27/03/2026: We went to Auberge de César on the recommendation of a staff member at our hotel, and we're so glad we did! Thanks to Léa for the tip 🙂 The restaurant is located in a side street overlooking the port of L'Herbaudière. We didn't get to enjoy the view at night, but we imagine it's fantastic during the day! The restaurant has a really warm atmosphere, and the hostess is very welcoming. We felt completely at ease throughout our meal. We had a wonderful meal: cod for my wife, and monkfish cooked in a wood-fired oven for me. Profiteroles and chocolate fondant for dessert. We highly recommend it!

21/03/2026: A superb discovery at Le Rafio in Noirmoutier! 🌊 During our visit to the island, we had the pleasure of stopping at this restaurant… and what a delightful surprise! A huge thank you to Franck, our waiter, and to the entire team for their warm welcome. Good humor, a touch of wit, and professionalism: everything was there for a wonderful experience. The decor transports you from the moment you enter, and the food is just as captivating. The quality of the ingredients, the perfect cooking, and the originality of the recipes truly delighted our taste buds. An address we wholeheartedly recommend. Thank you again for this wonderful experience; we will gladly return on our next visit to the island!

25/03/2026: An impeccable three-Michelin-starred restaurant, resolutely focused on seafood. The dishes are magnificent and imbued with a great deal of artistry... the talent of the chef and the team is undeniable. My only reservation is the somewhat cold dining room with its rather harsh lighting... I think the restaurant would greatly benefit from reworking its lighting design.

20/03/2026: From the moment you arrive, the experience begins with a truly original welcome that immediately immerses you in the atmosphere. You instantly sense that you're not in a typical restaurant. Walking past the kitchens to meet the staff is a real bonus: a very pleasant, lively, and authentic moment that adds a wonderful human touch to the experience. Once seated, however, the dining room decor seems rather ordinary and somewhat understated compared to the rest of the experience, which contrasts with the initial impression. As for the food, there's nothing to criticize: the dishes are beautifully presented, with a real attention to detail. The meal is both delicious and generous, which is rare enough in fine dining to warrant mentioning. A particular highlight was the seafood broth and the lobster, absolutely incredible, both for the precision of their flavors and the emotion they evoke. The service is undeniably professional and perfectly executed, but can seem a little impersonal at times. Overall, it's a top-notch gourmet restaurant where you can feel the immense effort and dedication of the entire team. The experience is memorable and well worth having, although personally, I would place it more at the level of an excellent two-star restaurant than a three-star one.

The service is still finding its feet (it's the start of the season, after all), but the team is friendly, helpful, and attentive, which is very pleasant. 05/04/2026: We booked in the morning. We were told we absolutely had to come at noon because it was too busy with two seatings... We were the first to be seated on the terrace. But while the other customers were finishing their meals, ours still hadn't arrived after an hour and a quarter... Disappointed, we left... They clearly don't care about their customers because when we complained, they just told us there must have been a problem... This restaurant is best avoided...

16/03/2026: I had a sea bass fillet with beurre blanc sauce, baby vegetables, and risotto. It was absolutely delicious! My partner couldn't decide between two sauces for his meat... he got both! And the fillet was tender and perfectly cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was quick, but it wasn't very busy. It's off-season. For dessert, the profiteroles (which we often order at restaurants) were delicious. Thank you!

14/03/2026: Excellent meal at this restaurant, discovered by chance during a stroll in L'Herbaudière. Impeccable welcome and service. Refined dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients (the beef tataki was superb, and the pizza came with a small homemade tomato sauce). Very good value for money. €30 for two people for a main course and coffee. Highly recommended.
