The restrooms were very clean.
The French cuisine was simple but very good. Everything was fresh. The gentleman and lady were kind, and I recommend you come back because the villages are beautiful and the restaurants are lovely.

17/05/2026: We often stop at this restaurant, which is on our way to Normandy. It's open all day, giving us the flexibility to arrive whenever we want, although it's best to call ahead to let them know what time we'll be arriving.
The food is delicious, the menu is varied, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. We recommend this place for a family outing and a tasty break along the way.

28/04/2026: We didn't stay at this hotel as it was fully booked, but at 10:30 PM, after being turned away with a reservation from the Brit Hotel in La Ferté, we were redirected to a bed and breakfast known to the staff. So, for the quality of service provided, it deserved a review!

04/04/2026: A warm and well-organized welcome. The mayor of the town had recommended me to the hotel owner. I ate and slept free of charge, thanks to the inn, the mayor, and the town.

15/06/2026: Our go-to lunch stop on our way to our holiday destination. Never disappointed. Always a warm welcome with a smile, even when we've forgotten to book. We usually take advantage of the daily menu, which is very comprehensive with buffet-style starters. The portions are generous and the service is very friendly, with hosts and hostesses who go out of their way to make customers feel welcome. Parking is right next door.
14/05/2026: We came on Saturday at lunchtime, a party of three. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smile. The waiter who took our order was professional and excellent with our son. The plates were generously filled. The sauce served with the duck was delicious, and the fries were perfect—not greasy and crispy. We were served by their trainee. What I appreciate about this restaurant is that the team enjoys passing on their knowledge (trainees, apprentices). Mr. G is a good cook. We will be back.

22/05/2026: A fantastic lunch stop for us during our Bayeux-Vire cycling trip, a famous stage of the 2025 Tour de France. The owner also cycled this stage in 2025, so we were on the same wavelength.
This is crucial for me, but it was entirely a happy coincidence, because the restaurant itself lived up to expectations. Excellent food and impeccable service in a simple yet bright setting. A wonderful day!

They're not very organized; they didn't ask if we wanted an aperitif or not. Then, they didn't even ask if we wanted water and didn't even bring a carafe…
We ordered our meat cooked medium, and when she came back, she said it was well-done, and for her, it was the same…
The sauce and seasoning were very basic, with no particular balance. The waitress was nice, no complaints there, but I think the kitchen needs to rethink its approach; it's a real shame.
