29/11/2025: The most frustrating restaurant experience I’ve ever had.
I booked this restaurant through TheFork, where a specific menu was clearly displayed.
When we arrived, we were given a completely different menu — none of the listed dishes were available, and almost every option contained mushrooms. We don’t eat mushrooms, and the staff told us they could not remove a single ingredient from any dish. So we ordered the only two options left.
That’s when things became unbelievable.
The owner suddenly told us that we were “required” to order two dishes per person. When we asked where this rule was written, she said she decides when and to whom the rule applies, simply because “it’s her place”.
When we calmly tried to explain our situation, she literally shushed us, putting her finger to her mouth and laughing at us in front of her entire staff.
It was humiliating and completely unprofessional.
Then she invented another rule on the spot: unless we ordered two dishes each, we would have to pay an extra £15 per person.
This “fee” is not written anywhere, AND SHE AGREED THAT — not on the menu, not on the website, not on the booking confirmation.
Moments later, she kicked us out of the restaurant in the most disrespectful way, in front of everyone.
Not surprisingly, this was also the only empty restaurant in the entire Colmar.
Avoid this place at all costs.
Misleading, rude, unprofessional, and genuinely the worst dining experiences I’ve had in years.
29/11/2025: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
My partner and I booked this restaurant expecting to find an elegant atmosphere, respectful staff, and a level of hospitality befitting a Michelin-starred establishment. Unfortunately, the reality was completely the opposite.
We were literally turned away, rudely and humiliatingly, simply for asking to order only one dish each from the à la carte menu. According to the restaurant's "internal rules"—which, of course, are nowhere to be found on their website or The Fork—you are required to order either an appetizer + first course or a first course + dessert. This rule was imposed and enforced arrogantly, with no intention of finding a solution.
To make matters worse, the owner herself, instead of clarifying the situation professionally, decided to raise her voice and boast that "she makes the rules, whenever she wants." This was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely out of place, especially considering that the problem stemmed simply from the fact that, not finding any other dishes we liked, we wanted to order only two—a completely normal choice in a restaurant offering an a la carte menu.
We had never been treated with such rudeness and arrogance, let alone kicked out of a restaurant, let alone a Michelin-starred one. We left feeling bitter, disappointed, and genuinely shocked.

23/02/2026: A wonderful discovery at the entrance to Riquewihr. Tucked away at the end of a quiet alley, this restaurant offers refined and delicious cuisine, with generous portions and high-quality ingredients.
The setting is charming and the building itself is definitely worth a visit.
Just one small drawback: it wasn't very warm.
We had a very pleasant time and will certainly be back!
05/01/2026: Typical Alsatian atmosphere. The vegetarian menu is very popular, as is the children's dish. The dishes are revisited and balanced, with attention to flavor. Very friendly staff. Centrally located, but slightly out of the way, making it very quiet. Recommended.

We had the set menu, which was delicious and refined.
The dining room is beautiful with modern decor, the staff is friendly, and we felt right at home!
The only slight drawback was the lack of a designated baby changing area (the space was occupied by flowerpots). We managed between two sinks, but it wasn't very convenient. ;)
Otherwise, everything else was great, I highly recommend it!
08/01/2026: Successful New Year's weekend, chalets warm & cozy, beautiful walks taken, enjoyed visiting the ice rink in town (until 04.01.26).

17/11/2025: I would like to share my impressions following two consecutive visits to this establishment. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the dishes are expertly prepared, and the drinks are of perfectly respectable quality.
On my first visit, I sincerely thought the distant attitude of the person in the dining room was simply a fluke, perhaps a difficult day. I never imagined encountering the exact same coldness on my second visit. The person in the dining room, most likely the waitress since she also handles telephone reservations, adopts a disconcertingly rigid demeanor. From the moment I called to reserve a table, as was the case for both lunches, she imposed an abrupt tone, a fixed expression, and a presence that immediately created a palpable tension. This way of dealing with customers weighed down the atmosphere and removed any sense of enjoyment.
The prevailing impression is one of a brusque welcome, devoid of elegance and any attentiveness, accompanied by feigned sighs with every request, as if the service were an ordeal. Every interaction creates a genuine sense of unease, as even the smallest request seems to bother her, giving the impression that she would prefer not to have to deal with customers at all.
This is a village restaurant that could offer a very pleasant experience if the welcome reflected the quality of the food. The staff's appearance also contributes to the harmony of a meal. Dedicated, neat, and professional attire establishes immediate coherence. Here, everyday clothes reinforce the impression of a poorly structured service.
After sharing my second experience, several friends told me they had experienced the same thing and no longer plan to return. This recurring pattern clearly shows that this behavior is not limited to one customer, but is part of a general attitude.
I genuinely value the quality of the food; however, a restaurant is first and foremost a place to relax and enjoy oneself. This experience left a negative impression that contradicts this ideal. Therefore, I don't intend to return until the customer service staff are replaced so that the welcome finally reflects the consideration due to diners.

29/01/2026: We went at 9 am, two people. We ordered the breakfast menu: jam, bread or croissant, hot drink + orange juice for 6.90 euros. It was quite filling and delicious. Orders take a little while to arrive, and it's very crowded inside. The tables are a bit close together. The staff are friendly. Nevertheless, we were satisfied.
It's a good choice for breakfast.

It's a place I would like to go to again. I would choose and recommend it for breakfast, dessert/coffee, and meals.
The prices were also quite reasonable.
There are many options for breakfast, of course, generally in line with local customs.
