25/09/2024: The Block out Strasbourg room has drastically lost service, no evening catering for 1 month and even paninis are absent. The staff tries to apologize as best they can. Half of the men's showers have been failing for months. Even the ridiculously expensive towel racks are not in acceptable condition. Let's also talk about the opening which is at a very uneven level depending on the week and clearly slowed down since this summer. Fortunately the temperature has dropped because the air conditioning, although announced as repaired, cannot cool the room, with temperatures sometimes exceeding 30°. In conclusion, a place has at least recommended against it until real actions are taken. A long-time subscriber.

21/09/2024: The routes are really good, even if I found some of the grades a little risky (do not take into account slopes). And, something that absolutely horrified me, I saw a COCKROACH walking around on the carpets... In terms of hygiene, it's not great. People were sitting on these rugs, and the idea that cockroaches could be caught there scandalizes me. Everything should be cleaned properly given the attendance (open doors)...

25/09/2024: Loved this cafe/pub in "La Petite France". We stopped in several times for a pint and a Aperol Spritz along with an amazing delicious hamburger and goat cheese salad! Loved sitting outside and enjoying the weather!

06/08/2024: Venus en couple en fin de journée par découverte. Une carte vraiment variée notamment au niveau des bières nous n'avons pas été déçus ! Un menu peu cher pour un burger, frites soft en étudiant pour une qualité au rendez-vous (gros point pour le burger végétarien). Une décoration conviviale et bien agencée, une hygiène sans défault. Même si le service de départ fut lent nous avons passé un excellent moment ! Une serveuse gentille et à l'écoute je recommande !!

10/09/2024: Food not bad but very expensive. The toilets deserve a good refresh and a good cleaning, splashes on the walls and the door, roller door and toilet seat which are rattling, the lock of one of the 2 doors completely torn off, smell of urine....(woman's side) . Let's hope the kitchens aren't in the same state. We have often gone to this restaurant but we will not go again. He is not up to the task

09/07/2024: I admire the quick-thinking of putting a pint of lager at 3.90 during Happy Hours. This remarkable technical gesture is magnified by the tranquil atmosphere of the place which galvanizes souls, hearts and bellies. The welcoming, smiling and completely fair service even gives me hope in humanity. But beware ! No happy hours during sports competition periods. This mistake leaves a stain on the bar and on the bill.

07/09/2024: Despite pleasant service, the food was just ok - you expect a little more from a restaurant. PIZZA PASTRIES ARE INDUSTRIAL. 17€ for a vegan pizza that I could have made myself, it's really very expensive. If you want a pizza I recommend other restaurants that are real pizzerias! Hoping my comment will motivate homeowners to do more things themselves!

23/08/2024: The pasta and toppings are quality in their own right, but I find this place misleading. We offer you 4 box sizes in terms of capacity, we charge you €1 extra for gnocchi or stuffed pasta, and finally we serve you a box that is barely half full. Modification of my opinion following the owner's response below: Certainly, I accept to hear that the weight is the same, I did not say that the establishment was "Dishonest" I said that it was "Misleading" and I stand by my position. In the store, nothing indicates the weight of the boxes. On the counter you are simply presented with the different box formats side by side and the human eye evaluates what it can, that is to say a volume. Without additional information, the customer is not supposed to guess that his purchase will be based not on volume, but on a measurement element that he does not have at his disposal. I take advantage of this editorial to mention that the staff were friendly nonetheless and do not deserve bad behavior towards them.

03/08/2024: Having worked there I can say that it is not a restaurant but a tourist trap and nothing more. No dish is homemade, he takes the guests for less than nothing and only thinks about filling the cash register. (which caused me to lose my contract because I did not agree with the way they worked. I'm not telling you about the cellar where the news and the wine are stored, the trash cans next to the food part 20, 30 trash bags. The wines are stored haphazardly and are almost all stale. Basically I strongly advise against it because they are not honest people.

20/09/2024: I just got attacked by the reception because I was looking for a trash can to throw away a tissue and the receptionist took exception to me and said that it was forbidden even though I am a guest of the hotel. Then he followed me everywhere. Dangerous behavior.

18/09/2024: I recently had an excellent stay at Ciarus Youth Hostel in Strasbourg, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and at home. A special shoutout to Deborah, who went above and beyond when I accidentally left my wallet in the locker. She arranged for it to be delivered back to me in Hong Kong promptly and efficiently. I was so relieved and grateful for her help! The service throughout my stay was exceptional. The counter staff were incredibly friendly, providing me with helpful directions to various sites, including the European Court of Human Rights. Their local knowledge made my visit so much easier and more enjoyable. The hostel itself is conveniently located near the main train station, making it easy to get around. The beds and overall environment were impeccably clean, which is always a plus for a solo traveler like myself. I wholeheartedly recommend Ciarus for anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Strasbourg. Thank you once again for sending back my wallet!

31/08/2024: Friendly setting, reservation on the phone in the afternoon for the evening, a very kind woman gives good advice for the evening to eat on the terrace (table of 5 + a baby chair) but unfortunately when no one arrived to welcome us, I returned there were 2 people who work in the establishment at the bar level, I asked for our table, the person blew and his colleague told me not politely that there is no server and to wait for him to come back in short to continue we had an unwelcoming waiter, reserved table not ready, no baby chair......, tasteless and dry cuisine... questionable hygiene (dishes, cutlery, tables... in short not clean) I don't do not recommend the establishment. Poor value for money (evening August 2024)

08/03/2024: Staff really friendly, wasn't worried if you wanted a bite, drink or full meal, still treated really well. Food was good and hot, cider beer and wine good. Staff were interested in where you were from and happy to answer questions as to places of interest. Would recommend and will return again when back.

14/07/2024: Ayant déjeuné ce midi sanglier à la broche nous avons été très bien accueillis, le personnel souriant , très professionnel au petit soin de la clientèle. Rien ne manquait , les serveuses venaient nous voir et nous demandaient si tout allait bien. Tout était parfait , le sanglier au top, et le fromage était très bon aussi. MERCI ET BRAVO Á TOUTE L'ÉQUIPE.

30/04/2024: All very good! Friendly and always very helpful staff, we immediately got on well! We were only sorry that we weren't able to say goodbye to them before returning to Italy. Highly recommended!
