15/05/2026: Well, a very bad experience in terms of service. The restaurant was full, which is normal for this Ascension weekend. A gentleman kindly suggested we come back in 20 minutes, saying that some seats would become available. We arrived as agreed after half an hour. His manner changed; he practically shoved us out, telling us to wait further down the street, he said in a contemptuous tone. A couple arrived as well, and he told us to wait a little longer and informed them that he was setting their table. We understood, since there were only two of them and five of us. Then, immediately afterward, a group of four people arrived, and he ushered them in and seated them. That was the last straw for us! So much for the local meal; hungry and annoyed, we decided to go to Coco's just across the street. The welcome at the Auberge Rabelais was much warmer. The products may be of good quality, sourced from the Bocuse market halls, but the service is appalling. Sir, we are not just walking wallets...

08/06/2026: The restaurant has a great atmosphere. The waiters are attentive and very friendly. The menu features traditional home-style cooking; it's simple and quite delicious. We definitely recommend this Buchon!

17/05/2026: Hello, Our feedback: a. We ordered the children's menu for our little one. The vanilla syrup wasn't great (very sweet and artificial), which we expected, it's our fault. b. My wife ordered gnocchi. The dish arrived lukewarm (we asked for it to be reheated), but otherwise she was delighted; they were very good, generously portioned, no complaints. However, she asked for a glass of red wine, and the amount in the glass was ridiculously small. No problem, we asked the waiter, and he came back with twice the amount of wine in the glass (a normal portion, actually). We would have preferred not to have to "ask" for the correct amount from the start, of course. c. I ordered the Prosciutto pizza (the one with country ham, arugula, and cherry tomatoes). The pizza arrived without the arugula and with only half a cherry tomato in the middle. The amount of ham was fine. So I sent my dish back to have it corrected. Regarding the pizza dough (mine and the one from the kids' menu), the lack of a pizza oven should have been a red flag. The dough really wasn't great in taste and certainly not up to the standard of an Italian restaurant. I suspect the dough isn't made on-site, and it must have been cooked in a conventional oven. Pizza lovers, definitely steer clear.

09/05/2026: The staff were lovely and kind enough to take us just before closing time. The pizzas were delicious and the service was quick. I highly recommend them! Just be aware that during peak hours, it's still Old Lyon and can get very crowded, so be prepared to wait! 😜

15/05/2026: We came to try this restaurant, but our experience was rather mixed. Seeing only one server doing his job and running around while the waitress seemed more interested in her phone and slouching at the bar than in the waiting customers was unprofessional. It made us feel unwelcome. We also noticed cocktails on another table, yet we weren't offered any suggestions. Perhaps they should be added to the menu? Another minor drawback was the restrooms, which were really inadequate: they were neither high enough nor well-lit enough. Moving on to the food: the portions were quite reasonable. It was a real shame, however, to eat hot dishes on cold plates. At the same time, when only one server has to take care of the entire dining room, it's understandable… However, it was a pleasure to discover a new menu. The ribeye steak was good, although the accompanying pepper sauce was a bit too spicy. We will definitely return once improvements have been made to enjoy an even better experience.

30/06/2026: What can I say except that everything was perfect, the Lyonnaise inspiration sublimely refined and brought up to date. We were taken from one surprise to the next with this inspired menu. From the amuse-bouches, we were treated to something sublime, with the little bugnes au gratin (my wife's favorite) and the magnificent pike quenelle. From foie gras to veal trotters to squab, finishing with a dessert of astonishing lightness and freshness made with peach, we experienced an extraordinary journey. The wines selected for the pairing were surprising yet perfectly complemented the dishes, and the service was impeccable, friendly, and without the stiffness of some Michelin-starred restaurants. This was my third or fourth visit to Maître Tetedoie, and I am still just as enthusiastic. I hope that next time, the second star will be there, because it is more than deserved.

29/06/2026: A wonderful experience, with impeccable service, in a location with a beautiful view. The cuisine was excellent, super tasty, executed and presented with mastery. Highlights include the amazing appetizers and the sensational cheese... The desserts were delicious, and I even received a mini birthday cake, which was also wonderful... Truly a restaurant that lives up to its Michelin star!

07/06/2026: We stopped here because we love Tapas. We were so lucky to find this gem. Subtle seasoning to the amazing small plates. Enough to make you slow down and really taste to understand what you are eating. The sommelier was spot on for recommendation. All organic wine and a cheese plate that had a wonderful selection for texture and flavor. Hyper local and the chef is truly original.

We know that's what you needed to make up your mind…👀 Everything is perfect: cured ham, rosette salami, and chorizo ​​(even the pickles)! The guacamole is fresh, and the chili adds a lovely aroma without being overpowering. As for drinks, I highly recommend trying their cocktails! The lemon curd is a must-try on the menu. [Source (very reliable): my palate 🫪] And above all, the service makes all the difference. The team is attentive and makes you want to come back!

16/05/2026: The vegan options are DELICIOUS. There's no extra charge to replace the cheese or ham with a vegan equivalent, and that's really great.

31/03/2026: An OK option if you can’t find anywhere else to have lunch in Vieux Lyon. Service was good and staff were nice but the food isn’t great for what you pay. There’s better options in a gastronomical paradise like Lyon.

10/05/2026: Very disappointed. The gentleman was very kind; we bought seven different desserts, and he gave us a "day-old" Paris-Brest. Unfortunately, they were all probably several days old and were dry, so we didn't even try the last cake.

03/05/2026: We celebrated my birthday here, and unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The food was visually beautiful and creative, but overall quite bland, more focus on aesthetics than flavor. Service was also underwhelming from the start, with staff avoiding eye contact and coming across as distant rather than welcoming. Midway through the evening (after about four courses), something seemed to go wrong internally with the staff, and the whole experience unraveled. Service essentially stopped - not just for us, but for several tables around us. We waited over an hour for dessert with no updates, no water refills, and no offers for additional drinks. It genuinely felt like we had been forgotten. This was the first time I’ve been in a restaurant where I was actively hoping to leave. When the desserts finally came, the experience had already been overshadowed. To top it off, as we were literally walking out the door, they realized it was my birthday and offered a small cake, but by then it felt like an afterthought, and we didn’t stay. Overall, a disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion.

16/12/2025: Tasty and creative dishes, a wide selection of both the à la carte and daily menus; a good selection of wines. I particularly appreciated the care taken in preparing the vegan dish with grilled vegetables and bean puree.

07/06/2026: I agree with some of the comments that highlight the lack of flavor in the drinks; indeed, the homemade iced tea and the Purple latte were bland. The waitress, however, was very nice.
