31/05/2026: A restaurant that doesn't look particularly flashy, with a discreet, even austere, facade, but the Asian cuisine is incredibly good, fragrant, and refined—a hundred times better than all-you-can-eat buffets—and very reasonably priced. A must for true Vietnamese food lovers. The service is very friendly and pleasant. I highly recommend it.

27/05/2026: I often eat Vietnamese food, and this was a delight—truly refined dishes! The chicken and beef were incredibly tender, and the sauces were excellent. I also recommend the homemade coconut pearls (a rare find!), the cold shrimp rolls, and the lychee-orange non-alcoholic cocktail.

25/04/2026: You immediately think of home-style cooking, like the kind you'd find in Vietnamese restaurants that opened in France in the early 1970s, with traditional recipes "just like at home," albeit heavily Westernized. The quality of the food, the owner's warm welcome, the slightly old-fashioned but charming decor, and the cleanliness of the place all contribute to a very pleasant experience. We'll definitely be back, and we're certainly not the only ones.

05/05/2026: I ordered takeout on a Saturday night. I was on a tight schedule, and despite my late call, they managed to squeeze me in between two orders—really great! The sushi was absolutely delicious, the chirashi bowl was incredibly generous and flavorful. The addition of fruit pieces was a fantastic idea; it added a lovely sweet and savory touch, and it looked beautiful too. Definitely a place to remember for anyone who wants to eat very well without breaking the bank!

14/02/2026: It's such a pleasure to see that this Vietnamese caterer is still around! I used to come here 17 years ago when I lived in the neighborhood, and they truly are the best in all of Bordeaux! Nothing has changed, neither the kindness of the owners nor the delicious food. I know Vietnam well, having been there several times, and this caterer is definitely the best of all. I hope they'll be there for a long time to come.

05/07/2026: Oops! I'm changing my review! It's not the same owner anymore, things have changed a lot! I'm very, very disappointed compared to before. The food has much less flavor and the system isn't the same. It's a real shame. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

01/07/2026: A great find at Tae Dong Gwan! I ordered the chicken ramyeon and really enjoyed the noodles—they were perfectly cooked, with a lovely texture and delicious flavor. The chicken was also excellent: tender, cooked to perfection, and melt-in-your-mouth. To go with it, I had a plum iced tea, which was also very good, refreshing, and fragrant. One small drawback, though: there were far too many ice cubes, which meant there wasn't much of a drink left. Also, the sauce seemed a little powdery and slightly less harmonious than the rest of the dish. This is a minor point, however, as the overall experience was delicious and makes me want to come back and try other dishes on the menu. Special mention goes to the waitress, who was incredibly kind and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. A great Korean restaurant to discover in Paris!

16/05/2026: Everything was filthy from floor to ceiling. Cobwebs, tables with threadbare, worn-out plastic "tablecloths," and baked-on carpets. The food was bland, with too many canned goods, and the back kitchen was in... the backyard, which was unsanitary. The POS terminal was greasy and dirty. In short, everything was filthy.

16/05/2026: Still as good as ever, it hasn't changed since the 80s, which is a good sign when the quality is there 😊 Generous and flavorful portions, authentic Vietnamese home cooking. The dining room isn't very big, so be sure to book ahead, especially in the evening and highly recommended for lunch. The spring rolls are delicious, as are the shrimp fritters, the caramelized pork, etc. I highly recommend it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
