04/04/2024: Small restaurant deep in the countryside. Great welcome despite the number, fast service, and quality. I recommend this very nice restaurant. We will come back there when we travel. See you soon

23/05/2024: We came one evening at the opening, 3 of us, we each ordered a dish and 1 drink which were correct. On the other hand, the welcome was not very warm at first (we seemed to be in the way), the service was a little long, so we didn't order dessert and when it was time to pay, here's what we were told: "Next time, take away." if you don't have dessert" implying the manager would like to collect a bigger bill. We were just shocked at the rudeness of this remark, especially after having given up our 40 euros. In response to the owner's message: we didn't snack, we had dinner (1 dish each, 1 drink and 1 dessert for our daughter), I don't see how this type of order is problematic. It's a strange view of customer service to force people to have dessert (I'm not even mentioning the fact that: I have an illness that prevents me from eating sugar and we cleared the table quickly allowing you to make a 2nd place, which you dragged on the service and our 5 year old daughter was tired from a day's drive). In short, continue to treat your customers like this and you will no longer be able to pay any of your employees.

22/05/2024: Nice walk on the lake. BUT commanding with humor filled with outdated clichés The meal is far from being gourmet as indicated (you eat better in a simple truck). The dishes are barely warm and completely tasteless! I looked for curry in my seafood and white wine in salmon and couldn't find it! I doubt homemade. The crumble tart is no better with soggy dough and again without any flavor (frozen industrial?). Coffee to finish = a real juice! Could you please put the bottles of wine on the tables away from the sun and not near the windows, that goes without saying.

18/03/2024: Small restaurant in a small village, don't expect gourmet food! It's honest, nothing more, for cheap food: local people and passing employees find what they're looking for here.

11/03/2024: The 2 ladies are very welcoming and friendly, everything is home cooked with a very good and varied buffet of starters. It's a small, unpretentious restaurant where you can see that the customers are mostly regulars. Very good value for money. If you pass by don't hesitate to stop there!!

20/03/2024: Found this excellent restaurant for a stopover en route to Calais in the Michelin Guide because of its Bib Gourmand award. Great result! This is fine dining at a very fair price. We would recommend opting the more expensive gourmet menu at €56 as this has superb fish options and the hostess (and wife of the chef) had explained that the chef’s real love was for creating his fish dishes. We had home smoked salmon which had a real depth of flavour without being overpowering and then a sensational turbot dish with a lovely seafood sauce on a very generous portion of this most sought after fish which was cooked to perfection. A small but important point, the bread was fresh and a really lovely texture coming from the local boulangerie, perfect for mopping up sauce! Our deserts were clearly cooked freshly to order and again of a high quality. We found a delicious white wine from Chinon on a sensibly sized wine listto accompany our fish and the whole dining experience was complemented by quiet friendly efficient service. This is our idea of a nearly perfect French dining experience.

09/06/2024: Very disappointed with our stay. Room wise, nothing to complain about. As for breakfast, the bread is not very good, no cereal bread, Saturday morning there was honey and Sunday there was none. Not enough choice of tea. So what can we say about the restaurant, the owner is not pleasant at all. It seems to me that the customer is king, so if we want a brouilly with fish where is the problem? The next day at the end of the afternoon, the lady who was there asked us what time we wanted to be poisoned (just to ask us what time we wanted to have dinner). When ordering we said that we didn't want the kir normand but that we were going to have a normal aperitif, the boss took it badly but we paid the extra so no worries on our side. We didn't like the lemon chicken at all and in fact our husbands were sick the next morning. Of course we were offered a digestive at the end of the meal but that won't stop us from thinking that we won't come back to your place at all... Disappointed!

15/05/2024: Great seller and sellers! Fast and pleasant service. I love the staff and their cookies 😂 I appreciate their social media as well as their in-store offering. I highly recommend the cuddly crumb and especially that of Alençon for a pleasant atmosphere and a good time with the sellers who are always attentive.

22/06/2024: One week stay for training. The hotel is very well located, the staff are lovely and attentive to the needs of their customers. The room is spacious and well equipped, the bedding is of very good quality. The bathroom is nice with a large walk-in shower. The breakfasts are more than adequate and the evening meals are TOP!
