29/10/2025: We had lunch on the terrace of the "Brasserie Ducale" restaurant in Charleville-Mézières during our cycling trip along the Meuse in June. The friendly and welcoming staff greeted us warmly. The menu is classic, but the dishes are varied: the beef tartare, perfectly prepared, and a refreshing salad (melon, watermelon, avocado, cucumber, ham, and cherry tomatoes) were all delicious and generous portions, and the service was impeccable. The dishes were served with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant for cyclists. Excellent value for money.

04/02/2026: The setting is exceptional, but the food is disappointing. The amuse-bouche consisted of two 2cm pieces of knackwurst with a teaspoon of beetroot. Very limited. The rest of the meal was no better. The portions were very small. The staff, however, were very friendly and professional.

25/01/2026: Visiting Sedan for the weekend, we took advantage of the half-board rate to eat at this establishment. The service was perfect, with two very professional waiters. The food was excellent, and the setting and dining room were magnificent. In short, a wonderful discovery!

08/03/2026: The wines and the waitress's friendliness were the only positive aspects of this establishment, which had a good reputation several years ago. We paid €260 for four people, including a 14-year-old and a 10-year-old. The plates were all nearly full due to improper cooking, and for the price, the taste should have been better. What a waste of money! It's a real shame; we regretted our choice and strongly advise against going there.

07/03/2026: Average food, poor value for money. However, the service and wine selection made up for it. A red Macon from Maison Regnard is recommended for those who appreciate fine food. Many thanks again to the young lady who served us for her courtesy, professionalism, and lovely smile.

The decor and atmosphere were all about love, I loved it! 🥰 The special Valentine's Day menu was delicious... quality ingredients and superb presentation! Absolutely nothing to complain about... the same goes for the appetizer platter and cocktails for two. We had a wonderful evening, enjoying a delicious meal 🥰 with very kind and pleasant staff. 23/02/2026: Served hot chocolate advertised at €3.50, but charged €3.70 with Coca-Cola, where the advertised price was the same as the price paid. The table needed cleaning, it wasn't very clean, and the drink trays were stained with ketchup. Hygiene needs improvement; disappointed with our visit.

10/03/2026: We were served quickly, there were only 5 of us in the restaurant. The only major drawback was the cold crepe: the cheese wasn't melted inside. I pointed this out to the waitress who offered to reheat it… well, when you only have 5 customers you serve it hot, what must it be like when it's crowded????? It's a real shame to be so unprofessional, Mr. Chef.

15/02/2026: Excellent welcome, we were seated in the cellar, but it was very chilly. We ordered a Valentine's Day cocktail, and our main courses arrived just as quickly. No drinks were offered. My potatoes in the goat cheese salad (without goat cheese, as requested 😆) were cold. The lighting was poor, making it difficult to see what was on the plates. Nevertheless, the portions were very generous, and the staff were truly excellent. I could have bothered them by sending the dish back, but I didn't want to. It's just that the dish arrived far too quickly.

04/02/2026: Third order in a year when I'm in the area and it's always the same: no white sauce, the meat isn't bad, well-filled but incredibly salty, and the fries are always cold upon delivery... I rarely get a kebab where you can't even taste the white sauce, which is a shame! They could do better, I think ;)

22/03/2026: The staff is very unpleasant, especially the waiters who felt entitled to come and yell at us at our table for a mistake made by THEM (please refrain from pointing the finger at a customer and accusing them of something they didn't do, thank you very much). The wok chef made a mistake with our order and mixed up everyone else's plates. I ended up with my vegetables but another customer's meat. The selection of desserts and the quality of the food are not commensurate with the price charged at the register. Furthermore, we waited 20 minutes for a waiter just to order drinks.
