16/09/2024: Kindly welcomed, with a smile, well seated outside, but very disappointed by the platter of the main course and the desserts, which were mediocre. Nothing to do with the kitchen of the previous owners, too bad.

Une cuisine authentique, des mets de qualité et un service très agréable... Le tout pour un très bon rapport qualité prix. On valide et recommande!

19/09/2024: Je n’avais pas de réservation et on m’a demandé de partager la table. Il paraît que c’est le principe dans un bouchon. J’étais un peu sceptique au début mais j’ai adoré l’expérience. Très bon et super service par ailleurs

15/09/2024: Concerning the Bistrot Tetedoie (and not the gastronomic one). The cuisine is famous, the terrace is pleasant but for the service there are undoubtedly things to review. The appetizers arrived well after the appetizers, and we had to ask for them. The wine was offered to us before the aperitif arrived. The aperitif had barely finished, the dishes arrived...well, everything was upside down, not to mention that we had to wait a while before our order was taken. What a beautiful cacophony...and I think that with a single menu at 44 euros we could have hoped for better. We have done other experiments in the area that are much more conclusive.

03/10/2024: I chose this restaurant because they sold Lyon specialities. To be honest, I liked the view and the atmosphere because it's near the central attractions. But the food was a little strange for me and my friend. Also we had little time because we had to catch our bus to another city, and the kitchen took so long to serve (about 20mins). Unluckily, we couldn't finsh all the food, we left more than a half. I could only ate potatos because the meat was made weird and very salty (I'm sorry to Lyonnais if the meat was how it supposed to be).

02/10/2024: Passing through Lyon we ate in this small creperie in old Lyon, apart from the fact that this restaurant is well located in the heart of the old town and which is nice, we can't say the same about the staff when we ask them some question seeing as we do m 'answered we would say that we make them c…r in short then frankly the pancakes are not sensational but a positive point not expensive

20/09/2024: Invited by a friend from Lyon, who came to eat for her reputation! We were very disappointed with the Lyon salad and the dessert, a spongy praline tart and no praline, profiteroles or chocolate. I found a bit of whipped cream at the bottom of the plate which had no taste and was runny. In short, luckily the dumplings were good… In short, not a good address, see the cook again please.

30/09/2024: This is the second time I come to this cafe. The first time I had a bad experience so I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We arrived 40min before closing and sat at one of the tables. The main female waiter seemed super busy so we politely waited to be served. Nothing happened for 10min. I called the second waiter to tell her that we wanted to order and she said "ok", but no one came to our table. 10min passed and I decided to stand up to go to the comptoir to place my order. The woman at the bar told me they were closing (it was 20min before closing) and she wouldn't serve us. I had to tell her that we had been waiting for 20min and she said that she'd made an exception and -annoyed- she asked me what we wanted (she has the right to be annoyed, but HEY we've also been waiting for a while now!). I ordered 2 teas but she refused to serve us the tiramisu we wanted to try. We drank our teas and as people started to leave the waitress that I called to order, came and told us the museum was closing. We were almost done with the teas so we sped up a little. Later a man came and told us "The museum has been closed for 10 minutes already, we are close now" in an unpleasant tone. I said thank you, finished our teas, and left. My advice: The service industry is under tons of recruiting stress which is clearly the cause of their current service; so come to the garden with your snacks (the food is ok but the service makes you feel like you're an inconvenience) to enjoy the garden at your own peace. No need to spend energy ordering at the cafe for now.

30/08/2024: Endroit très touristique, les plats sont surgelés et vraiment pas cuisinés sur place: le saucisson brioché n’en a que le nom, la suite fut idem! Avons déjeuné dehors mais pas déçus lorsque nous sommes allés aux toilettes, hygiène à REVOIR.Question sur l’absence de règlement en carte bancaire??? Ils préfèrent les espèces ! Fuyez absolument.

03/04/2024: Very friendly welcome and fast service. We were in a hurry, so we had two salads, a Lyonnaise and one with chicken livers. We had a blast.

02/09/2024: Stranded here today (September 2, 2024). I was spoiled with a delicious vegan wine, risotto and mango-rhubarb crumble. The chef was nice and relaxed and occasionally chatted with acquaintances who passed by. I think that's nice to see. If I ever come to Lyon again, I will definitely come back!

22/08/2024: Stopped here for coffee and pastries. Was greeted with: 'I don't have time'. Not even a smile. Yet all tables inside were unoccupied... I appreciate that everybody can have a bad day. But I see others have posted comments reporting similar aggressive behavior from the owner/waiter here in recent weeks/months... Thus I am crossing this one off from our list of favorite vegeterian/vegan restaurants and coffee shops in the city. Gladly, there are several, more welcoming and friendly alternatives offering vegetarian or vegan options in Lyon today.
