11/04/2026: Keep walking, you'll find much better on this street. It's expensive for what it is. We ordered mussels in cider. Personally, I had to search for the sauce, and the mussels were very poor quality and there were hardly any in the pot. Only the fries served with it were good, and the service was quick.

03/05/2026: I'm a regular customer of Couleur Café and a self-confessed coffee addict. I buy my coffee there, but I also come every week to have coffee with friends. We always joke about it, saying, "Well, they're not exactly known for their excellent service, but at least the coffee is good." However, this will be the last time, and I'm very disappointed to have to write a negative review. This morning, as is often the case, I sat on the terrace with a friend. After 15 minutes, we figured they were probably overwhelmed, so I went inside to order (which was no problem for me). I was greeted in a way that was more than irritating. The man, who seemed to be bothering me simply by being there, said, "Well, there's going to be a wait, you know. I have the shop and orders to take care of," as if he'd prefer I wasn't there. I politely replied, "Yes, yes, no problem." As I rested outside, I thought to myself that I was still unhappy to be spoken to so rudely when I hadn't done anything wrong, just ordered a coffee in a café—nothing too crazy. So my friend and I decided to go somewhere else. Out of courtesy, I wanted to let the man know so he wouldn't make coffees unnecessarily, so I went back upstairs. He had his back to me, making coffees. I said, "Excuse me, sir," and without turning around or even acknowledging who I was, he replied in the curtest and most contemptuous tone, "Well, I don't have time right now!" Shocked, I left. I won't lie, a rather inelegant "What an asshole!" escaped my lips as I left the café, and the little old lady who was queuing behind me called out, "I agree, I'm leaving too." I don't see why you feel entitled to be so rude to customers, especially when they are so polite and patient. A simple "I'll be with you in two minutes" would have sufficed. It was clearly the last time I set foot in there, and I'm very sorry because I've been buying my coffee and tea here for years, but you can't take advantage; people aren't animals. And no, it wasn't an exceptional situation. Best of luck, and please take better care of your customers.

08/12/2025: We had dinner there as a group of three on Sunday evening. We were pleasantly surprised by this pizzeria; the pizza was good, the ingredients were high quality, the waiter was very pleasant, the price was reasonable, the tiramisu was excellent, and the Bardolino red wine was also very good – a great place to eat!
07/12/2025: We booked because the Capri was part of the Gourmet Passport. Right from the booking stage, they told us they no longer accept the passport on Saturdays...! They finally accepted it. Once there, they specified that we needed a minimum spend of €30 per person, excluding drinks, to get the discount. But nothing adds up to €30 if you order a main course and dessert... there's no set menu... and on top of that, the service was incredibly cold! They use the passport to attract customers, but it's ultimately useless! And then there's the detail of the waiter in the restroom who didn't wash his hands after leaving... even though I was standing right in front of the sink... oh my god! 😱😱

06/05/2026: I came with my son during a motorcycle road trip where we stopped in Rouen. We found this restaurant by chance. It was very good, they were very attentive, and the atmosphere was nice 😊 I recommend it!

05/05/2026: I wholeheartedly recommend this place! The atmosphere at La Madeleine is both warm and welcoming. A huge thank you to the owner, Arthur, for his kindness and helpfulness, as well as to his entire team. As for the food, the dishes are always excellent. Go without hesitation!
09/02/2026: Frankly, their professionalism is nonexistent. Giving permission over the phone to hold a package, then surreptitiously sending it back without warning, is either utter incompetence or a complete joke. I should mention that I was on vacation abroad. As soon as I received the package, I called the pickup point to inform them of the situation. I asked if they could hold the package for three more days, or if it was possible to send someone to pick it up for me. The answer was a resounding yes: “Yes, no problem.” Despite this, the package was returned. No information, no responsibility taken, just apologies after the fact. And to top it all off, the man had the nerve to speak to me in an inappropriate and insolent manner. After initially acknowledging that the error was theirs, the tone suddenly changed: I'm now being criticized for not sending someone to pick up the package, in a contemptuous and completely unacceptable manner. Shifting responsibility for one's own mistake by speaking rudely to the customer. A minimum of professionalism and respect should not be optional.

02/12/2025: I didn't like my customer experience. I wanted to order via my phone, but I couldn't select two pickup points. I contacted customer service, who weren't very helpful, so I continued with my order on my computer anyway. I ordered €60 worth of coffee, only to be told it was back in stock, even though it wasn't listed as such on the website. The refund took seven days to process, which is ridiculous. I can't comment on the quality of the coffee; I imagine it's very good, but I haven't had the chance to try it. I'm quite disappointed.
16/11/2025: What a shame. I was given a coffee roasting course with them for Christmas. The course was cancelled (no problem, they had a major issue to deal with). But I followed up in person, by email, by phone… at least four or five times. Each time they noted my contact information and promised to call me back. It's been over a year. No refund or new date.

04/01/2026: We reserved a Too Good To Go basket for Sunday, January 4th, between 3 pm and 4 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm and discovered that the restaurant had permanently closed. The announcement for the basket was posted online yesterday morning. How is it possible to scam us like this when the restaurant has been closed for several days?! This is a huge scam! We are extremely angry and want a refund!
30/12/2025: Beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We, along with our children, enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

31/05/2026: I came on the evening of the Champions League final; the temperature was very high outside, so logically it was also high inside. We had a reservation for 10. The waiter came to ask us what we wanted to order. We ordered and simultaneously asked for a carafe of water because it was VERY HOT, and we were told, "Water is only served with food." Later, we learned that it was actually only the carafe of water that was served with food, but we could have had a glass of water. So, for the second seating, we reordered and asked for two more glasses of water in addition to the ten we had ordered. We were told, "Okay." In the end, no glasses of water. Then came the third seating. We all ordered something except for one person who asked for a glass of water, and they told him, "No, you have to order something." I reminded him that we were on our third seating, had been there for an hour, and it was 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). We decided not to make a fuss and reordered, asking for one more glass of water, but the order arrived, and still no glass of water. So we asked the owner for a glass of water. "No, guys, we don't serve water," he said. We replied, "What do you mean you have to? It's mandatory!" He responded, "No, you're not going to tell me how to do my job." So we retorted that it was the law, especially in this temperature, and he told us, "If you want, you can get up and go get some, let my waiter do his job." We didn't mind getting up, but he should have told us beforehand, and especially since I don't mean to be disrespectful to the waiter whose job it is to SERVE people. In short, I deplore the owner's tone over a glass of water in 30-degree heat. Finally, before the match started, a pint of beer was advertised as €6 until 9 pm, but at 6 pm, the price had gone back up to €7.50, and the happy hour discount was ultimately removed without explanation or warning before our second order.
22/05/2026: Excellent daily special. Finally, decent fries in this brasserie compared to other brasseries or restaurants in Rouen. Very good fish and chips. Reasonable prices.
