13/09/2026: I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes at home only to have to cancel and go pick up the order myself, and then wait even longer! Honestly, you need to be more organized or at least warn customers that there will be a wait, because this is a disaster, especially when you have to work the next day. It's the first time I've ever had to wait this long for a kebab! Never again!

06/09/2026: I just called tonight and they told me, "Next time you call, I'll give you the drinks on the house." But actually, there won't be a next time. Let me explain: We ordered at 8 PM and got our delivery at 9:39 PM. The order came to €65, by the way. Not €10... We noticed the drinks weren't there; we immediately told the delivery driver. He said, "That's the third time this week they've pulled this stunt." And he left... We called a few minutes later and they told us they were sure they had included the drinks. The driver blamed the restaurant, and the restaurant blamed the driver. They said that next time, as an apology, they would give us the drinks on the house. Basically, at this point, we're sending the driver back with the drinks, or a cash refund. That's over €8 worth of drinks wasted. I was paying for everyone's kebabs for our move; I already live on a tight budget, so every euro counts, you understand. Anyway, it completely disgusted me. Or how to live in a world where everyone rips you off all the time.

14/02/2026: I know this establishment very well and I've enjoyed it until the day the beef satay I was served was truly off-flavored; it smelled incredibly strong, but they served it to me anyway. After I pointed this out to the owner, who immediately reprimanded his sister in the kitchen, he returned looking embarrassed and apologizing. The problem is, he shouldn't have served me that dish. Since then, I only go there as a last resort. Apart from that incident, the food served is good! I've recently started going back, and tonight (March 3, 2022) I wasn't disappointed. I think the kitchen has made some adjustments, and as a result, I'm going back regularly. Today, January 14, 2023, we went to this establishment, and frankly, we didn't regret it. We had a wonderful meal: I had my Vietnamese salad and beef satay, and my wife had her pho with coconut pearls. The atmosphere was good, it was busy, and there were lots of takeout orders. In short, I'll be back. PLEASE NOTE: The restaurant will be closed for the entire month of February 2023 and will not reopen until March 1st, 2023. Today, February 14th, 2026, this restaurant is permanently closed due to retirement. An Indian restaurant is expected to replace it. Opening date unknown.

11/11/2025: Always a very warm welcome at Saigon City. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

20/04/2026: One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. The shrimp chips were disgusting, reeking of grease from the start; I couldn't eat them. The starter, a canned salad, was okay. And then... we waited and waited and waited... After half an hour, they realized they'd forgotten about us! The meal was rushed, and in the end, it lasted less time than the wait between the starter and the main course! It was so bad that I didn't want to risk it with dessert, so I chose nougat. Well, I couldn't eat that either; it was at least a week old, completely stale and opaque, the sesame seeds had even gone rancid! Disgusting. I do not recommend it. It doesn't look expensive, but when you leave more than half your meal because it's frankly bad and you're afraid of getting sick, yes, it's expensive, very expensive :(

04/06/2026: I buy takeout there. The service is very friendly, the bobun is delicious, and the spicy chicken is just the right amount of hot. I really like this simple, good, "neighborhood" place.

02/06/2026: This is ridiculous: terrible service, bland food, no consideration whatsoever, and much more… Not to mention the blatant disregard for my wallet. €33 for dishes that were very, very poorly weighed. When you want to confirm a payment, you ask the person directly; you don't just confirm the order for them. In short, shame on you and your restaurant.

25/05/2026: The best Vietnamese takeaway (or eat-in) buffet I've ever had, a must-try for me for years when in La Rochelle. The staff are very competent and friendly, and the price is very reasonable. Refined cuisine. I highly recommend it.

05/09/2026: The food is best avoided. Going from spring rolls to cassoulet, why not? But the quality just isn't there. The staff are helpful and smiling, but that doesn't make up for the food. Nothing is fresh; it's really not great at all. I gave it two stars because I see this establishment as a kind of social catering service. The customers are regulars, probably on low incomes, who clearly enjoy being here. So, for that reason alone...

24/07/2026: I do not recommend this restaurant, and after being a customer for years, I will not be returning. The portions have become extremely small (not even 100g of cooked rice), at least half the size they were a few years ago. The dishes are swimming in such a watery sauce that it can hardly be called a sauce. Finally, the online menu is poorly designed, with several overlapping lines and the old prices. So, to sum up, they've increased the prices but halved the portion sizes... The customer is treated like a sucker, how kind! Thanks, but no thanks, never again.

29/09/2026: I ordered shrimp and calamari in sweet and sour sauce. Button mushrooms in my dish. Canned pineapple. Rubby calamari. Tiny portion of undercooked rice. Tiny spring rolls with very little filling. In short, 30 bucks for this!!! I'm furious.

06/09/2026: My husband ordered beef soup to go. Negative points: the broth was poorly packaged and leaked a little. The meat was fresh, which surprised me as I don't usually eat it. We contacted customer service to ask if the recipe allowed for raw meat, but they couldn't give us a clear answer. I'm wondering if I would recommend this dish. Positive points: the rice noodles were good and the broth was delicious!

30/07/2026: Generous portions, good food, and a charming little restaurant. Since there were only two of us, a little background music would have added to the atmosphere; it would have been nice. The waiter was very attentive, always checking in from a distance to see how things were going and waiting for a signal before approaching; it was very pleasant.

20/06/2026: The food didn't seem homemade; everything tasted frozen, except for the spring rolls, which were overcooked and dry. We were disappointed, expecting to find a restaurant with traditional, homemade cuisine. A shame. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and the waiter was constantly close to us. We felt listened to and observed, which was disappointing because we thought we could enjoy a quiet moment together as a couple. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this restaurant.

06/08/2026: Where to begin... The advertised meat was cooked over a wood fire, which was the reason we came to this restaurant. After ordering, I saw the wood-fired oven was off, so I mentioned it to the owner, who told me he hadn't lit it... The least they could do is inform their customers upon arrival. Then there's the hygiene, which is deplorable, from the toilets to the dining area. It's a real dump. Very disappointed. Never again!

17/09/2026: Fantastic restaurant, my personal go-to spot, I recommend it 200%. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great, and the staff and manager are lovely. If you have time around lunchtime or in the evening, I highly recommend it, and you'll definitely want to go back on your own.

20/07/2026: The proprietress's service was mediocre; she came across as a bit mean. The portions were small, too—just a few strands of noodles. I strongly advise against coming here; don't eat here.
