04/12/2025: We came for lunch, for my birthday. We received a very warm welcome, we ordered the set menu, and the chard gratin was fabulous, and the apple speculoos tiramisu was delicious. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.

01/09/2026: A superb place I stumbled upon last month and visited again at the end of August! The owner does practically everything: cooking, serving, and chatting with the customers. And what's more, he's incredibly friendly; it feels like we've known him forever! A daily special just like home cooking at an unbeatable price. We'll definitely be back!

24/06/2026: A great stopover for motorcycle touring. The hotel is well located, with easy access and secure parking for motorcycles. The owner is very friendly. The rooms are nice, with very comfortable beds and are very clean. If we're ever back in the area, we'll definitely stay at the Hotel Saint-Jean again.

07/06/2026: I highly recommend the Hotel Saint-Jean. Its location is ideal, close to everything, and there's parking. The welcome was warm, the rooms were spacious and air-conditioned, with a shower and toilet, and very clean. It was very quiet... a great place to stay, I would gladly return. Isabelle Oriol

05/01/2026: The food is excellent, but the portions are very small, which is a shame. The same goes for the wine glasses. Ours were definitely less than 12cl. How can you expect to build customer loyalty with a business like that? The service is adequate, but not up to the standard of the food. They ask us how we did without even looking at us—that says it all about their attention! 😅 In short, remember, food isn't everything!

21/08/2026: A great setting for a great meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the Friday Burger and the complimentary dessert, a perfect way to end the meal (not forgetting the local beer). Highly recommended!

14/09/2026: We came to celebrate a birthday, but we ended up leaving without even ordering. The owner, who was also serving, was extremely unpleasant. She repeatedly eavesdropped on our private conversations and interrupted with inappropriate remarks, even going so far as to berate an elderly customer. We were simply discussing the fact that there was cigarette smoke in the dining room and that the cook could have smoked somewhere other than the kitchen, which seemed completely unacceptable to us. Faced with the owner's attitude and this unacceptable situation, we decided to leave the establishment. A very bad experience, especially for a meal that was supposed to be a pleasant occasion for a birthday celebration.

13/09/2026: We had a wonderful evening with an excellent meal and appreciated service that deserved a tip. Plenty of space on the terrace, inside, and upstairs; a lovely atmosphere with lots of smiling and satisfied customers.

15/09/2026: We were lucky enough to eat at this crêperie in August: a very warm welcome, crêpes that would make the Bretons envious (yes, they admit it themselves!), and local produce (it's the first time we've seen a list of their suppliers in a restaurant – what a wonderful recognition of their work! And there's nothing like it to guarantee they're using quality ingredients!). The couple is as welcoming as they are passionate about what they do, and they even take the time to explain their methods and give you tips on places to visit! In short, we had a fantastic time! You can go there without hesitation and trust your taste buds completely – they won't be disappointed! Since they know each other and aren't in competition (as they're not in the same line of work), I'd like to take this opportunity to mention the owners of the charming gîte where we stayed: the Daniel Leclerc family in Polisot: a wonderful welcome and a charming gîte! Florence, Laurent and their children.

25/08/2026: An excellent experience in every way. The crepes are delicious, both sweet and savory. Their authentic flavor transports you to Brittany. The place is very welcoming, and the service is incredibly fast and friendly. We had eaten in just 30 minutes, something I greatly appreciate when sightseeing.

20/08/2026: Fantastic experience, beyond expectations. Father and daughter (7 years old), neither of whom had any experience in horseback riding, went on a one-hour ride today. It is highly recommended, even for beginners; the horses follow a route on their own and listen well to the owner. That being said, it is anything but boring. We walked through the woods, on the rocks with spectacular views over the Ardèche, we climbed and descended, and as a grand finale, we even trotted a bit. The owner provides commentary and explanations in French (which I don't understand), but I imagine it's about the surroundings. The most important point to note regarding trotting is that you hold on tighter to the saddle. It is quite possible that I would have wanted to do this twice during the holiday.

16/08/2026: Fantastic! 👍 My partner and I went today and loved the two-hour ride! A bit of trotting was also included, which was really great. We were well guided from beginning to end and were very attentive if we had any concerns about trotting or the correct techniques for handling the horse. I highly recommend it. Thank you again, and thank you for all your explanations during the ride; you helped us discover a beautiful corner of the Ardèche region! 😀
