17/04/2026: Apparently still undergoing renovations and no date set for properly welcoming customers...

30/12/2025: My first experience and I was very disappointed by the Christmas logs (the Provençal and the Hope). The shop's atmosphere is also poorly designed.

07/09/2026: Stopping here can only be due to an unfortunate coincidence. Yes, of course, the menus and drinks are cheap, but where's the quality? Bland dishes, nonexistent flavors, questionable freshness, and the meat's origins are dubious because it's so tasteless. In short, you go there and you definitely don't go back, and when you care about your friends and followers, you feel obligated to spare them such a despicable experience. The only improbable advantage this type of establishment can boast is being open on Sundays while the rest of the country wallows in laziness and blatant disdain for foreigners who arrive in our country on a Sunday!

23/08/2026: I agree with some of the reviews that there is indeed an aftertaste, but it's a lemongrass aftertaste. I wouldn't say it's the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to, but let's just say it does the job.

31/08/2026: McDonald's in Argentan, very good, warm welcome, and the quality-price ratio is excellent. I ate there with my son.

30/08/2026: We were surprised to see that the ice cream on the €5 menu had shrunk considerably… Disappointing service, orders NEVER correct. There are always missing items, forgotten sauces, upside-down sandwiches, fries barely half full, etc…

01/07/2026: Stopped here while cycle touring along the Velo Scenic and quickly discovered the place is totally anti-cyclists. We thought they were joking to begin with but then some UK ex-pats explained that the barman pretty much hates all forms of cyclists. It was buzzing inside with locals so presumably the owner doesn't need any more customers, in particular cyclists. There is a very nice cafe around the back of this place so go there instead.

05/05/2026: The manager came out in the pouring rain to chase us away; we were two women on bikes on the sidewalk, ready to make his entire day's sales. This man has many talents—perhaps he was torn between a career as a bouncer and running a restaurant. In the meantime, we highly recommend the establishment to Philippe Etchebest, who loves ambitious projects.
