19/03/2024: Excellent bar like few others, discovered completely by chance while walking on Rue Damiette. The discreet storefront doesn't look like much. Once through the door, what a surprise! we dive directly into an atypical 1920s atmosphere and discover a cozy and vintage atmosphere. The waiters are dressed and styled as they were in those days, which adds to the change of scenery. The cocktails are delicious, sophisticated and well-proportioned - you just have to see the bartender at work to understand that here, mixology is an art and it's no laughing matter! Well stocked board (we tried the mixed one). Prices a little higher than average, but you pay for the quality. Truly a timeless and unmissable place!

Travelling down to the south of France over night in Rouen, Restaurant Les Capucines popped up on the radar as a potential 'good eats' venue. Advertised as a family restaurant, we received a warm welcome to a spacious dining area, slightly dated, but with a pleasant ambiance. Various options for 'le menu' that offered good value. Limited menu of seasonal selections (good, good), well prepared & presented, and most important, lovely flavours!
If you are passing though, definitely worth a visit.

05/04/2024: Ashamed !!!! Table reserved in advance at 9:15 p.m., we arrive at 9:30 p.m. to be told that the kitchen is closed, a shame for the restaurant with a manager who looks down on us! The publicity will be done! And then they come crying that times are hard for restaurateurs, well they can be less stupid! And respect the customers, at the same time barely 10 people seated announces the notoriety of the establishment......like the receptions and the appearance of the canteen which serves as a restaurant. ....it's people like you who are dirtying the region.........Word of a restaurateur....I wish you all the misfortune in the world, kind regards

21/03/2024: Charming establishment with a taste for very careful decoration. The staff is qualified and has an infectious smile. However (as far as we are concerned), the service is very long, especially considering a full restaurant, with a 1h40 wait between the starter and the à la carte dish. The plates are served in very modern crockery and the plating is just as careful. Somewhat disappointed by the dish which has an identical garnish on two different fish dishes. The portion of turbot (or turbotin given the thickness) at €28 seems excessive. The cooking is on the verge of overcooking and the filling is served cold, with extra steel wool (note to the waiter!). The seasonings are good overall.

01/04/2024: Thanks to Emmanuelle Jary for introducing us to gems like at Nounoute. What happiness! A boss who does this job out of conviction and passion. She shares the addresses of these suppliers, places to discover and visit and good tips for saving. A delight for our taste buds… the dishes, desserts and even the wine from the pitcher are excellent. And his team is in his image, therefore efficient and adorable. Would not change a thing !! We'll be back soon 😉
