Les meilleurs restaurants en Saint-Jean-Pied-De-Port

07/02/2026: I'm changing my review. I don't know if there's been a change of chef or owner, but it wasn't our first time dining here. We've brought several friends and family members, and today we were disappointed! The charcuterie board was less generous than the one being served next to us, the burger tasted like it had been frozen, the tournedos had six potatoes that barely stood on end, and the lamb shoulder was dry and tough! All of this took 2.5 hours!! For just four courses!! We left without dessert or coffee (thankfully the bill was checked, otherwise we would have been paying for desserts and coffees we didn't even get!). It's a shame, we won't be back.

01/02/2026: The welcome was adequate! However, the food was mediocre, too salty, and the veal chop was undercooked, so it had to be sent back to the kitchen and was burnt! We waited far too long, over an hour, for our meal, and they forgot our coffee, forcing us to get up and ask for it! Never again!

06/01/2026: What wonderful service! The food was good, but for the price I expected more. For 2 people the bill came to €55. We ordered 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer and 2 main courses.

12/12/2025: Atypical hotel, very friendly staff, magnificent location, beautiful view and the perfect room on the top floor, large comfortable bed, air-conditioned room and above all clean with air conditioning.

09/10/2025: Spent 2 nights in SJPP before starting our Camino. This hotel was in a great location and the staff was lovely and welcoming. We were lucky to get an upgrade and our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Would happily recommend.

07/11/2025: Restaurant located in the historic center of town, accessible only on foot... Traditional cuisine in a charming, old-fashioned setting with a menu to suit all budgets. Very friendly and professional service. Reservations are recommended to avoid being turned away, even on weekdays, especially during school holidays.

05/10/2025: A real hidden find! After the 7 km to Garazi in pink, we were very well received and we ate very well. I recommend it

05/02/2026: Guinness wow, first I've had since I left home 6weeks ago. I'm English, the staff and customers made me feel welcome, will return with my dog one day.

24/09/2025: My girlfriend and I were on vacation when we stumbled upon this pizzeria and ordered. Super friendly and pleasant staff, and the thin-crust pizzas are simply excellent, so much so that we came back for our last night in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. I recommend it 100%.
