18/04/2026: I thought I'd already eaten sauerkraut before going to this restaurant… but no! It was the first time I'd ever had REAL sauerkraut, with cabbage cooked in Riesling and a mild mustard on the side (not Dijon mustard, then)… the staff really took great care of their customers. Traditional, home-style cooking… a world away from tourist traps.

12/04/2026: This is a hidden gem downtown Strasbourg. It’s better to book the table, but we were lucky with walk-in. Food is traditional, homemade a tastes great.

13/06/2026: Lovely outdoor terrace. I stopped for a beer. Friendly service. €5 for a raspberry Kasteel during Happy Hour. It was excellent. Didn't try the food.

12/06/2026: I received a very warm welcome for lunch; I recommend the vol-au-vent, which was excellent.

27/06/2026: This restaurant was recommended to us on the free walking tour, and we went there in Petite France. It was a great choice. The tarte flambées were exquisite. We tried the mushroom tarte flambée, and it was incredible. We also tried a Spätzle Bouches la Reine, a typical Alsatian dish, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend eating at this establishment. As a side note, the tourist train passes by the terrace approximately every 30 minutes.

21/06/2026: Onion soup, burrata salad, pizza, and crème brûlée are something else entirely. The problem is the internet is very weak; you need to prepare some chats.

09/06/2026: Excellent place! The kebab meats are homemade, as is the kebab bread. The fries are cooked twice, making them extra crispy. I'll definitely be back or order delivery. Well done, team!

08/06/2026: Today I'm going to do laundry. I was preparing something to eat for myself. They were very quick and kind, and Chef Burak even prepared a special meal for me. Thank you so much! It's going well.

27/05/2026: The local food was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was good. It was a bit pricey, but considering it's a tourist area, that's acceptable.

23/05/2026: We were refused service despite there being available tables in the restaurant. We requested only a dessert (chocolate fondant) and a glass of wine, but were told that this was not sufficient for being seated. Although it was already evening, people had already had dinner, and there were still free seats available. As a result, we lost time and had to look for another place. 09/04/2026: I loved my royal couscous to go. Absolutely no complaints. Flavorful, delicious, and generously portioned. The broth was excellent, and the meat was very good. If I may, the carrots could have been cooked a touch longer, and there could have been a bit more zucchini. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

Far removed from fleeting trends, Bénédicte Vogel, the third generation of this Strasbourg family business, will always welcome you with a smile, as will her team. They offer pastries, brioches, and sweet buns for breakfast, desserts including the famous Bourbon (chocolate crème brûlée), as well as fruit-based options depending on the season, and savory treats for your aperitifs, such as their renowned kougelhopf with bacon. And for chocolate lovers, their iconic Easter bunnies are a must-try (they even have white chocolate ones for those who prefer them).

25/04/2026: Great place! We ordered strawberry tare, barista coffee dessert and massive arc-en-ciel. We didn't even expect how delicious it would be. We will definitely come here again 🤩

16/05/2026: I'd been wanting to try the cake for ages, like ages, but every time I went there it was sold out. But I hadn't given up hope 😂 And this time I was lucky enough to taste it, and I don't regret the wait at all 😅 It's absolutely delicious. A bit pricey for a cake, but you're mostly buying the name, and the flavors were definitely there.

02/06/2026: Stopped in for a drink or two, little bite to eat It's basically a pub, same gritty atmosphere Very nice staff, good drinks and bites This is where we were introduced to our new favorite drink a Lillet Spritz. Brought 3 bottles home to Canada. I even went around the corner mid-drink, got my haircut and returned to finish. Nice location.
