17/06/2026: Shame on this establishment.
During a World Cup match, my friends and I stopped at this bar. Racist remarks were made, and the staff did absolutely nothing. Deeply shocked by this situation, my friends and I left the bar, outraged by what we had just heard.
We then expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, who seemed to be present. His response was that he couldn't do anything about this kind of behavior. Excuse me?!
Isn't it precisely the role of a manager to ensure that all customers are treated with respect, to maintain a healthy environment, and to intervene in case of inappropriate behavior? His lack of reaction, as well as his accusatory tone, unfortunately gives the impression that he tolerates, or even defends, this type of attitude.
Shame on this establishment, which, through its inaction, contributes to normalizing and fueling such behavior.

We thought we had found a welcoming bar, but what a surprise it was to discover an openly racist clientele and a manager who was completely passive in the face of our comments about the situation!
After several racist insults, we decided to leave this bar, which was clearly full of reactionaries. We then decided to speak to the manager, who claimed he was powerless, even though he had the option of not tolerating the presence of this clientele.
We will obviously not be coming back and we will not recommend this bar to anyone.
Hoping that free spirits still exist.

23/06/2025: I grabbed a croissant when I didn't need one so I could sit down for 30 minutes at a table to work while I had an appointment at another store. The waitress came to me as soon as I got my laptop out, to kick me out because I hadn't paid at the cash register "on the premises." I couldn't get a refund for the croissant, or ask to pay the difference between the cash register and the takeaway. So I left as if I'd been accused of being a thief.
No humane gesture from the waitress, no "solution" from the salesperson. He hadn't told me there were two options; that's a mistake that happens, no problem.
But on the other hand, when you work in a service industry and forget to serve people who are honest and willing to pay, that's a problem.
1/5, I will never go to any Paul's again in France or abroad. Too bad I travel a lot, so sandwiches at the station were fine.

I do not wish to be judged on my appearance when I simply bought a product from you. If you are not capable, madam, of thinking before you speak, there is no need to open your mouth for nothing. 30/06/2026: Having been there yesterday, it was a disaster!! The manager was incredibly unpleasant, and what's more, she was assaulted, but speaking so rudely to customers and employees is unacceptable. I think she should find another job.
The toilets were filthy, the burgers were cold, the ice cream was cold as soon as it was served, and she refused to remake it. In short, it was terrible.
24/06/2026: Quiet on a Monday evening, air conditioning OK in the heatwave, the iced coffee was good.

15/04/2026: Honestly, Lolita isn't just a bartender, she's THE bartender. 🔥 Always on point, fast, efficient, with boundless energy. She runs the bar like no one else, always smiling, always in a good mood, even when things get crazy busy.
Her cocktails? Amazing. Her service? Impeccable. Her vibe? Unbeatable.
Seriously, Lolita is the GOAT, a true powerhouse, a monster in her field. If you're lucky enough to have her, your night is already a success. 💯
15/04/2026: The Shamrock is a really welcoming bar with a great atmosphere. The servers are super friendly, especially Lolita, who is incredibly kind to customers who are a bit indecisive, like me. I highly recommend it!!! 🔥🔥

24/07/2026: Today, July 24th, 2026, I went to McDonald's. I wanted a Royal Bacon to go, but it was inedible. The meat was dry and burnt, and seemed to have been cooked, recooked, and recooked again. I threw it in the trash. I've always been disappointed by this kind of food. I absolutely cannot recommend this establishment! Avoid it at all costs!

17/07/2026: I've never seen such unfriendly, unsmiling waiters as those at Paul Confluence, especially the little blonde one. She's always scowling; it's like she's there to do you a favor, not to serve the customers. What a disgrace!
03/07/2026: Visit to the Paul bakery in Lyon on June 27th, during a heatwave.
We ordered a Caesar salad and a chicken panini. To our surprise, the lettuce leaves were lukewarm and blackened, as if they had been heated.
In this context of intense heat, this is immediately concerning from a hygiene standpoint and regarding the cold chain (especially concerning the chicken).
We therefore asked for the salad to be replaced, which was done without difficulty.
However, when the new salad was served, it was also lukewarm.
I then pointed out to the cashier that this was not normal. She replied that the refrigerators were broken.
I then asked to speak to the manager. I explained to him that selling products requiring refrigeration under these conditions was unacceptable, especially in the heat, and that it could represent a real health risk, particularly for vulnerable people.
His response was very passive, stating that he had “sent emails to the manager” and that he couldn’t do anything more.
When I expressed my concern about maintaining the cold chain, particularly that if the service refrigerators were broken, there was no guarantee that the other equipment storing food in the back was working properly, I received no clear answer (which addresses my concerns!).
I finally requested a refund for the salad and panini, which was granted.
The interaction was quite unpleasant: the manager and one of the cashiers seemed unconcerned, displaying unprofessional behavior (smiles and eye-rolling), although another employee was very polite and respectful.
Ultimately, despite the refund, the experience leaves a very negative impression of the establishment’s hygiene standards and its handling of fresh produce.
Avoid this place! There are so many restaurants nearby; don't hesitate to eat elsewhere if you care about your health.
(We reported this problem to reception, but apparently it's not a major concern for them either.)

04/02/2026: This is a hotel I'd wanted to try for a long time, after staying at Villa Maia and Boscolo.
Access by car isn't necessarily the most convenient: you park on the quayside and then have to cross cobblestone streets that make pushing the stroller with our daughter a bit bumpy.
When we booked the day before, we had some issues with the online payment system, which was glitching, but we were assured by phone that the room was indeed reserved. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't showing up, but the staff was very responsive and quickly found us a room perfectly suited for a stay with a baby. A travel cot was brought to us shortly after we settled in.
We enjoyed the spa in the late evening: the pool was very pleasant and peaceful, and we also enjoyed a very relaxing visit to the sauna. Since two drinks were offered at the bar, we took advantage of them. Even though the planter's punch wasn't on the menu, Tanya didn't hesitate to make us several, which really contributed to the quality of the evening. We ordered snacks to go with our drinks: a charcuterie board, salmon, and a croque-monsieur, all quite good, with a special mention for the cream sauce that accompanied the salmon.
The room was comfortable, and we had a very restful night.
In the morning, we had breakfast in the courtyard in the center of the hotel: it felt like being outside while still being inside, in a truly lovely setting. The continental buffet was quite comprehensive (breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices), and the eggs Benedict were rather good.
Before leaving, we made a quick stop at the gift shop in search of a Guignol puppet… we ended up leaving with the hotel's lion, which we named Léon 😊
A very pleasant experience, despite a few minor hiccups quickly resolved by attentive and efficient staff.
27/01/2026: The hotel is a beautifully renovated place, incredible bar, restaurant area, great historic common spaces! Abundant breakfast, nicely decorated rooms. You might get issues reaching the hotel because it is situated in a pedestrian area - so don’t forget to call before you arrive to get a password for entering.
