28/01/2026: I've known this restaurant for a while now and I've never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the food is truly delicious, and the quality is excellent for a reasonable price. We ordered the royal couscous and merguez sausage, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and finished with a delicious mint tea 🍵 for good digestion. It's always a pleasure to eat there; I highly recommend it 😊

18/01/2026: Hello, As a regular customer since 2017/2018, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a small, family-run place where the couscous is simply delicious, cooked to perfection, and incredibly flavorful. In short, you get the picture: if you're in Strasbourg and craving couscous, this is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal! The gentleman who runs the restaurant is always very welcoming, and you feel right at home. He even takes the time to chat while still being attentive, and the service is incredibly fast, both in the dining room and the kitchen. I should also mention that the mint tea is absolutely delicious, and with a touch of pine nuts, it has a lovely roasted almond/hazelnut flavor. It's also wonderful 🥰 Thank you to L'Oriental Couscous for existing!

31/01/2026: Given the prices on the menu, I expected much better. The beef carpaccio appetizer was really small for the price (€16), and the meat was still frozen in places. I won't dwell on the addition of whole-grain mustard, a choice I don't agree with but respect. However, I do wonder about the difference in color of the meat between our two plates. For our main courses, we ordered the pasta carbonara and the calzone, both disappointments as well. They lacked flavor, and we were still hungry after finishing our plates.

30/01/2026: The person who greeted us was very welcoming and explained all the dishes clearly. The restaurant serves pasta and pizza as main courses; the menu is small but features only excellent ingredients. The photo shows the cacio e pepe pasta, which was absolutely incredible—simply put, I've never eaten such delicious pasta. I would gladly return. Thank you for this lovely experience!

26/03/2026: Good food and a warm welcome once it's open, but if you arrive for lunch and are 15 or 5 minutes early, the staff will turn you away because you can't enter the restaurant before 12:00 sharp—an absurdity, especially in winter when you have up to 10 people waiting in the cold until it's exactly 12! These could be customers just starting to order drinks, like an aperitif! It's no better at the security office! I find this organization very unprofessional!

15/03/2026: I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was immaculate: very clean, perfectly soundproofed, and furnished with high-quality amenities. You feel truly at home from the moment you arrive. If I had to find one small improvement, the presence of a refrigerator in the room would be a real plus. The staff, for their part, are impeccable: professional, attentive, and always available. The spa is also a major asset of the establishment: clean spaces, a soothing atmosphere, and very pleasant facilities for relaxation. In short, a high-quality stay that I highly recommend!

05/03/2026: Do not miss this charming true 4 star hotel with huge beautifully appointed rooms and enormous bathrooms, cozy robes, great beds and luxe linens. The cave like spa was great with a dry and steam sauna and a spa. Don’t miss their wonderful breakfast with cook to order eggs if you like. The bar/lounge area are quite large and a great place to relax. Soon they will also boast an in house restaurant. The staff made this property a stand out. The location is quiet. I hate to share this beautiful secret.

28/02/2026: Matsumotoya is the authentic Japanese restaurant to try in Strasbourg. The dishes are delicious and high-quality! The staff is responsive, friendly, and efficient. Every time we go, we leave feeling satisfied, happy, and fully satisfied. A must-try.

26/02/2026: We arrived on time, having made a reservation. Unfortunately, the table had been given to other customers. The waitress didn't bother to apologize or offer us an alternative to the inconvenience. We're disappointed.

22/02/2026: The room was a bit chilly. It would be worth considering heating the restaurant area a little before it opens at 7:45 pm.

26/02/2026: A place I stumbled upon while meeting a woman from Strasbourg, and it's well worth the detour. From producer to consumer! Delicious sauerkraut (both land and sea). The same goes for the homemade chocolate mousse. A lovely, very cozy spot.

26/03/2026: Lovely diverse menu with a little bit of everything for everyone. The staff were very attentive and the food was fantastic! We had the fish & chips and the servings were HUGE!!! Definitely get your money's worth here. Highly recommend! A+++++!!!!!

25/03/2026: Regardless of the fact it is near the Cathedral and an assumed tourist trap, I admittedly ate here during a downpour and in desperation of a dry place at dinnertime. Knowing it was in close proximity to the Cathedral gave me expectations (low ones) as tourist traps are always in the vicinity of monuments. But hey, I'm married, have kids who need to pee, and the rain is coming down. If not for that I would have avoided this place like the plague just because of the proximity to the Cathedral. I ordered the chicken Caeser, my wife had the french onion soup. My salad was garbage; the salad portions were all rough with brown ends. The chicken so stringy and fatty I needed a steak knife to get through them. My wife's french onion soup was worse. It didn't even resemble, nor taste, like what it should. The cheese on top of the soup was laid on a small piece of toast, like the cook didn't even care to make it look or taste right. The food at dinner was gross, overpriced, and what I expected from a place so close to the Cathedral. If you find yourself in a rainstorm and without close dinner options while outside this restaurant then I'd only recommend sucking it up and walking a few streets over in the rain to find something semi-decent.

04/03/2026: It's clear that this restaurant has unfortunately lost its ability to welcome and serve its customers politely and kindly. After several visits, I've noticed a general decline in service. There is one exception among the staff: a young mixed-race woman with dyed hair (red, I think?). She's truly amazing. She runs around serving an entire terrace all by herself, managing to clear tables quickly while other customers wait, etc. Bravo! As for the others, I unfortunately find there's a problem with the welcome, the attitude, and the respect. I've had to insist on a simple "hello" several times without receiving a response. I also had a minor altercation with a waitress at the register who refused to return my deposit for the jar I brought back. Thankfully, a discussion with another employee calmed things down and resolved the issue… What bothers me is arriving in the middle of service and seeing a ton of tables that aren't even cleaned or presentable, and having to play musical chairs to find a clean and inviting seat… Similarly, when you eat in, perhaps you could pay a little more attention to the cutlery and napkins you place on the customer's table. Throwing everything haphazardly onto the table, without any presentation or even taking the time to do it properly, suggests a serious lack of care and will likely affect the customer's experience… Please think about this… be a little more professional and work on this… it will only earn you extra points… thank you! Update to the comment, on 04/03/2026, following the Owner's response: I came during the last week of February 2026. The employee was indeed present. And I walked past today and she was definitely on your team. This is not a mistake. Thank you.

23/02/2026: As longtime customers, we regularly came for drinks whenever we were in Strasbourg. Unfortunately, our most recent visit will be our last. We ordered two Spritzes: the first tasted nothing like what was advertised but was drinkable, unlike the second, which was extremely sweet and had a strong chemical taste (like industrial candy). We mentioned this to the waitress, who offered to add passion fruit to improve the Spritz. Unfortunately, this didn't change the taste at all, and we couldn't drink it. When it came time to pay, we asked if anything could be done for the drink we hadn't finished, but this was refused because it was happy hour... The service was adequate, but the cleanliness is definitely not what it used to be (dirty glasses and restrooms), and the drinks are clearly not the same.

21/02/2026: Having tried several of their products, I'm unfortunately disappointed. In particular, I didn't enjoy the filled doughnuts at all: I found them bland and disappointing compared to my expectations. Furthermore, I think the prices are really high considering the taste and perceived quality. The only positive point was the warm and pleasant welcome.

17/02/2026: Still brand new, I was pleasantly surprised. The welcome is friendly and the quality of the products is excellent. There's something for everyone and you can also get takeout, so it's perfect.

13/02/2026: I ordered creamy mushroom pasta with chicken. The order taking service was very friendly, especially since what I wanted wasn't on the menu. Then, the speed was incredible; my order was ready in less than 15 minutes and tasted amazing. I recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic Italian flavors.
