28/01/2026: I've known this restaurant for a while now and I've never been disappointed. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the food is truly delicious, and the quality is excellent for a reasonable price. We ordered the royal couscous and merguez sausage, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and finished with a delicious mint tea 🍵 for good digestion. It's always a pleasure to eat there; I highly recommend it 😊

18/01/2026: Hello, As a regular customer since 2017/2018, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's a small, family-run place where the couscous is simply delicious, cooked to perfection, and incredibly flavorful. In short, you get the picture: if you're in Strasbourg and craving couscous, this is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal! The gentleman who runs the restaurant is always very welcoming, and you feel right at home. He even takes the time to chat while still being attentive, and the service is incredibly fast, both in the dining room and the kitchen. I should also mention that the mint tea is absolutely delicious, and with a touch of pine nuts, it has a lovely roasted almond/hazelnut flavor. It's also wonderful 🥰 Thank you to L'Oriental Couscous for existing!

09/04/2026: I had an excellent stay at the Hotel Le Bouclier d'Or. The staff were incredibly attentive, pleasant, and always available. The hotel is very well located, and the rooms are very clean and charming. Thank you to the entire team. I highly recommend it.

18/04/2026: I thought I'd already eaten sauerkraut before going to this restaurant… but no! It was the first time I'd ever had REAL sauerkraut, with cabbage cooked in Riesling and a mild mustard on the side (not Dijon mustard, then)… the staff really took great care of their customers. Traditional, home-style cooking… a world away from tourist traps.

12/04/2026: This is a hidden gem downtown Strasbourg. It’s better to book the table, but we were lucky with walk-in. Food is traditional, homemade a tastes great.

25/04/2026: It doesn't have the old world charm but it is light and bright with outstanding service and delicious dishes, some very authentic to the region. We were all thrilled with our food. One was the risotto and one was a roast pork with potatoes, sauerkraut and apples in a rich broth. My mouth waters just describing the food. You will be happy eating here.

29/04/2026: This restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's definitely worth a visit. I want to thank Irma for her warm welcome and cheerful disposition. The place is relatively small, but that's part of its charm—a cozy and functional space. There's a bit of a wait for the food, but it gives you time to digest because the portions are generous and high-quality. From the very first bite, we immediately sensed the chef's mastery of the ingredients, which makes the experience truly unique.

16/05/2026: An excellent choice if you have the budget. The prices may seem high at first glance, but everything becomes clear after the first bite. I personally opted for the chicken tagine, and it was a fantastic discovery. An absolutely delicious sweet and savory combination, and very generous portions. High-quality dishes in generous quantities. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and the waitresses are very pleasant thanks to their gentle service (you'll understand why). I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: Bland and utterly lacking in flavor for a so-called royal couscous at €35 per person! On a Saturday night... the place was empty. Far too expensive for what was served. No side dishes with the couscous. No generosity whatsoever. The service was soulless, provided by people who barely spoke.
