12/11/2025: The food was delicious. The waitstaff was very friendly. The woman behind the bar, however, wasn't as friendly. The food was good quality, and despite it being busy, there wasn't a long wait. It's a cozy restaurant with reasonable prices. Reservations are recommended on weekends. There are also plenty of vegetarian options.

10/11/2025: Excellent restaurant, we were warmly welcomed with our dog and we enjoyed a delicious meal. Reasonable prices. I recommend it.

08/11/2025: A very nice restaurant. We arrived too early for dinner, as we couldn't get into our holiday home yet, so we were able to join them for a drink. The food was delicious and the price was great. Friendly service. Unfortunately, only French was spoken, not English.

17/08/2025: If we had visited the restrooms first, we probably would have never eaten. Other dishes were undoubtedly better than the one we chose, but we remain skeptical. The children's menu was not displayed, which isn't a children's menu, but rather a dish. I'm not denigrating it, but I don't recommend it either.

22/12/2025: A restaurant I love! A warm atmosphere where I enjoy myself every time, with comforting and hearty dishes, not to mention the always impeccable service, with a smile and attention to detail. I go back as soon as I can!

20/12/2025: After leaving Rethel 6/7 years ago, I went back yesterday, feeling nostalgic. We decided to go to Kervan, a place I really liked during my high school years. We went there very often and loved it. But last night was a different experience. We arrived in large numbers (13) without a reservation. We were seated, and after being seated, we were repeatedly lectured, being told curtly that we should have made a reservation (we're talking about a kebab, remember, I didn't expect to set foot in a Michelin-starred restaurant). True, but in that case, why were we accepted and seated? If we had been told it wasn't possible without a reservation, we would have gone elsewhere; there was no problem with that. But they accepted us and then were rude throughout the meal, repeatedly insisting that we should have made a reservation in a very curt and unpleasant tone. Following this, we ordered our meals. The service was quick, however, my daughter's drink was missing and only arrived at the end of the meal. My brother ordered grenadine syrup, which arrived without water. We had to ask for a pitcher of water, a request that seemed complicated since the waitress gave us a displeased look. The pitcher of water (lukewarm) only arrived halfway through the meal. My brother, having asked for a plate of fries because he wasn't very hungry, was served a plate of kebab. When he told the waitress that this wasn't what he had ordered, she froze in front of us for several seconds as if she Was she waiting for him to change his mind and eat his kebab plate to please her? Then she retorted, "I wrote down kebab plate," then turned on her heel and left without a word. When the waitress brought our plates, she smacked one of them in my daughter's face and said, "Watch out, darling." She didn't even apologize or ask if she was okay. As for the food, I was very disappointed. The kebab had no taste whatsoever. Six or seven years ago, it was delicious, but now the quality has drastically declined. I've never eaten such a bland kebab in my life, a taste comparable to frozen kebab from the supermarket. The bread tore everywhere; it was almost impossible to eat without getting it all over yourself. Even with all the effort in the world to hold it together, it offered no resistance. The price would be reasonable if the kebab and service were of good quality, but that's definitely not the case. Very disappointed, I'm not likely to set foot in that place again anytime soon.

29/10/2025: Good overall, but very disappointed by the cook who went out for a smoke and then went back to prepare the kebabs without washing his hands.

22/09/2024: Accueil plus pou moins chaleureux. Cependant assiette de charcuterie copieuse et gourmande. Pizza correcte. En revanche au niveau de la notes à 3 nous devions payer 45 euros à 3 soit pour une pizza et deux bières cela fait lourd. Or ce petit incident a été régler immédiatement. En revanche nous aimons beaucoup y aller manger avec mon conjoint

01/09/2024: Alright. Homemade and helpful staff. Yes it's a little expensive but when you want something well done, it's better to pay a little more and enjoy it.

17/11/2025: We returned to the restaurant again, and it was absolutely fabulous! The service, the welcome, the friendliness of the waitresses, the owner who was fantastic, and the chef(s) – a huge bravo! 👍👏👍👏

30/08/2025: A hotel that retains all the charm of an old family establishment. Here, you can chat with the bartender (who's also the owner) as if you'd known each other for twenty years. The welcome is warm, always ready to help with any questions. A pleasant surprise: they even serve Belgian beer, just like at home! 🍻 The location is ideal, just steps from the town's shops. It's a shame, however, that the town itself, although very beautiful, lacks a bit of activities. In short: a hotel full of character, where you quickly feel at ease, perfect for those looking for a friendly and authentic atmosphere.

29/10/2025: We had lunch on the terrace of the "Café du Musée" restaurant in Givet during our cycling trip along the Meuse in June. The friendly and helpful staff welcomed us warmly. The menu is classic, but the dishes vary; the daily special was sausage and mashed potatoes with a well-prepared pudding. Everything was delicious and plentiful, and the service was impeccable. The plates are served with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant for cyclists. Excellent value for money.

28/09/2025: Disappointment. Change of owner/management. Food: No longer trust what Google continues to list as a menu. No more accompanied pork chops..., gizzard salad, rump steak, rabbit leg, etc.... and no more floating island, etc., in the dessert section. Food presentation is very limited, even though the menu is longer than before! Service: Waiter surprised when pointed out that the menu isn't fresh, in other words, dirty! Atmosphere: This used to be a small, clean establishment. Today, the faux leather interior seats are scratched or torn with exposed foam! What a presentation for customers! The counter area had a problem at floor level - covered with thick brown sticky tape! ALL THIS TO TELL YOU THAT IT'S TIME TO GET YOURSELF TOGETHER. You benefit from a very nice location and a formerly very good reputation. Good luck to you!

13/12/2025: I want to commend this establishment for its professionalism and work during our moving-out party. They surprised us with their platters, verrines, and petit fours; everything was perfect, excellent value for money, and the owner and his daughter are super friendly. I highly recommend them.

13/11/2025: Regarding the campsite: one of the few open in winter! Thank goodness they're there! Beautiful location, quiet, private bathrooms, farm, playground, and a stream for children. Regarding the restaurant: Good and generous portions, friendly welcome by the fireplace.
