14/03/2026: A few years ago, while traveling from Alsace to the Landes region, I booked a room at "La Coloniale" bed and breakfast. I arrived around 5 p.m. on a Sunday evening in mid-October. The weather was rainy, dark, and gloomy, and there was no one at reception. I called the mobile number I had and reached someone who I was clearly bothering. The gentleman was invited to a friend's house for drinks. Barely polite, he questioned my reservation date. He did, however, explain how to access a room (Prune) which wasn't the one I had booked (Perle). There was no one to suggest a restaurant for dinner, so no dinner. The next morning, still no host, I dealt with a housekeeper, who was quite pleasant, for breakfast and to settle the bill for my stay. Conclusion: disappointed by this reception which lacked the most basic respect, this is not an address I recommend.

01/07/2026: Why are more than half the ordering windows turned off? Sure, there's no wait to be seated, but you have to queue to order. And it's so hot in the place; we had to eat outside on a sweltering evening at 9:00 PM. Luckily, the staff are very friendly.

18/05/2026: A family outing for 28 people, planned only in the morning for dinner, yet we received a warm and friendly welcome, with excellent service and no waiting between courses. A varied culinary selection, featuring both local and international dishes. They offered adjustments for special diets and the portions were perfect. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal without exception. A huge thank you again!

11/05/2026: Nice little cafe with delicious coffee. You can also sit on the large terrace in front of the cafe. There is also a comfortable and cozy spot at the back of the cafe. Friendly service of the purest kind.

05/05/2026: I ate there: it's really expensive for what it is. The menu doesn't justify the price, and the desserts were clearly frozen… what a shame. I strongly advise against it; it's not good value for money.

03/06/2026: Stayed for two nights whilst motorhome was being repaired in a local garage. The proprietress was very kind and understanding of our situation and went out of her way to help us with accommodation until our van was repaired. Hotel is ideally situated right in the centre of the village and is charming and traditionally French. I would thoroughly recommend a stay when visiting this lovely town.

22/05/2026: During a cycling trip, our group of 15 spent the night at the hotel and had breakfast the next morning before setting off again. We were delighted with the warm welcome from the owner, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was very generous. I will definitely return for a few days sometime before next autumn.

13/05/2026: Beautiful Louis XIII style dining room. A stopover during a visit to Aubassine. Impeccable and pleasant service. Good food. Excellent dessert; the walnut ice cream soufflé was a particular highlight. I will return and I highly recommend it.

09/05/2026: There were 17 of us, and we sampled a variety of dishes. We all unanimously agreed that we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance, the service, the flavors, and the quality of the food served make this establishment truly deserving of its 5 stars.

30/12/2025: When I opened my sandwich, I discovered mold inside. A clear lack of hygiene; it really doesn't inspire confidence. A very disappointing experience.

27/12/2025: An impromptu evening at Le Petit Creux where we found unparalleled good cheer, a huge thank you for this wonderful moment of sharing among warm and kind people, delicious homemade food, laughter and singing with Béatrice, a friend of the house… I highly recommend it, a must-try! 14/06/2026: We arrived at 3pm and were served. The staff were lovely, the service was quick, and the dishes—Italian salad and Périgord salad—were very good.

31/05/2026: Main.\nBar in the area where a lot of locals come for beers , drinks and ice cream. A nice place to take a break in between watching the horse races and competitions. Minimum ten euros to use credit card. They also have food and plenty of outdoor seating.

10/06/2026: Very disappointed. Attractive prices for the daily special, but it wasn't good. The dessert was frozen and microwaved. Shameful. A friendly waiter trying to salvage the situation while there was an argument in the kitchen right in front of the customers.

16/05/2026: This restaurant is definitely one to avoid. The prices are exorbitant for the main courses, and for example, the apple clafoutis dessert was just thrown onto a plate. If you want a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream, it's extra. The staff is unfriendly and acts like you're bothering them. The entire staff in the restaurant is unpleasant. They should find another line of work. In short, I won't be going back.

12/12/2025: A splendid homemade wild boar stew! Homemade dessert... This is the second time we've been there with my son, and we've never been disappointed!
