28/07/2026: Perfect place after the steam train ride, the meal is excellent, the choice of dishes is varied and plentiful.
23/07/2026: The chestnut salad was sold with pieces of Tomme cheese that were nowhere to be found; I inquired and it was mixed with a sauce that resulted in a bland dish.
The salad leaves were blemished and lacked freshness.
Personally, I would avoid this place.
The waitresses were pleasant and smiling, but that didn't translate to the food.

The flavors were varied and delicious. My wife particularly enjoyed the Vercors, and I savored the strawberry-verbena. My sister-in-law chose mango. We all ordered the homemade whipped cream—a real treat! 👌
30/06/2026: Every summer, we eagerly return to this ice cream shop and are never disappointed! The ice cream is absolutely delicious, among the best we've ever tasted. In addition to the exceptional quality of the products, the staff is always very welcoming, smiling, and warm. It's a real pleasure to come here every year. Thank you for your kindness and for these wonderful, indulgent moments!

Small, rustic dining room.
It's true that the service is basic and doesn't meet the standards of modern restaurants, but at least you can feel the owners' genuine pleasure in welcoming guests.
Excellent plate of homemade charcuterie, a quality Ardèche dish "just like Grandma used to make," tasty and generous.
Highly recommended.

08/04/2026: We were delighted with our lunch today. There were four of us, and we hadn't booked. The food was excellent, all homemade. The presentation of the dishes was lovely, and the waitress was very pleasant and smiling. A nice touch was the complimentary homemade digestif offered by the owner.
18/12/2025: Fantastic restaurant where the owner welcomes you warmly and delights your taste buds no matter what dish you order. Everything we ate was delicious and the portions were generous. I highly recommend it. This is a restaurant you absolutely must discover because Sulivan loves to please his customers, and he does it all with a smile. Our Christmas meal on December 18th was a real treat, and at the same price as every day...thank you, Sussu!

It's not worth McDonald's.

I strongly advise against it.
For once, the dessert was cheaper elsewhere in another restaurant. The wine is still at the winery, I think.
The waiter showed no motivation or effort whatsoever.
Well, he did apologize, though.

31/05/2026: We were a group of bikers staying for one night. We received an excellent welcome, a very good dinner (half-board), and a truly delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, our late arrival meant we couldn't use the spa!
Highly recommended.
26/05/2026: We stopped here yesterday during our motorcycle trip and it was absolutely perfect: a warm welcome, a delicious local meal with homemade dishes, and a generous homemade breakfast. The room was lovely, I highly recommend it.

11/07/2026: We were very happy to have stopped at this restaurant to enjoy some excellent food. For dessert, the ice cream made by an artisan ice cream maker was of very high quality. Excellent value for money and a very friendly welcome. Thank you!
09/07/2026: From the set menu or à la carte, we sampled the Greek Salad, the Oriental-style Calamari, the Veal Shank, and the Caramel Cream; all these homemade dishes were excellent. The dining room is very cool with its Ardèche stone walls. A pleasant experience during a meal.

27/08/2025: At the beginning of summer, I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant with my family. The owner was very friendly, and we enjoyed a long chat with her during our visit. The menu looked absolutely delicious. Each dish featured local ingredients. I personally enjoyed a succulent goat cheese and honey salad with seasonal vegetables and goat cheese from a producer near Vals—it was divine. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Vals; it's well worth the trip.
