15/02/2026: Hello, we spent one night in this hotel. Comfortable, well-heated, clean linens and room. The food was excellent, the Valentine's Day menu was a real treat (the chef should definitely stick to his profession!). Breakfast was also fantastic. Everything was delicious and plentiful. The only slight drawback was the welcome (upon arrival). The young man was charming but a bit shy; he shouldn't lose confidence. If he believes in himself, he'll succeed. (No criticism, just kindness). Overall, we highly recommend this establishment. The Charentaises 😉🤟

15/02/2026: A very pleasant hotel. We received a very warm welcome for the February 14th weekend. The evening menu and service were excellent, with beautifully prepared and presented dishes. The relaxation area is very pleasant, comfortable, and clean. The staff were very friendly throughout. We highly recommend it.

30/12/2025: When I opened my sandwich, I discovered mold inside. A clear lack of hygiene; it really doesn't inspire confidence. A very disappointing experience.

27/12/2025: An impromptu evening at Le Petit Creux where we found unparalleled good cheer, a huge thank you for this wonderful moment of sharing among warm and kind people, delicious homemade food, laughter and singing with Béatrice, a friend of the house… I highly recommend it, a must-try! 28/03/2026: New owner, very welcoming, smiling, polite, and responsive. Excellent team. Wide selection and very reasonable prices. Everything is great! Plus, with the new terrace, we can enjoy the sunny days; it's very pleasant with the church across the street. It's perfect! Loyal customers!

11/05/2026: Nice little cafe with delicious coffee. You can also sit on the large terrace in front of the cafe. There is also a comfortable and cozy spot at the back of the cafe. Friendly service of the purest kind.

13/04/2026: A very beautiful hotel, the facade is magnificent. I understand it's a historical monument for the city. It's definitely worth seeing. The welcome is truly excellent; we were extremely well received. The breakfast is perfect. The only downside (and this is just my opinion) is the recent renovation of the rooms. I ended up in a U-shaped room, which is rather poorly laid out, but in this case, the staff isn't to blame. It's the original design. Regarding the renovation, there are a few practical aspects that could be improved. And a bit of color and character could make the room a little more inviting. In such a beautiful town in the Corrèze region, I found it a bit of a shame to have such bland decor.

12/04/2026: The kiosk closes at 9:30 PM. I've been trying to call since 8:30 PM, but no one is answering. I don't know what time to call to order a pizza…

01/03/2026: Raclette pizza with a crust that was too thin, the pizza fell right off. Surprised to see the raclette cheese was extra; I'm in Europe and I'd seen that before 🤣🤣😂 On the plus side, the young lady was pleasant and courteous, the potatoes were good, and the raclette cheese was okay.

08/05/2026: There are still some clean, pleasant, inexpensive hotels where they might rip you off with an exorbitant breakfast price. Well, the Hotel de France is one of them. I recommend this reasonably priced hotel; you feel right at home.

05/05/2026: New management since May 1st, 2026, and it's clearly made all the difference. Young people took over a few days ago, and the welcome is fantastic, the products are high-quality, local, and well-prepared. Well done! 👍

09/03/2026: Disappointing, had to wait over an hour before food was available. In the meantime our table was reserved for those who had pre booked their food for later in the evening. Their were, as we saw when we were leaving, other tables where we could have eaten outside the designated eating area. It is not a genuine Irish bar but a "canned" version for tourists. This was evident as the TV was used by the disco and the games and darts machines were switched off fr the disco also on a night when Ireland were playing rugby in the six nations. We went to a lovely restaurant across the square and then returned to a genuine Irish bar two doors up from the Shamrock to drink Guinness and enjoy the rugby on their TV.

16/02/2026: There was a karaoke night. It's a family-friendly karaoke place, and I went with my three-year-old daughter—it was my choice, she's my daughter. She was sitting quietly drinking her Coke when a fight broke out. I grabbed her to protect her from getting hit, and the bar manager had the nerve to call me a bad mother and tell me my daughter shouldn't be there, even though she just loves to sing. They'd heard her sing more than once, by the way. So, don't go there with your children, as they're frowned upon. On what's supposed to be a fun night, some people with bad intentions drink too much, and they practically blame it on my child being there—unbelievable! I'm a regular, and I'm very disappointed by this behavior.

21/04/2026: The waitresses were very friendly and professional, but the double coffee was excessively expensive. Are we on the Champs-Élysées or in Brive?

21/04/2026: Price far too high for the location, service, and products offered. €5 for a coffee. Without mini-meals, we're not in Venice, but in Brive-la-Gaillarde.
