09/02/2026: I was here in 2022 during my visit to Lyon. After leaving the cathedral, I walked through this area and arrived at this square, called Pl. du Gouvernementvi. I went to this restaurant-café and had a drink. It's a very pleasant place, in this small square surrounded by beautiful buildings. The coffee is very good, it's quiet when you're there, and the service is excellent. I really enjoyed sitting there and taking in the view.

04/12/2024: Amazing! Lovely long dinner. Food was so rich and tasty - great for a cold evening in Lyon. We had lot a of pork - beautifully rich and salty. The younger male waiter was amazing. One of the best services (in english) we have had in france. Best meal we’ve had in a really long time!!

04/02/2026: This is a hotel I'd wanted to try for a long time, after staying at Villa Maia and Boscolo. Access by car isn't necessarily the most convenient: you park on the quayside and then have to cross cobblestone streets that make pushing the stroller with our daughter a bit bumpy. When we booked the day before, we had some issues with the online payment system, which was glitching, but we were assured by phone that the room was indeed reserved. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't showing up, but the staff was very responsive and quickly found us a room perfectly suited for a stay with a baby. A travel cot was brought to us shortly after we settled in. We enjoyed the spa in the late evening: the pool was very pleasant and peaceful, and we also enjoyed a very relaxing visit to the sauna. Since two drinks were offered at the bar, we took advantage of them. Even though the planter's punch wasn't on the menu, Tanya didn't hesitate to make us several, which really contributed to the quality of the evening. We ordered snacks to go with our drinks: a charcuterie board, salmon, and a croque-monsieur, all quite good, with a special mention for the cream sauce that accompanied the salmon. The room was comfortable, and we had a very restful night. In the morning, we had breakfast in the courtyard in the center of the hotel: it felt like being outside while still being inside, in a truly lovely setting. The continental buffet was quite comprehensive (breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices), and the eggs Benedict were rather good. Before leaving, we made a quick stop at the gift shop in search of a Guignol puppet… we ended up leaving with the hotel's lion, which we named Léon 😊 A very pleasant experience, despite a few minor hiccups quickly resolved by attentive and efficient staff.

27/01/2026: The hotel is a beautifully renovated place, incredible bar, restaurant area, great historic common spaces! Abundant breakfast, nicely decorated rooms. You might get issues reaching the hotel because it is situated in a pedestrian area - so don’t forget to call before you arrive to get a password for entering.

02/12/2024: Very warm welcome and typical cuisine. I ate the pike quenelle, it was delicious. Good value for money for an evening as a couple or with friends. I don't understand the negative reviews about this restaurant, my partner is a restaurateur and he also enjoyed it! In short, very good time in this restaurant, thank you and see you soon!

01/12/2024: Hello, absolutely avoid. Tourist trap, frozen not even well cooked. salad with brownish traces. Dish of so-called tiny ravioli with disgusting mushrooms and a disgusting sauce. When you go to the toilet, an incredible sight, no paper, no water, the tap is blocked by plastic film. To flee...

02/09/2024: We were offered a complimentary aperitif as soon as we arrived... A friendly atmosphere. The service was very quick and generous, with good traditional cuisine. A place to remember.

26/07/2024: Very friendly staff, the waiter I had was very sweet. The food was great and well done. As a tourist I would like to come back! Definitely recommended!

29/09/2024: Un très bon moment ! Nous avons découvert ce resto à la sortie d'un spectacle, un peu par hasard... Un régal, un bouchon comme on les aime... Une cuisine authentique, des mets de qualité et un service très agréable... Le tout pour un très bon rapport qualité prix. On valide et recommande!

19/09/2024: Je n’avais pas de réservation et on m’a demandé de partager la table. Il paraît que c’est le principe dans un bouchon. J’étais un peu sceptique au début mais j’ai adoré l’expérience. Très bon et super service par ailleurs

29/09/2024: Go there with your eyes closed! I go there from time to time when the evenings start to make me hungry. The portions are very generous and we love it! (For the bravest there is the XL version, which is not the one in the photo). The products are quality and prepared quickly. The drinks are good. The staff are adorable and smiling. Take the time to discuss and make the requested arrangements. I know I will always leave having had a good time.

25/09/2024: Their burritos are incredible and the welcome warm. The portions are copious, you are very full at the end.

21/08/2024: Cuisine moyenne, le patron est un grossier personnage qui hurle et insulte ses employés (on l'entend à 100m avant d'arriver). Gros monsieur qui fume et bois en cuisine (bonjour l'hygiène). Ne mérite pas de travailler, honte à lui pour son comportement vis à vis de son personnel.

17/08/2024: Très déçu,pourtant on a pour habitude de s’y arrêter lors de nos visites sur Lyon,cuisson des viandes vraiment à revoir !!(carboniser) les accompagnements fade,et gorger huile pour les frites,les desserts Bof,qu’elle dommage !!!!
