12/09/2024: We had popped when passing this place for a drink some weeks ago, drawn by the fact that it was so busy. We had noticed that they were cooking delicious steaks over a wood fire and decided to come back and give it a try. Three of us came, the place was busy again even for a Wednesday evening so we were glad we had reserved a table. The decor is plain but the chairs comfortable enough and the layout is fine. The young man who served us was quick, polite and attentive. We all decided to go for the Tendre de Tranches, one à point, two saignant. I explained to the server that I didn’t want the accompanying chips or bread but could I have a large green salad and that was exactly what I got. Within minutes our food appeared, beautiful tender slices of gorgeous limousine steak presented on a wooden board , massive heaps of homemade rustic chips for my friends and a wonderful crisp green salad for me. All very tasty. The server had recommended a bottle of Bordeaux that was the nicest I’d tasted in a long while and inexpensive at €16 a bottle. The gents had a Dame Bordelaise pudding which they said was nice and the entire bill for the theee of us was under a hundred euros. Great! We will definitely return very soon.

26/09/2024: Long service and dish, good but not hearty enough and too simple.

15/09/2024: Good restaurant. Nice and warm atmosphere. We are served on the dish and not on the plate. The cuisine is made with local, quality products. For my taste, herbs and other spices take over the taste of food a little too much. Fairly high prices.

21/11/2024: Friendly and friendly welcome. The meals (dinner and breakfast), nothing to say. Very correct and succulent meat. Where it is much less good is the accommodation. So I'm curious to see what the boss will say because he defends himself against everything. But in view of the numerous comments, I am willing that some exaggerate (the music in the morning is very zen and therefore not disturbing at all) but the majority seem to agree on the lack of comfort and above all, for my part, the lack of cleanliness. The rooms are very simple but no problem there. On the other hand, bathroom with small face towels, no bath sheets, lots of cobwebs. Hop a little vacuum cleaner and duster and we're done. Well, you have to unmake the beds before leaving, but here too, oh surprise, room 1 the mattress is moldy, room 2 the mattress pad is immaculate with blood! The mattresses are very worn and therefore sagging. We stayed 3 days so 2 nights. No sweeping of the dining room. As for the dresser, it is loaded with plates but they are full of bread crumbs and sawdust, due I think to worms that have lodged in the wood. Nothing serious in short but here too a good cleaning would be more than necessary. The freezer in which the ice trays are located is filled with bread crumbs. The lids are not properly placed on the bins, ... There is a very nice view through the window of the room but again no cleanliness. Lots of dead animals, dust. Housekeeping doesn't seem to be their strong suit. No problem, a cleaning lady could take care of it. The establishment was taken over 4 years ago but a good refresh seems necessary, even urgent! 19/10/2024: The place could be exceptional, except that the dormitories are not up to standard. Beds are crammed together, with little or no room to drop backpacks into the spaces. Place it under the bed, we forget, the dust does not have to be removed often. No bedside table, only one coat rack at the entrance (practical for 10 people...). No fire detector (it's just obligatory), no emergency lighting unit (obligatory). Insufficient number of toilets, fortunately, there is one in the street and public 20m away. A shower for 10. Phew, the meal was excellent.

31/08/2024: Super location, very nice owner and staff and fantastic views above this valley in the Ardeche. Also live music every Friday.

30/08/2024: Splendid view (although they put us in a corner even though we had reserved and pretended that a table with a bird's eye view was reserved when that was not the case) Attractive menu but the welcome from the manager made us leave the table when taking our order. When you work in this sector of activity these things are prohibitive. Next

04/08/2024: Accueil souriant, pizza excellentes, la carte propose des pizza classiques mais aussi de terroir. Il y a également des gratins de ravioles de Romans. Les desserts ne sont pas en reste, les pizzas se déclinant aussi en dessert, miam. Je recommande vivement

24/07/2024: Excellent homemade dish, very good pizza, welcome and local Ardèche ice creams that are PERFECT and unrivaled.

02/09/2024: Camping as pleasant as ever, shady location, pleasant swimming pool as well as the bar where the staff is friendly. Very clean sanitary facilities. The river which passes at the foot of the campsite is very easy to go down by canoe (allow 4 hours going there straight away😜)

24/10/2024: Delicious pancakes...thanks to the young and kind cook. The same cannot be said of the owner waitress who did not "drop" a smile all evening, a cold and distant welcome even giving the feeling that she was being taken away......!!! What a shame with such a pleasant setting!!!

10/09/2024: After being refused a restaurant I was directed to Estello and what a nice surprise. Super friendly waiters, they knew how to put me at ease even though I came alone. I chose the entire menu with the suggestions of the moment: a delight! The salmon tartare, Ardèche trout and fondant, flawless! Thank you, I'm happy to have taken the plunge of a solo restaurant at your place!

05/09/2024: Dinner on September 2. “Amateurs” Endless waiting for very disappointing dishes! (very high price). A trap that will be part of bad memories.. Forever 🙂‍↕️

28/07/2024: I love Subway but the portions put in the sandwich are minimal. I've rarely seen so little in a Subway sandwich when I made a lot of them.
