25/06/2024: Popped in as a four on a busy Tuesday night. A popular local venue with an inviting menu. Service was a little on the slow side, but a pleasant enough venue with locals and Brit ex-pats. SG.

A little advice for management: 1st selection criterion for your future recruitments: friendliness and respect for customers.
But we are in Alençon! Most traders are unpleasant reasons why stores close one after another.

28/08/2024: I've been going there for over 10 years. The owner is nice, polite and the kebabs are generous. You can eat in or take away. I recommend this place.
22/08/2024: An ultra classic kebab neither really good nor really bad... Very limited hygiene.
It helps and gets the antibodies working.

04/08/2024: Very tired and unwelcoming. Staff friendly and room was clean but did feel a bit damp. Charged €13 for breakfast but the choice was limited.
28/07/2024: Dog supposedly accepted but not in the restaurant... but at breakfast yes! No indication of banning dogs. We pay for the dog (a trained golden, handicapped educated because 4 disabled people so not a ferocious or dirty dog)... why is it not accepted????? Not for a hygiene or food issue since he is allowed at breakfast. Not leaving him in a place unknown to him, I had to eat in the room while the rest of the family ate in the restaurant. On principle, I didn't have breakfast!
So FALSE INFORMATION saying dogs accepted
Old, dirty room, stained lamp, not enough power outlets... everything is already said in the other comments which I unfortunately discovered too late.
A SHAME!

04/09/2024: Arrived after driving for 6 hours in the rain, the manager offered to put our things in the dryer 👌
31/08/2024: A night spent at the “Soleil d’Or”. The welcome is family, the perfect setting (city center). The room is spacious but "sanibroyeur" WC with lots of recommendations posted, shower with bathtub to step over (risk of falling) and plastic shower curtain), shower head unusable... As for breakfast: "Self-service" type ", no one present, microwave, carton of milk, very little butter and fruit juice, no pastries... In short, I recommend not having breakfast but rather going to have it in town

22/08/2024: The best kebab in Orne? The level is very low in Orne, still this bland, soft and textureless meat which comes from the meadow-pail factory used by the majority of kebabs in Alençon. No home fries.
In short, an ultra classic kebab with cheap products like you see almost everywhere in Orne...
On the other hand, the portions are generous and the welcome is quite good. On the other hand, 7.50e for a kebab of this quality is clearly not worth it.

Order arrived in 1h20, cold, soft fries.
Burger without any taste due to water.
You have to have a taste bud problem to like this kind of restaurant…
One star because there is no choice.
